Chapter 26: Peggy, George, And Suzy
Su Yu brought the tigers inside.
Meanwhile, on Jianghang Freeway, a car was speeding down the road.
A young man bolted up excitedly and said, “Professor! This is huge! The South Chinese tiger that appeared yesterday came back! And there’s more than one! It has cubs! Two cubs!”
“What? Are you sure? Two cubs? Chen, I hope this isn’t a joke!”
The young man named Chen replied, “Professor! It’s real! If you don’t believe me, you can go and have a look at the stream at Lion Fang! All three tigers are there!”
Professor Wang quickly opened the streaming app on his phone. He had just downloaded the app yesterday after knowing about the existence of the tigers.
With him busy doing research on the South Chinese tigers, he never had the time to watch people streaming their lives. If it was not for the tigers, he would never have downloaded the app.
He only followed one person on the app: Su Yu!
He tapped on Su Yu’s stream and noticed that there were already 2 million viewers watching the stream.
The first thing he saw on the stream was a huge tiger. Behind the adult tiger were two smaller figures. They were none other than the cubs of the South Chinese tiger.
Professor Wang had studied South Chinese tigers for almost his entire life, so he would never have mistaken them.
“Great! Great! This is great! I didn’t expect to see a wild South Chinese tiger with my own eyes before I retire! Not just one but three of them! This is huge! Three South Chinese tigers are considered treasures to the country! I must bring them back for protection!”
The intern, Chen, asked from the rear seat, “But, professor, will the tigers follow us back without any question?”
Chen was worried because they were wild tigers that they were talking about. There was a high chance that the approach would be dangerous.
Professor Wang said without a second thought, “We might not have what it takes to bring the tigers in, but the streamer does! Didn’t you see what he did to the tiger yesterday? He punched it with his bare hands! He must have a way to restrain it!”
“But will he agree with us? It seems like he’s close to the tigers. Will he let the tigers follow us back?” Chen asked.
Professor Wang reacted sourly to Chen’s words.
“Chen, what do you mean by ‘let’? You make it sound like he has the right to determine where the tiger goes. South Chinese tigers are protected animals under the nation’s laws. How can it be his private property? You have to know that other than national zoos and parks, no other individuals have the right to keep and rear South Chinese tigers privately. He’s a citizen of the country and knowing this is the least he could do. We could just give him an honorable flag or whatever to praise him for his good deed for the country!”
Chen nodded as he grasped the professor’s teachings.
“Okay, let’s hope it will be smooth.”
…
In Su Yu’s house in Xiantai Village, three South Chinese tigers were brought into the yard.
Truth be told, Su Yu himself was a little afraid at first because they were tigers after all.
Simply letting tigers into the house somehow felt weird.
On top of that, he already had a big white snake and a dog. The situation only became even merrier with the addition of the three tigers.
Su Yu had a feeling that with a few more additions, he could open a zoo.
“Oh, right! Did any of the villagers spot you when you came?” Su Yu asked.
The tiger growled. “Don’t worry. We took the other path, so no one saw us.”
“Great. But I have to make myself clear. I can give you the water that you seek, but on three conditions,” Su Yu said.
“Three conditions?” The tiger growled.
Although it might have possessed a certain level of intelligence, it was not that smart to understand what Su Yu meant.
Three conditions?
“Yeah, three conditions means you have to promise me three things,” Su Yu explained.
“Growl! Oh, I see! You could’ve just said that from the start. Why are you beating the bush!?” the tiger complained.
Su Yu was speechless. “Fine. Back to business. First, you have to listen to me if you want to stay. Like you said before, you can have the water, but I will be your master.”
“No problem. That’s what we agreed on,” the tiger said.
Su Yu nodded. “Secondly, without my permission, you cannot leave the house or harm anyone who walks through the gate unless they come here with ill intentions, but you can’t kill them! Just wound them or capture them! Don’t eat them either! Got it?”
“Not a problem! I promise not to kill!” said the tiger.
“Great. These are the conditions for now,” said Su Yu.
The conditions were not just for the tigers; they also applied to Little White.
Little White was a huge snake, after all, and its presence would surely turn heads. On top of that, it was a python.
There were more than a dozen families in Xiantai Village and a lot of them were senior citizens.
Both Little White and the tigers were terrifying to the villagers. Even an adult would be terrified, let alone the elderly. Things would go out of control if the tigers or Little White went out to frighten people.
Fortunately, the tiger was rather obedient, hence Su Yu allowed it to stay.
The viewers from the stream also liked the tigers because they were protected animals, after all. Besides, there were South Chinese tigers, a rare species of the big cat family, thus they might be even more valuable than pandas.
“Bro, can you really talk to animals? What did you tell the tigers?”
Su Yu answered, “I told them if they were to stay, they must promise me three things. There are people in the village, so I told them to not go out, and they agreed.”
“To be honest, I’m still wondering what kind of special abilities Master Su has. How can he talk to animals?”
“I don’t believe him. I don’t believe that anyone in this world can talk to tigers!”
Su Yu challenged, “You don’t? Okay, then. Let me demonstrate.”
He then turned the camera to the tigers.
“Listen here. Sit!”
The moment the tigers heard Su Yu’s command, they sat down on the ground as though they were professionally trained.
“Lie down!”
“Turn!”
“Hand!”
Three kings of the jungle were behaving like obedient puppies in front of Su Yu as they obeyed every single command of his without any hesitation.
“Holy hell! They are really obedient! This is ridiculous!”
“I’m on my knees! Are you some kind of super-powered psychic?”
“Are these really tigers from the books?”
“I didn’t know tigers were this obedient! Maybe I should try it when I visit the zoo next time! I’ll jump into the cage and talk to them!”
“I think you shouldn’t do that. Jump into the cage and nothing will be left of you, not even your bones.”
“Damn! Taming tigers on stream? This is even more exciting than Boruto[1]!”
“Master Su! Name them, please! You can’t just call them South Chinese tiger, can you? It’s strange.”
“Yeah! Name them!”
“I have a suggestion! Why don’t we go with Peggy, George, and Suzy?”
“You genius! Why don’t you call them Spongebob, Patrick, and Squidward?”
“Hahaha! Peggy the pig? This is darn funny! ROFL!”
Su Yu, however, reacted differently when he saw the names. “Peggy, George, and Suzy? Sounds good.”
Everyone in the stream was dumbfounded.
“Damn! Dude, are you for real?”
“We are just joking! Are you really going to name the tigers that?”
“They are three authentic wild South Chinese tigers! Peggy is a name for pigs! Master Su, it’s a sin to name them that!”
“2333!”
