Leilia decided to start the conversation and asked a question.
“I’m going to join the escort mercenaries at the association.”
The two took a coffee and walked side by side.
“That’s surprising. I thought you’d find a way to get ahead.”
“Is that so? While attending the academy’s swordsmanship faculty, I was always told that it would be impossible to become an imperial knight due to my low status, so I gave up on it.”
Cassel replied quietly.
After listening to him, Leilia asked seriously.
“Do you want me to give you a noble title?”

“Yes?”
Cassel laughed a little at her words and then shook his head seriously.
“No. I know it’s possible for Lady Leilia, so I’m saying this even more strongly. You’ve helped me so far, though I don’t think I asked for anything more.”
After he said so, he took a sip of coffee.
She liked him even more when she saw him, who, even though knew who she was, did not try to cross the line. Leilia lowered her head. Whenever she thought of him, her face seemed a little red.
‘…Yes, that’s right.’
She did not know when she would be able to be with him like this again after today.
“Have you ever been to a bar? Dancing, drinking, and singing?”
“I haven’t been drinking.”
“Let’s go together.”
As the sun went down, the bar would open. So, right now, it was about time they would be opening the doors. At her words, Cassel ambled down the street for a moment as if lost in his thoughts.
“Is alcohol delicious?”
Leilia shook her head at his question.
“No. I just drink it when I become an adult. Cassel is an adult now, so you can drink it.”
Gazing at her, who was peering at his empty coffee cup, Cassel grinned as he saw Leilia contemplating whether she would give him the rest of her coffee.
“I’m not coveting Lady Leilia’s coffee.”
Then, he came close to her side.
“It’d be an honor to drink with you.”
In the end, he said as if he had come to a conclusion.
Drinking her coffee while listening to her pounding heart, she wished that the coffee might be able to stop her throbbing heart.

Leilia Eloisa.
The professors would complain that there were no students like Young Lady Eloisa whenever they did their assignments. So, even after graduating, her presence still remained within the academy.
And, those who went to the academy with her would tell stories about Leilia Eloisa.
It was said that she was always quiet and never got too close to anyone and that she frequently went to bars with men. Furthermore, it was often mentioned that they did not know where she got her money from and how she could go to bars even though her parents did not support her at home.
Because of that, rumors were circulating that the men she went out with were men who had Leilia as their mistress.
In particular, Juron would spread the word that there were many men with Leilia as their mistress.
‘Juron wasn’t the only one who said this.’
Other men would come forward and say things like this as well. As a result, there was a strong perception that she was the mistress of a well-educated and wealthy man. As he pondered so, Cassel turned to Lucis and Raylia, who were talking in the wagon.
‘Lady Leilia is a person full of wealth.’
There was no way someone like this could be someone’s mistress.
Cassel was lost in thought. Why did Leilia want to take him to the bar? Just like those men, did she take him there because she likes him…?
“Are you going to that bar?”
“That’s the best place.”
Leilia and Lucis seemed to know where they were heading.
“Cassel doesn’t know where it is, do you?”
At her question, Cassel nodded his head, and Leilia continued.
“It’s a place that many students who have reached adulthood go to. The drinks there are good, and the snacks are clean. There’s also a space where you can dance, and there is music as well.”
Hearing her words, he recalled the story he had heard at the academy. It was said that there was such a place among bars where aristocratic families or wealthy children would go.
“The alcohol must be expensive.”
As he asked that, Cassel was perplexed.
“Oh, a little bit.”
She smiled softly as she added.
“Since I’m going with Cassel, I can’t go to a shabby place.”
Finishing her words, Leilia chuckled. Contrary to his first impression of her, which was cold and sharp, she looked soft and sweet.
…What would it taste like when he kissed those lips?
He licked his lips thinking that.
‘I wanted to be by her side.’
Greed erupted from his heart, which had been claiming that he had only wanted just to be close to her.
‘A paramour is fine.’
He wished he could go out with someone like her. Thinking so, he took a moment to catch his breath before turning his gaze to look out the window. Cassel clenched her fists, resisting the desire to hold Leilia in his arms.
When their eyes met, greed kept rising and it was difficult to press it down.
It seemed that his mind was constantly changing for the worse.
