Chapter 58: Ma… Ma… Ma!

Shi Jiayi was dumbfounded. What was happening? She did not make any mistakes while cooking so the dishes should have been fine. They only put laxatives in Ye Tianyi’s rice. Why was everything salty to them but not to Ye Tianyi?

Something must be wrong! Or Ye Tianyi was pretending? No, it was impossible. It was unbearable. How would Ye Tianyi be able to bear it? How absurd!

“Delicious.”

Ye Tianyi took the plate and put all the dishes into his bowl, eating the rice with the vegetables and soup. Nonstop. So comfortable.

Shi Jiayi could not believe it. There were laxatives in his rice. It should not affect someone of her caliber. Even if Ye Tianyi had eaten it already, she wanted to try it herself. Absurd?

Ye Tianyi passed it to her. Shi Jiayi picked up a dollop of rice using her chopsticks and ate it. Huo Shui looked troubled. Her eyes were red from all the saltiness, and she watched Shi Jiayi with bated breath.

It did not matter if Ye Tianyi ate it before.

Shi Jiayi tried some. It tasted fine! The dishes tasted just fine, so why was it salty when she tried it earlier?

“Say it. What did you do?”

Shi Jiayi stared at Ye Tianyi.

Ye Tianyi shrugged, looking all innocent. “I’ll say. Baby Shi, don’t accuse me of things that I didn’t do. I haven’t done anything since I arrived, right? You’re the one who cooked the meal. I didn’t touch it at all. You set the table and you passed me the rice.”

Shi Jiayi thought what Ye Tianyi said made sense, but a situation as ridiculous as this could only be associated with Ye Tianyi.

“Enough, enough!”

Shi Jiayi could not understand what was going on.

This was absurd.

Ten minutes later, Ye Tianyi had finished eating almost everything on the table.

“Miss Shi, I’m hungry,” Huo Shui said.

“There.”

Shi Jiayi passed a piece of bread to Huo Shui.

She could not eat anything that she had prepared. She was disgruntled. Everything she ate tasted salty while Ye Tianyi was fine eating everything. She just could not understand it. It was very strange indeed.

Huo Shui was staring at the drumstick on the table but was forced to eat a piece of bread!

Alright, you can be smug for now but you’ll be sorry later.

Puf—

She spat the bread out.

“Salty.”

Huo Shui could not take it anymore. It was like accidentally swallowing a mouthful of seawater while swimming in the ocean—unbearable.

“What?”

Shi Jiayi could not believe Huo Shui and tore a piece for herself.

“Ptui—ptui—ptui—

She spat it out immediately.

The loaf of bread was new. How could it be salty, too? Impossible?

She walked to Ye Tianyi’s side.

“Ye Tianyi, tell us. What’s happening?”

Ye Tianyi shrugged with open hands.

“What’s this? Baby Shi, you can’t blame me for everything, right?”

She knew it was Ye Tianyi. Did he somehow manage to sprinkle saltwater on the bread while they were cooking?

Shi Jiayi took a deep breath and walked away.

Huo Shi took a canned drink from the fridge.

This should be fine, right? The can was not opened. Ye Tianyi would not have been able to do anything to it.

She took a sip. It felt great.

Ye Tianyi thought perhaps he should stop. Otherwise, they would find out it was him. It was too absurd.

“I’m full, thank you for the meal, Baby Shi. Let’s go into the room,” Ye Tianyi smiled and said to Shi Jiayi.

“Let’s watch some TV. There.”

Shi Jiayi passed the TV remote to Ye Tianyi and got close to him, placing something small on him.

The two paid close attention to it.

They had rigged the remote so that once he pushed the power button, he would be electrocuted by the small button she had placed on him. The remote was in his hands. They wouldn’t be touching any buttons so they could act as if they knew nothing about it.

Ye Yianyi thought something was wrong. If she wanted to watch TV, she could have pushed the buttons herself. Why would she pass the remote to him?

Using the Dream comes true card, Ye Tianyi wished to transfer the consequence of pressing any button on the remote to Huo Shui. This should be considered a small matter, right? Everybody, including Ye Tianyi, did not see the small button fall onto Huo Shui.

Ye Tinayi pushed the power button.

Huo Shui started trembling.

“Ma… Ma… Ma…”

Shi Jiayi and Ye Tianyi were stunned.

Shi Jiayi was confused. Why was Huo Shui being electrocuted? She distinctly remembered placing the button on Ye Tianyi. Ye Tianyi was stunned, too. Fuck! These two women spent a lot of money to trick him.

“Huo… Huo Shui.”

It only stopped after half a minute. Huo Shui crumpled to the floor in exhaustion, questioning her life.

She was about to cry. She had never felt so resentful before. Why did she get electrocuted?

“I… I’ll go wash my face.”

Huo Shui then walked to the restroom, grumbling.

“What happened?”

Yi Tianyi looked ‘stunned’.

“I’ll go check on Huo Shui.”

Shi Jiayi ran to the restroom.

“Miss Shi, why would you place the button on me?”

Huo Shui discovered the button and took it off of her, looking at Shi Jiayi with grief.

“Huo Shui, please, believe me. I really did put it on Ye Tianyi. Could he have discovered it and transferred it to you?”

Shi Jiayi was shocked. Was Ye Tianyi that powerful?

Huo Shui cleaned her face with the towels to calm herself down.

“It’s ok, he will feel itchy very soon,” Shi Jiayi said as she tried to comfort Hui Shui.

“Mm…”

When Huo Shui said ‘Mm’, it sounded like she was about to cry. She had never experienced this much trouble before.

They left the restroom together.

“Baby Shi, let’s go into the bedroom,” Ye Tianyi said to Shi Jiayi, rubbing his hands.

“What’s the rush? Let’s wait awhile”

“Wait? What are we waiting for?”

“Waiting for something good,” Shi Jiayi said.

“Waiting for something good?”

Ye Tianyi smiled. Ye Tianyi did not know what was in the water, but he knew that something was about to happen. ‘Dream comes true card, please make it take effect now…’

Huo Shui suddenly felt that this home was not a safe place. It seemed as though her body started to itch. She started to feel that something was very wrong.

Shi Jiayi saw that Huo Shui was scratching herself. She frowned. She, too, felt that something was not right.

“Itchy…itchy.”

Huo Shui could not stop scratching. The image of a beautiful girl was ruined.

She ran to a wall and started scratching herself against the wall.

“Itchy, Miss Shi, antidote…antidote.”

“Ah… Oh, oh, oh.”

Shi Jiayi passed the antidote to Huo Shui immediately.
