Chapter 30: Throwing Herself Into His Arms
Sephone was stunned for a moment, but she still obeyed my instructions and retracted her right arm.
“Icicle!”
A clear and delicate shout came from Sephone.
I followed the direction of her gaze, searching for traces of icicles.
“Icicle!”
Sephone suddenly raised her right hand and shouted again.
This time.
A large cluster of ice crystals appeared not far from us.
“I don’t think I can do that. I have to raise my right hand to activate magic. Will, did you discover something?”
Sephone looked at me again. There was now doubt and curiosity in her eyes.
“Sephone, did you learn the spell you’re using from a magic book?”
“That’s right. Father hired a governess to guide me, but the magic is still what was recorded in the Book of Rosiel. I only need to imagine what the magic will look like after it’s activated and reach out my right hand.”
“I see. It seems that the right hand is the medium for you to activate your magic without chanting.”
I think I understand now.
Sure enough, everyone has their own medium. Mine is will, and Sephone’s right hand is her medium.
“Medium?! What are you talking about, Will?”
Sephone was completely confused. She looked at me, who was standing there in a daze, and waved her hand in front of my eyes.
“Sephone, try to close your eyes and use your will to sense the magic in your body. When you can feel the magic overflowing in your body, don’t raise your hand. Try activating the magic again.”
“Mm… mm, alright.”
Sephone closed her eyes and frowned. After a full minute and a half, the frown eased a little.
“Icicle!”
Crack~
In front of my eyes.
A cluster of icicles began to gradually grow into the shape of the previous cluster.
“Will, what… is going on?”
For the first time there was horror in Sephone’s pupils.
“Don’t panic, Sephone. You’re indeed very talented. I taught you how to activate magic without chanting. Your experience proves that this method can indeed be taught to others.”
I comforted Sephone and said again, “Sephone, now you can imagine something and try using ice magic to realize it.”
“Imagine something?!”
“That’s right! Be bold and go for it, I’ll watch over you.”
“Alright.”
Sephone closed her eyes again.
I looked at her quietly, expecting a miracle.
A moment later.
A crystal blue sword hilt appeared in Sephone’s hand, and it continued to grow, gradually outlining the gauntlet and sword body.
Half a minute passed.
A complete longsword appeared in her hand.
“I didn’t expect a magic genius like you to have the heart to be a swordsman. This is really shocking.”
I looked at Sephone, who had opened her eyes in a daze. I couldn’t help but make a joke.
“Will, what’s wrong with me? This… this is an ice sword? I just followed your instructions and imagined it. It actually… really appeared?”
Sephone looked at the ice sword in her hand that reflected her face. For a moment, she was at a loss for words. Her gaze lingered on me and the ice sword, her eyes filled with disbelief.
“Congratulations! Sephone, you have learned to create simple magic. From now on, the magic power in your body will be displayed in front of you according to the shape you need.”
“Create… magic…”
I nodded, giving Serpentine time to take it in.
Rosiel, the genius Holy Archmage, had recorded all the magic she had used in her notes. She had left behind incantations that an entire generation could not study thoroughly and named it the Book of Rosiel.
After the Mages of later generations had finally studied it thoroughly and realized the magic within, they immediately treated this magic book as a holy book and used it to teach the future generations.
However, they had never considered that this Holy Archmage was not an omniscient god. She was only a human who would die of old age and illness. She only used magic power, not created magic power.
Thousands of years had passed, and all the magic on this continent came from the Book of Rosiel. The magic recorded in the book was enough to solve all the problems.
Everyone believed that the Holy Archmage was the creator of magic. This thought had long been ingrained in their minds.
As a child of the nobility, and under the tutelage of a governess, Sephone was influenced by such ideas, unlike the deviant me, who had read Julius’s Magic Notes since childhood. She needed time to accept that she, too, could create magic.
“Will! Thank you! I, Sephone Russell, swear on my life that I will not tell anyone about this method without your permission!”
Accompanied by a burst of tears of joy, I felt a soft body throw itself into my arms.
The faint scent of jasmine entered my nose, and my body instantly tensed. A feeling completely different from when Jennifer had taken me into her arms surged through me.

“Sephone, let go of me first…” Looking at the gazes of the surrounding students, I spoke carefully. “No! I’m really too happy. Will, do you know? I feel like my dream is about to come true!”
Sephone replied willfully, still clinging to me.
“Yo! A student reported to the Student Council that there was a heaven-defying freshmen on the school field who used strange magic that no one had seen before, so we came over. Hmm~ I didn’t expect to see such a scene. It’s indeed a heaven-defying magic that can make our Sister Sephone throw herself into his arms.”
A cheerful female voice with a hint of ridicule approached.
I distinctly felt Sephone stiffen in my arms. At the speed of lightning, she bounced away from me.
“Sister Angelina, Sister Elsa, why are you here…”
Sephone asked the girls with a red face.
I also turned to look at them. Two girls were walking over. One had long hair, while the other had short hair. They were dressed in the academy’s red-brown school uniform and had hot figures. They were half a head taller than me and Bethany. The only similarity was that both of them had long swords tied to their waists.
“Hey! Looks like Sephone didn’t hear your intention of coming here at all. Angelina, what should we do? Why don’t we leave first and let them continue hugging? We’ll come back when Sephone recovers.”
The short-haired girl teased mercilessly.
“Sister Elsa, you can’t do this!”
Sephone stamped her foot, lowered her head, and curled herself into an ostrich.
“Alright, alright, I won’t tease you anymore. I was just joking. Don’t be so petty.”
The short-haired Elsa walked over and hugged Sephone.
The long-haired girl named Angelina looked me up and down and gradually frowned.
“Sephone, he should be younger than you, right?”
