- Chapter 13 - After I Sent the Divorce Letter, My Husband Went Mad Chapter 13
There was a stall in front of the meeting point where the names of people who would ride in each carriage were written there. Since there were only ten people who applied, two people were allowed to ride together. However, there was nothing written next to Leilia’s name.
“Why don’t I have anyone to ride with?”
Leilia asked Lucis.
“Ah, because the number of people is odd. Young Lady Eloisa will be riding the carriage with me.”
“Oh, I see.”
Typically, they would not be riding together just for that reason. And, as she expected, Lucis took all the papers he had packed the next moment. Was it not obvious whom she took this from?
‘…The reason I’m a workaholic is because of Lucis.’
Lucis, who gave her endless work, did not give her time to indulge herself in sentimentality. Perhaps, it was better.
Because the more thoughts you have, the deeper your anguish.
After a while, each of them checked their list, and people found the carriage with their designated number on it and got on it. Leilia also got on the carriage with the number one on it. Soon after, Lucis took his seat and reported to her the status of the event.
“Everyone is here. The products were presented as soon as they were prepared.”
“Give it to me, too.”
“Of course.”
He then handed her the paper bag. Leilia opened the paper bag and glanced at the items inside. In particular, the new cosmetics and accessories were very pretty.
“Since this wouldn’t be for display, I’ve cast anti-theft magic on it.”
If an item disappeared after casting anti-theft magic, it could be found through location tracking.
“Did you cast it for mine, too?”
“Of course. I couldn’t let Young Lady Leilia go home wearing something that’s going to be commercially available.”
At his words, Leilia smirked.
While looking through the items, she saw a picture with a dress on it.
“The dress was given individually. If they don’t want the dress, they could just refuse it as well.”
“Well done. Still, it’s less glamorous than the ones in my warehouse.”
“Those couldn’t be brought out.”
Lucis was right.
Leilia smiled slightly as if she was quite satisfied with the dress the association had prepared before opening her mouth again.
“I’ll change into this when I go to the hotel later.”
“That’s a good idea since it’ll be better than the clothes you have now. Still, it’s a shame. I wanted to see Young Lady Leilia go out in public wearing one of the dresses in the warehouse.”
“You dream big.”
The carriage ran towards the academy.
It took two full days to get from the capital to the academy.

Close to the academy, there was a hotel owned by the Hyllan merchants association. Upon arriving at the hotel, Leilia followed Lucis.
The lowest floor of the hotel, the first floor, was the place where cherished guests stayed. For this event, the hotel left the most expensive room vacant. As if it was natural for Lucis, he arranged the most expensive room for her. In addition, he did not forget to give the other rooms to everyone else who came, in case they might ask why Leilia was the only one who had a room for herself.
After entering the room, Leilia came out wearing a robe after her bath to relieve her tiredness.
As she dried her hair with a magic dryer, Seychelle suddenly came to mind. It was because she would dry her hair so quickly, but it seemed to take a lot longer when she dried it herself.
When she was finally done, Leilia sat on the bed before exhaling her breath as she lay flat on the bed. As she stared blankly at the ceiling for a while, she then reached out and moved her fingers a little. The smooth, moving fingers reminded her of Cassel’s hand. Tightening her fists again, Leilia got up again and ruffled her hair behind her ear.
What should she say when she sees him tomorrow…?
‘…I don’t know.’
Nothing came to her mind at all.
It did not seem like Leilia could fall asleep easily tonight.

It seemed that Leilia was not the only one who couldn’t sleep in the hotel. Lucis, who saw her looking tired in the morning, brought in a professional masseuse, saying that the female participants did not seem to look refreshed, so she received a massage. After getting the massage, her complexion seemed to have improved a little.
Looking into the mirror, she sighed. It was fortunate that Lucis responded quickly. Since it was her second meeting with Cassel, she cared about her appearance quite a little.
To wake herself up, she then drank her coffee and got her makeup done by a professional cosmetologist who worked at the hotel.
“I heard that he’s at the top of the swordsmanship class?”
“That’s right. The swordsmanship class is special, isn’t it?”
“It’s been a while since there’s been a guy.”
It has been a while since women entered the Roten Empire’s society, so many of the Academy’s top graduates were women. For a while, only women appeared, though, for the first time in a few years this year, a man became the top graduate.
