Chapter 22 What’s the Relationship Between the Two of You?
Before going to bed, Qin Shu had a foot bath as usual.
She made a habit of it after what happened three years ago.
In the past three years, her health got worse, with severe cold inside her body. A veteran doctor of traditional Chinese medicine told her to soak her feet in hot water every night in order to expel the cold and moisture in her body.
“I haven’t slept yet. I’m soaking my feet.” While soaking her feet, Qin Shu talked to Su Xiaoya on the other end of the phone.
Su Xiaoya was her real bosom friend. They were classmates from middle school to high school. After graduation, Su Xiaoya went to the UK for further study, so as to avoid someone she shouldn’t love.
Qin Shu once laughed at her. “Are you going to avoid him forever?”
Su Xiaoya said casually then, “Rest assured, I will soon start a romantic relationship abroad and forget him.”
Four years passed. However, Su Xiaoya failed herself. Rather than forget that man, she grew more obsessed with him.
“Don’t eat those cold things anymore, or the cold will be heavier in your body and out of control,” Su Xiaoya nagged. “By the way, I have some good news for you.”
“What good news?”
“Hee-hee, I’m coming back tomorrow!”
Qin Shu was stunned, “Why so suddenly?”
Su Xiaoya sighed, “Actually I had this plan six months ago. As you said, I have to face the music. And I miss my parents and friends at home so much.”
Qin Shu was delighted by the news. She smiled, “You should have figured this out a long time ago. That would save you so much trouble. What time is your flight tomorrow?”
“Eight o’clock in the evening.”
“Ok, I’ll pick you up after work.”
Su Xiaoya gave an exclamation, “I know you are the best to me. Give me a kiss.”
The two girls exchanged sweet words over the phone like lovers.
Qin Shu hung up and threw her phone aside. At this point, Ling Mohan went out of the bathroom half-naked, revealing his bronze skin that was full of masculine charm, eight sturdy abdominal muscles that were shocking to the eyes, and two sexy V-line abs!
With such a good shape, he lived up to the name of a special troop soldier.
Their personal grudges not considered, Qin Shu actually appreciated Ling Mohan’s shape.
She had a small hobby: studying the history of handsome men from all over the world. For this end, she even read a lot about unofficial history, which was dotted with intriguing love stories of handsome men and brothel girls.
That’s one of the reasons she was known as a dissolute girl when studying at university.
Qin Shu, however, was very straightforward. Admiring handsome men was not against the law; compared with those who secretly wanted lust with others, it was better to openly admire handsome men.
Ling Mohan wiped his wet hair and said unpleasantly, “Who were you talking with so intimately on the phone? You are my wife now. Behave yourself!”
“Are you jealous?” Qin Shu teased him, bending over to dry her feet with a towel.
There was no response for quite a while.
Qin Shu wondered and looked up, only to find Ling Mohan staring straight at her feet, his eyes dark and blurred.
Qin Shu’s feet looked very pretty. They were small and delicately-shaped with slender and smooth skin. Her pink fingernails were like crystals, round and neat, looking very cute.
“What’s wrong?” Qin Shu was puzzled by his gaze.
Ling Mohan walked over with his thin lips closed. He held one of her little white feet in his palm, which seemed even bigger than her foot.
In a trance, Qin Shu felt at this moment that she was being cherished by him like a treasure.
So weird.
Eager to dispense with such feelings, she tried to take back her foot, but in vain.
“Don’t move,” Ling Mohan said in a low voice, playing with her foot obsessively.
His palm was a bit rough because of many years of gun holding, and the thin calluses rubbed Qin Shu’s tender foot, giving her a strange feeling. It was hard to tell whether it was comfortable or painful.
Three years ago, after the night with Ling Mohan, she woke up with purple-red love bites all over her body and even tooth prints on her insteps. How crazy he had been that night.
His behavior tonight made her believe that Ling Mohan also liked her feet very much.
According to her extensive research in unofficial Chinese history, many men had a foot-fetish. Many men were curiously fascinated by or even went crazy for women’s small feet. This was exemplified by three-inch feet popular in ancient China.
Tut, she didn’t expect Ling Mohan was one of them.
Thinking of him pressing her against the dinner table, Qin Shu decided to take revenge. She stretched out the other free foot and stepped onto his abdominal muscles.
Ling Mohan’s breathing was disturbed and became faster.
Ling Mohan led a life of continence in the army. He didn’t even like the intimacy from women. He seldom thought of having sex with other women. His mind was occupied by that night with Qin Shu.
Only that night could arouse him.
Their reunion now proved that the little girl seemed to have unknown magic power to arouse his desire easily.
He couldn’t help his desire to hug her, kiss her, and have sex with her.
In front of him was a beautiful woman, looking at him like a flower with a beamish smile.
Ling Mohan couldn’t wait to spring at her.
Yet, he was a soldier who got principles and bottom lines. He had excellent self-control.
If Qin Shu was loath to do it, he wouldn’t force her. Though they were married, it was still a rape he despised most.
It was substantially a torture for him to see and touch her but unable to do what he most wanted with her.
Ling Mohan became utterly impatient and upset.
He harrumphed with dissatisfaction, released her little foot, got up and rushed into the bathroom. He didn’t come out until one hour had passed.
At the same time, the little culprit had long fallen into a sound sleep in bed.
She didn’t sleep like a lady at night, tossing and turning on the bed.
Sometimes she rested her leg on Ling Mohan’s waist.
