The moves executed by Xiao Yu were clear and straightforward, simple and smooth. He moved like flowing clouds and water. This was the first time Ji Huo had found someone who could use the attacking skills of thieves with such perfection.
The high damage points emerging from the head of the white wolf made Feng Li and Xue Rong feel dumbfounded.
Was this damage caused by a burst attack? A burst attack could cause a 200% attack damage effect, but it couldn’t produce a value as high as 385 points. Seeing Xiao Yu calmly approaching the desert hunter, Ji Huo and Feng Li exchanged surprised looks.
“That was not burst attack damage,” said Feng Li to Ji Huo in a whisper. A burst attack alone wouldn’t cause such high damage.
Nodding his head, Ji Huo said, “I know.” It seemed that he had thought of something else.
“What are your thoughts?” asked Feng Li.
“Do you remember the success rate of a skill?” returned Ji Huo.
“I know that all professional players have a success rate when they use a skill. The more successful a skill is used, the higher the damage points. When I use a skill, I can get a 70% success rate at most,” said Feng Li. All of a sudden, he seemed to have figured something out as he said in surprise, “Are you saying…”
“Yes,” Ji Huo interrupted, “the more successfully a skill is used, the higher the damage value. What if the success rate is 90% or 100%? What effect would that have?” Ji Huo recalled the move Xiao Yu had done earlier. The reversed backstabbing skill Xiao Yu used looked like an acrobatic move, and it was straightforward and lethal. It was hard for Ji Huo to imagine that someone could complete it so perfectly.
“Ninety percent… 100%. It’s hard to imagine that someone could use a skill at such a level. I can’t improve my skills beyond 70%,” remarked Feng Li with a hint of admiration. He was someone who tended to look down on others unless he met a capable person whom he could truly admire, like he did when he met Ji Huo.
“Pay attention to the fight,” reminded Ji Huo.
Charge!
Though the two of them were chitchatting, Feng Li didn’t slack off in the least. As he found an opportunity, Feng Li swung his big sword at the remaining wolf with all his strength.
Ji Huo turned his attention to the desert hunter.
Several fireballs exploded on the desert hunter one after the other. Under the joint attacks of Xiao Yu and Ji Huo, the desert hunter only had 1100 health points left.
Because Xiao Yu’s attacks were truly formidable and terrifying, the desert hunter was still focusing all of his hostility on Xiao Yu even though Ji Huo had caused him a barrage of damage as well.
The desert hunter moved swiftly to dodge Xiao Yu’s attacks. He stopped short on a sand slope and reached his right hand into the quiver behind his back, pulling out five arrows. He nocked them on the bow and shot them out with a whooshing sound, the five arrows heading toward Xiao Yu in a straight line.
Seeing the five arrows flying toward him, Xiao Yu was astonished. He didn’t expect the desert hunter to use such a skill. He believed that he could at most withstand three arrows. If he were hit by all five arrows, he would be finished for sure.
The five arrows were only a few meters away from him. Xiao Yu held his dagger tightly in his right hand. The five arrows traveled so fast that he had no time to dodge them.
Hiding skill!
Xiao Yu had no choice but to use the hiding skill in such a dire situation.
Ding!!! Ding!!! Ding!!!
The five arrows had all dropped to the ground after they hit Xiao Yu. They didn’t cause any damage to him because he had just entered the hiding state.
The hiding skill made one invincible one second after it was used. By using it, Xiao Yu had successfully avoided being harmed by the successive five arrows shot by the desert hunter.
Xiao Yu disappeared suddenly, making Ji Huo the only target for the desert hunter.
Puff!!! Puff!!! Puff!!!
Many feathered arrows pierced through Ji Huo’s cotton armor easily one after the other. Fortunately, Xue Rong had kept a safe distance from the battlefield, and it just so happened that Ji Huo was in range of her treatment. Black flashes were visible on Ji Huo’s body, treating the damage being inflicted on him.
“My magic is almost gone!” said Xue Rong anxiously. They had been fighting for some time, so her magic points were nearly drained.
Ji Huo and the desert hunter were attacking each other, and the two of them were both exhausted. Aided by Feng Li, Ji Huo was continuously reducing the health of the desert hunter. Hearing what Xue Rong said, he was taken aback because he was fully aware that he would be killed if he didn’t have the healing treatments from her. The attacks of the desert hunter were just that powerful.
The desert hunter pulled out five arrows from the quiver and nocked them on the bow, aiming them at Ji Huo.
Charge!
Feng Li charged toward the desert hunter in an attempt to stop the attacks of the desert hunter.
Whoosh!!!
The five arrows were shot out along with the vibrating noise of the bowstring, heading toward Ji Huo.
“I’m done for.” This flashed in Ji Huo’s mind. The five arrows pierced through his cotton armor, with five damage values popping up over his head. His health had reached the bottom, and Ji Huo dropped to the ground.
Standing by the side, Xue Rong was enraged with a flushed face, and she stomped her feet on the ground in frustration. However, without any magic left, she couldn’t do anything to help him.
As the desert hunter shot those five arrows, Feng Li went before the desert hunter. He kept swinging the big sword in his hands in an effort to get the desert hunter’s attention. If the desert hunter intended to escape, he would have to shoot his arrows while running to drain Feng Li’s health. Would Feng Li become his moving target as a result?
The desert hunter blocked Feng Li’s attacks with the short sword in his hand as he was running away from him. He reached his hand back and pulled out an arrow from the quiver, the tip of the arrow emitting a dark green glow.
It was another arrow smeared with speed reduction poison!
Feng Li wouldn’t have any chance of survival if he were hit by the arrow. He couldn’t help but feel frustrated. All of a sudden, he saw a figure appear behind the desert hunter. It was Xiao Yu, and a beam of light showed in Feng Li’s eyes.
It was unexpected for Xiao Yu to suddenly show up here.
“Don’t treat me like I don’t exist!” Seeing the desert hunter nock the arrow on the bow, ready to shoot at Feng Li, Xiao Yu grunted in disapproval. He swung the dagger in his right hand like a poisonous snake darting out of a cave, striking at the back of the desert hunter’s head.
Sneak-attack!
Before the desert hunter realized what was happening, the dagger had already hit the back of his head. Maybe, he still couldn’t figure out how Xiao Yu had arrived behind him before he fell unconscious.
The desert hunter was now in an unconscious state. Feng Li took advantage of the opportunity and rushed over with the big sword in his hands.
