Chapter 46: Two Ways
Back in the cavern.
Han Li stared at Devil Light as he slowly disappeared into his shadow and laughed bitterly in his heart as he did not want to think anymore about the sealing of his Nascent Soul.
He looked up at the large hole in the ceiling and glanced at the starry night sky.
After a while, he got up and walked to the position of the sixth star, the Open Sun Star of the Big Dipper Congregation Array and sat down cross-legged once more. He made several different gestures with his hands and the array was immediately activated.
After a moment, Han Li slowly closed his eyes and his body remained frozen. In the end, after a good half an hour, as he was starting to chant the sixth level of the Minor Big Dipper Star Nascent Skill, a small accident occurred.
He did not know why, but the astral power he pulled from the skies this time was a few times stronger than previous efforts. Within the span of a few breaths, six extremely thick rays of star light formed and from afar, it looked like six blurry rays were burrowing their way into the mountain. The pulsating star light spread apart from the center and the aura was extraordinary.
Han Li was very surprised by this turn of events. When he was cultivating the first five levels, even though there were some weird signs, it was nowhere as grand as it was now, so he had not thought too much about it. After all, in the Spirit Imperial World, there were several cultivation skills that used the power of the stars and could cause some changes to the skies which was considered perfectly normal.
However, with this alarming phenomena today, it would be difficult to not attract the attention of curious parties. He shook his head and gave no further consideration to it as he collected his thoughts and continued to cultivate the starlight.
Above a certain cave, a muscular man stood up in the air and glanced at the six gigantic rays of light from the skies as he showed a surprised and stern expression.
In the next moment, a black glow covered him as he morphed into a blurry shadow and flew out. He quietly landed somewhere close to Han Li’s cave.
The closer he got, the more overwhelming the astral power felt to him. They were like pillars of immense power that sent out wave after wave into the surroundings. After some hesitation, he planned to take the risk and moved forward to check it out.
“Luo Jun, wait a moment.” A voice suddenly rang out behind Luo Jun. A gentle-looking man appeared in front of him.
It was the peak master of Outcloud Peak, Nangong Zhangshan.
“Peak Master.”
Luo Jun froze for a second. A black glow pulsated over his body as he revealed a little of it, demonstrating that he wanted to say something.
However, Nangong Zhangshan waved a hand and interrupted Luo Jun.
“Say nothing and follow me.”
After that, he did not bother to wait for Luo Jun’s reply as the white glow on him grew and he morphed into a white rainbow and flew towards the mountain peak.
Luo Jun opened his mouth. However, seeing that Nangong Zhangshan had already left, he had no choice but to morph into a black glow and followed the latter.
The moment Luo Jun landed, he saw Nangong Zhangshan walk towards the depth of the sanctuary with his hands behind him. Luo Jun rushed forward hurriedly and said towards the latter.
“Peak Master, with the unusual sight that Han Li caused, I’m afraid that he is cultivating an unusual skill. This person’s origin was originally suspicious. If we don’t investigate it clearly, how can we answer to the Sect if they ask questions about it?”
“It’s Great-grand Elder that told us not to care about this matter.” Peak Master Nangong said as he continued to walk.
“Grand Elder! Why did he…” Luo Jun froze, surprise written all over his face before he asked again in confusion.
“Great-grand Elder has his own reasons. We just have to follow them.” Peak Master Nangong suddenly stopped and turned around to say.
“Since it’s an order from Great-grand Elder, I understand.” Hearing this, Luo Jun nodded.
“Also, instruct everyone that no one is to approach Han Li’s cave, not to mention disturb him!” Peak Master Nangong instructed again.
“Yes!” Luo Jun received the order and walked out of the sanctuary.
“Han Li… Who are you exactly? To make even our Great-grand Elder who is often in closed door training and who doesn’t even ask about our Sect’s issues to care so much about you…” Peak Master Nangong muttered to himself as he fell into deep thought.