Sometimes she rolled into his arms unconsciously, sound asleep.
Having had no sex for three years, Ling Mohan found it more and more impossible to suppress his sexual passion with such a stirring siren lying on the same bed with him.
The next day, Adjutant Li noticed the dark-ringed eyes of his colonel. It seemed that he hadn’t slept well.
Qin Shu, on the contrary, looked refreshed and went to work humming a pleasant tune.
Her team leader Lin Xian called her into the office and inquired about her relationship with the CEO of the military industry group.
Qin Shu played the fool. “Nothing beyond business.”
“Really?” Lin Xian didn’t buy it.
Previously, the colonel’s secretary called him and required Qin Shu to go to the top floor, saying that something was wrong with her documents.
Nevertheless, Qin Shu was not punished. Furthermore, the secretary even asked Lin Xian to keep it a secret, for the CEO would handle it personally.
There must be something dubious going on with them.
Qin Shu vowed solemnly, “Boss, I’m just an intern. If I had any special relationship with the CEO, why would I work with you as an intern?”
These words made sense.
Therefore, Lin Xian didn’t take it seriously. He scolded smilingly, “Do you think you are underemployed as my intern? Alright, I’ve got an important ordnance document for you. Translate it ASAP and deliver it to the technical workshop of the military headquarters.”
It was out of Qin Shu’s expectation that she was allowed to translate ordnance materials so soon. She exclaimed happily, “Boss, thank you for the promotion!”
She left with the document and ran into Xiaosu, another intern.
Xiaosu was also a graduate from the National Defense University and majored in the same subject as Qin Shu. Seeing Qin Shu being valued by the team leader, she was somewhat dissatisfied.
“Hey, Qin Shu, the boss likes you very much.” Beholding the document in Qin Shu’s hand, Xiaosu said sourly.
“Whoever is capable gets the job, don’t you understand?” Qin Shu replied bluntly.
Xiaosu gritted her teeth. She saw Tang Anru walking over and immediately grabbed her by the hand and said provocatively, “Did you mean Anru isn’t as competent as you?”
“I didn’t say that.” Qin Shu didn’t want to argue with her. She went straight to her desk and started to work.
Tang Anru asked Xiaosu gently, “What’s wrong between you and Qin Shu?”
“Humph.” Xiaosu sniffed with discontent, and then said in a low voice, “Anru, I think you are much more superior to Qin Shu, but the boss favors her instead. Qin Shu must have played tricks. Maybe she seduced the boss.”
“Don’t talk nonsense. Qin Shu wouldn’t do such a thing.”
“Why wouldn’t she? She was flirtatious in the university, and everyone knew it,” Xiaosu grew increasingly dissatisfied. “You are too outstanding to be friends with her. Be careful that she may set you up behind your back.”
Tang Anru smiled. “No, she will not. I believe in Qin Shu.”
Xiaosu gave up. “Anru, you are too simple. You will find it out later.”
Tang Anru, who was well-known as being simple and kind, gave a smile. Her benign smile could win others’ favors easily.
Qin Shu was busy with her translation until some minutes past 6 pm, by which time all the others in the office had left.
Su Xiaoya said her flight would land at 8 pm. Qin Shu hurriedly cleaned up and took a taxi to the airport.
The airport was busy as usual. However, there were armed policemen and special troops everywhere and stricter security check was enforced.
After passing the security check, Qin Shu checked the flight information and found Su Xiaoya’s flight had just arrived.
As she was waiting at the exit, someone patted her on the shoulder, “Baby, I am here!”
There was only one person in the world who would call her baby. It was Su Xiaoya.
Qin Shu turned around to receive Su Xiaoya’s passionate hug and exclamation, “It’s great! I’m finally back!”
“Stop. You are strangling me.” Qin Shu was forced back and hit into a pillar.
Su Xiaoya loosened her hands and stuck out her tongue in embarrassment. “I’m too excited.”
She had a typical baby face with big eyes. Two dimples appeared in her face when she smiled.
Qin Shu took over Su Xiaoya’s suitcase and sized her up seriously and then nodded, “Hmm, look at your size. You must have had a good time abroad.”
“Baby, are you mocking me for being fat?” Su Xiaoya pouted and grabbed Qin Shu’s hand. “I tell you, this is not real fat. I have been fed up with all those steaks and burgers these years and couldn’t help fermenting like a bun. With one squeeze, I will shrink into nothing.”
“Then I shall call you Bun from now on.” Qin Shu teased her.
“No way!” Su Xiaoya stamped her foot and then stopped to stare at Qin Shu. “Baby, you look more gorgeous. No wonder that CEO is fascinated by you. Hey, how are you getting along?”
She was referring Qi Mingran.
Not long ago, Qin Shu had not broken up with Qi Mingran and said a few words about him to Su Xiaoya.
“We broke up,” Qin Shu said calmly.
Su Xiaoya was stunned. “Why?”
“He cheated on me.” Qin Shu said sarcastically, “He prefers decent and prudential ladies who fits in with his aura as a CEO and can make him feel proud on social occasions.”
“Bah! Stop!” Su Xiaoya spat at such a person. “Baby, don’t be sad. You deserve better.”
As they were talking, Qin Shu’s cell phone rang—it was Ling Mohan.
“Don’t be stunned. Now turn left.” Ling Mohan ordered.
Qin Shu looked to the left and found Ling Mohan standing over there, gazing at her.
