[Evelyn’s angle]
At this point, Liam stopped abruptly, probably because his mouth was dry. He took a sip of his coffee.
Seriously! Why did he have to stop here? It didn’t feel good to be interrupted at the most exciting part! Although this story is a little cliché, after Liam told me about it, it had aroused my interest in the future developments.
In fact, my guess was that the Crown Prince had resisted his father for the person he loved. During this period, the girl’s feelings for the Crown Prince grew deeper and deeper. The two of them used their love for each other to change the rule that vampires were forbidden to love humans. From then on,
they lived happily ever after.
After all, everyone liked a happy ending!
In fact, the story developed as I had guessed at the beginning, The Crown Prince resisted his father.
But then.
“Because the Crown Prince fell in love with the girl, he developed a weakness. He didn’t want the girl to be hurt at all.”
Liam’s slow, gentle voice seemed to be taking me into that beautiful, fantastic dream.
It was a Crown Prince who was willing to submit to a tyrant in order to protect his girl. It was also a Crown Prince who chose to resist when he realized that he couldn’t change the truth. My heart felt like it was being grabbed when I heard the scene of the girl leaving because she didn’t want to be a burden
to her lover. It was so sad that it didn’t feel right.
“He’s done so much for you. Shouldn’t you be by his side at his most difficult time?”1 thought.
In the end, the Crown Prince failed, whether it was the fight for power or the pursuit of love. He was locked in a dark cell, and his girl disappeared from his world forever.
“I don’t like this girl.” I felt tears welling up in my eyes. It was clearly their battle. How could one of them escape first?
Liam smiled gently, but I felt even worse looking at him. Was that Crown Prince the same person as Liam?
“What would you do if it were you?” I heard Liam ask me that.
After thinking for a moment, I thrust the spoon violently into the cake.
“I’d definitely be by his side. Even if I can’t help him, even if I might drag him down, Id still stay with him. If even I leave, then wouldn’t everything he did for our future become a joke?”
Theard Liam chuckle. “Everything you know right now is from the perspective of a bystander. If it were that girl, looking at a lover who’s already been so overwhelmed and exhausted, would you really not leave?”
“Would I really not leave?” I blinked and was at a loss for words for a moment. Right, without God’s perspective, in that girl’s position, could I really stay by my lover with a clear conscience?
I felt my hand, which I’d moved to the center of the table because I’d been too focused on the story, being held. The cool touch slowly calmed my agitated emotions.
“Evelyn, this is just a story.” Liam looked at me. His blue eyes were so gentle that I didn’t want to look away.
“Yes! It’s just a story! Why am I so emotional?”
I retracted my hand abruptly and felt my face burn. It was all Liam’s fault. Why did he suddenly tell me a story?
Ding, ding. A series of pleasant sounds rang out as the door was pushed open.
“Sister, are Dad and Mom in the shop?”
It was Dylan! Why was he here? Liam was still in the shop!
No! Why did it matter if Liam was in the shop? He was just a customer. Why was I feeling guilty?
After pondering, I walked over to Dylan, pretending nothing had happened.
“Mom and Dad said they had to leave for something. I’m taking care of the store today. Why are you looking for them?”
However, before I finished talking, Dylan was already standing in front of me, pulling me behind him to confront Liam.
“What’s going on? Do they know each other? Why do they look so hostile the moment they meet?” At this moment, my mind was filled with questions.
“Who are you? Who are you to Evelyn?”
After hearing Dylan’s words, I couldn’t help but laugh. This brat with a sharp tongue had always liked to keep an eye on me since I was young. He knew all of my friends. It was probably because of the sudden appearance of someone he had never seen before that made him hostile like this!
“Hi, my name is Liam Stuart. I’m Evelyn’s…” Liam paused before continuing, “Friend.”
Liam reached his hand out in a very friendly gesture, but Dylan pretended not to notice.
“Stay away from Evelyn. She doesn’t need friends or boyfriends.”
“No! I do!” I shouted in my heart and squeezed the flesh on Dylan’s back hard.
“Ouch! Sister, why did you squeeze me? It hurts.”
‘When Dylan jumped three feet high, he startled me. My hand was still squeezing him.
“Ahem.” I saw Liam pretend to cough, then turned away.
Gosh! I let him see this side of me! He was laughing at me! He was definitely laughing at me! I wasn’t that hard just now, yet Dylan acted so exaggeratedly! I must talk to Mom and Dad about sending Dylan to learn acting!
“My brother is insensible. Please don’t take it to heart.” I smiled awkwardly and glared at Dylan as I spoke.. Couldn’t he act normal in front of outsiders?