The unusual sight above Han Li’s cave did not manifest for too long. After more than an hour, the six rays of starry giant pillars dissipated and disappeared.
However, even with such a large commotion, not one person from the Sect came to check on it, it was like no one had seen it.
In the cave, Han Li was still sitting cross-legged. His eyes were already opened, but he did not move at all, his expression a little dark.
The sixth level of Minor Big Dipper Star Nascent Skill was a lot more difficult than he had thought. Not only was it a lot more obscure than the fifth level, the most important point was that it required a few times more astral power. Even so the current level of his consciousness was more than enough.
However, using a lot of his consciousness’ power depleted a lot of his magic as well. He could still hold onto the previous cultivation level through consuming Cloud Crane Grass, but now, even if he kept using his green bottle to enhance the spirit herb without stopping, he could not promise that he could continue cultivating nonstop.
With this speed, he would need at least ten years in order to succeed at cultivating this sixth level.
Han Li could not help but furrow his eyebrows in response. He needed to return to the Immortal World as soon as possible. Ten years was too long, he could not wait any longer.
To be honest, if a person could successfully cultivate the sixth level of the Minor Big Dipper Star Nascent Skill within ten years, the speed was already very alarming. If that Cold Fire Ancestor in the Immortal World found out, he would probably be so shocked that his jaw would fall off.
Han Li caressed his chin, even though his expression changed as he suddenly thought of something. He closed his eyes and recalled the information from the scrolls and books he read before.
After a while, he opened his eyes with a raised eyebrow, a small smirk on his lips.
Cold Fire Sect was indeed one of the top three Sects in the Spirit Imperial World. He actually managed to find two ways to cultivate faster from the information he got from the inner sect’s Sutra Pavilion.
One of it was related to Primordial Realm Temple, another large Sect at the same level to Cold Fire Sect.
Amongst the many inheritances in Primordial Realm Temple, there were several cultivation magics that depended on astral power. Apparently, it was said that their founding Elder was well-versed in star magic.
In the Sect, there was a “Multiple Star Stage” that used countless rare and precious equipment. There was an ancient star array formation carved on it.
The array was personally set up by that Primordial Realm Temple’s immortal ancestor and was way beyond the Big Dipper congregation array Han Li put together using his own knowledge.
With the help of this array, it was said that one could easily pull more than five times the usual astral power and it was a famous treasure across the entire Spirit Imperial World.
However, Primordial Realm Temple placed a lot of attention on this treasured stage. Even within their Sect, only the most core disciples and Elders could use it, while outsiders could not even look at it.
As for the other method, a certain jade scroll noted the way of making a unique treasure. This treasure was called “Star and Moon Treasured Mirror”.
The star and moon treasured mirror was not some strong and offensive spiritual treasure. It was only an assistive treasure. It only needed a little magic to activate it but this treasure mirror would be able to attract a large amount of starlight.
The method to make this treasure mirror was obtained by one of the Cold Fire Sect Integration level Elders from a secret realm tens of thousands of years ago.
Because the Sect did not have a lot of star magic skills, and the creation of this artefact required at least ten times the treasured ingredients the usual treasures required, no one had dared to make it, despite how precious this jade scroll was.
Amongst which, the most important thing was that one of the main ingredients in the creation of the treasure was a special ingredient called “Yin Time Stone”. This mineral stone was extremely rare and was something the Sky Ghost Sect saw as their most precious possession.
Apparently, cultivating the last few levels of the Sky Ghost Sect’s sect skill, “Sky Ghost Magic” required a large amount of the Yin Time Stone.
That was why the already few Yin Time Stone mines the Spirit Imperial World had were all controlled by the Sky Ghost Sect.
It could be said that no matter if it was the multiple star stage or the star and moon treasured mirror, both were extremely hard to obtain.
However, Han Li only contemplated for a moment before he stood up and left the cave.
