A Bite of Hogwarts - Chapter 50
Chapter 50: Chapter 050 – Instead of Crying Straightaway, We Should Go Through the Process
Instead of Crying Straightaway, We Should Go Through the Process
Draco Malfoy was in a panic at this time.
The boy was shaking so hard that he could barely hold on to the cute toad in his hand.
Draco had imagined that he would smoothly obtain information on one of Hogwarts’s secret passages and various sorts of praise, not be standing in a corner with a sticky toad in his hands.
Vincent Crabbe, who had come with him, was shivering even more badly while attempting to stand protectively in front of him, his eyes stricken with fear as he stared ahead.
As for his other companion, Gregory Goyle, he was even more fortunate from a certain perspective, as he would no longer feel any fear for the time being. He had already been dropped to the floor, knocked unconscious.
At the entrance to the compartment stood a silver-haired girl with a delicate face. She massaged her forehead as she stepped over Goyle’s body and slowly approached the pair, her eyes the amused eyes of a cat that had captured a mouse.
Thud! Thud!
Ah!
The sounds of fist meeting flesh rang out, coupled with a cry of pain from Crabbe. He had tried to charge forward, but now, his body weakly swayed and then dropped to the carpet.
Gulu~
Draco swallowed. The silver-haired devil with her beautiful lake-blue eyes flashed him a charming smile.
“You’re the only one left, Draco…”
Why…
Just when…
Draco began to strenuously think back to just how this had started and just how it had gotten like this…
…
Several minutes ago.
Draco had just opened the compartment door…
“That’s right! This is the place. Kind classmates come in and sit.”
Ignoring the nervous Malfoy, Alina looked up and waved at the two chubby students behind him, a gentle smile on her face.
“Ha, I was right, wasn’t I? The trolley lady clearly said that this was the compartment.”
The empty-handed companion smiled and patted Draco on the shoulder in confusion, “Hey buddy, what’s going on?”
“I…I’m fine. Crabbe, let’s go in.”
Draco Malfoy came back to his senses and decided not to mention the incident that had taken place in Diagon Alley almost a month ago.
After all, the heir of the noble and refined Malfoy was openly helping out a classmate, and he had two companions ready to fight at his side. There was nothing he needed to be afraid of.
With this thought in mind, Malfoy reassumed his proud and confident appearance. He gestured to Crabbe to push aside Alina, and then the three walked in and curiously took in the scene within the compartment.
The compartment’s table was piled with various snacks and books. There were three other wizards of about the same age as Malfoy inside the compartment.
Draco Malfoy realized that when he pushed aside Alina and came in, these young wizards were looking at him with fearful and admiring gazes, which scratched his vanity at exactly the right spot.
“Oh, this is Crabbe, and this is Goyle.”
Draco Malfoy vaguely waved his hand at his two companions, and then raised his chin and proudly introduced himself, “I am Malfoy, Draco Malfoy. As you see, I have brought the toad. So, who’s going to tell me about the secret passage in Hogwarts?”
Cough, cough.
Standing behind the trio, Alina softly coughed. “Correct, I did make this process. But first, we have to verify that it’s the toad we’re looking for.”
Alina massaged her shoulder and curiously examined Malfoy. Did this naughty child really not belong in Gryffindor? His courage was quite commendable. He actually dared to push her?!
“Verify? There wasn’t this condition before.”
Draco frowned as he turned around and unhappily said.
“That’s right. I added it just a second ago.”
Alina shrugged and slowly explained, her eyes looking past Draco’s pale cheeks as she nodded. “Granger, is this toad the one you were looking for, or is it someone else’s pet?”
“It should be…I’m not sure. I’ll go and ask Neville; I mean the owner of the toad, Neville Longbottom.”
Hermione examined the yellow-green toad in Crabbe’s hands, and hesitantly replied.
“Hey! Look closer!”
Goyle unhappily reached out to grab Hermione’s arm, trying to pull her off her seat.
“Don’t touch her!”
Before Goyle’s arm could touch Hermione, Alina rushed between them. Placing a hand in front of Goyle’s arm, she glared at the plump boy and coldly said, “Speak properly, and let’s not get physical.”
Alina glanced at the brown-haired girl hiding behind her and used her head to point at the door. “Hermione, bring Neville over to take a look. We’ll just wait here.”
“But…”
Hermione Granger slowly came back to her senses, and hesitantly took in the mood within the compartment.
“Just go!” Alina frowned.
“Oh. You guys better not fight…”
Uneasy glancing at Goyle and Crabbe, Hermione obediently nodded and ran out.
“Stop! Neither of you is leaving!”
Goyle gruffly called out, moving his feet to try and stop Hermione.
Alas, Alina agilely blocked his path.
“Get out of my way. Don’t make trouble.”
Anger appeared on the boy’s face, and he swung his arm and struck Alina’s arm, sending the girl staggering back.
“What are you doing?!”
“What’s so great about bullying a girl?!”
Harry and Ron finally realized what was going on, and they shot to their feet and began to yell.
When Ron and Harry stood up, Crabbe threw the toad over to Malfoy and began to rub his hands as he faced the pair down.
“Oh, so you want a fight, is that it?”
Draco Malfoy fled his arms and coldly sneered.
Looking around, he saw that with Hermione gone, it was now a three on three. His side was all boys while the other side was two boys and one girl.
Crabbe and Goyle were much bigger, and Ron and Harry, and if this girl’s magic didn’t go out of control, Draco had no need to be afraid of her.
“This is our compartment. If you want a fight, just come at us.”
Harry was not as courageous as he outwardly appeared, but as his friend was being bullied, he hardened his resolve. He shot a glance at Ron, and both placed themselves in front of Alina as they warily sized up the muscular Goyle and Crabbe.
“Oh, you two boys who aren’t even as tall as me, what are you doing?”
The silver-haired girl’s eyes softened as she vigorously rubbed the two boys on the head, and then she pushed them aside and strode to the front.
“Hey, a little fatty, you were the one who attacked me first, right? And you wanted to bully around Hermione?”
Alina moved around her fist as she darkly threatened, her voice trembling with irrepressible excitement and wickedness. The girl shot a glance at the back of her left hand as she spoke, but her skin was unblemished.
“And what if I say yes?”
Goyle pursed his lip and nonchalantly said.
“It’s nothing. I just wanted to say thank you.”
The girl smiled as she recalled Benitez’s words.
“When fighting, don’t waste time on tricks. Just put all your strength into a single punch to seize the advantage.”
Alina suddenly strode forward, suddenly appearing in front of Goyle, and as her foot stomped down, all the power in her body traveled up her spine and into her right fist, which slammed into Goyle’s stomach.
Thump!
The sickening thud of a fist into flesh resounded through the compartment.
“Guh…”
Goyle’s eyes rolled over as he bent over like a cooked lobster. He felt like someone had slammed a hammer into his stomach, causing his intestines to writhe.
Before he could react, Alina grabbed his shoulders and used her momentum to heartlessly slam her knee into the boy’s chest.
Thud!
“Don’t…”
Goyle groaned, in so much pain that he could hardly breathe. Never before had he been so savagely beaten, and tears were beginning to gather in his eyes. He raised his head to plead for mercy when he suddenly saw a tender white forehead rapidly filling his field of vision—thud!
“Tsk, how weak.”
Alina shook her somewhat dizzy head while at the same time dropping the unconscious Goyle to the floor, distaste in her voice.
Fighting was commonplace for a child raised in an orphanage, and as the big sister who needed to protect the other orphans from being bullied, she naturally couldn’t avoid leading the others in fights.
With the teachings of Father Benitez and the strengthening of her half-Veela blood, Alina had astounding strength, and while there were still a few large fish in the lake she couldn’t beat, she had plenty of experience when fighting naughty children.
Gulu~X4
The sight of Goyle being dropped in less than three seconds and the silver-haired girl exuding that terrifying aura had all four boys in the compartment swallowing in unison.
Ron and Harry, who had just been about to rush forward and help Alina, glanced at each other and then awkwardly stepped back. After carefully thinking it over, they decided that they had done nothing to offend Alina as of yet.
Alina happily squinted. Ever since she had been half-coaxed and half-forced into making that Unbreakable Vow with Dumbledore, she had not had a proper fight. Alas, the boys of the Magic World, weren’t good fighters at all, letting down the formidable descriptions in the novels.
“Then, the next one…”
The silver-haired girl raised her head, still raising for a fight. Flashing her sharp front teeth, she looked at the huddling Crabbe and Draco and licked her lips. The words of a devil emerged from her mouth.
“Since you want to fight, I suggest that you first learn the importance of striking first.”
