Chapter 33 Don’t Let Anyone Touch Her Things
Fu Beiting’s brow furrowed slightly. He stood up and turned around.
Su Xinyue held a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and stood behind him in a bright red dress, looking at him tenderly.
For some reason, every time Su Xinyue came to the cemetery, she would always wear a bright red dress and dress up exceptionally beautifully. She did not look like she was here to pay her respects at all. Instead, she looked like she was here to celebrate.
However, Su Xinyue had explained that before Qin Xiangwan got married, they were best friends, and the two of them often wore the same red dress when they went shopping together.
Hearing her explanation, Fu Beiting did not overthink it too much. His attention was not on Su Xinyue at all.
“What are you doing here?” Fu Beiting glanced at her.
Su Xinyue bent down and placed the bouquet of white chrysanthemums on Qin Xiangwan’s grave. “I heard from Uncle Qin that you’re busy and can’t come to the airport to pick me up. Then I remembered that today is Xiangwan’s death anniversary and decided to come visit her before going back. I didn’t expect you to be here too.”
With that, she lifted her head and looked at Qin Xiangwan’s photo on the tombstone.
“Xiangwan, I’m here to see you again. For the past five years, not a day goes by that I’m not living in guilt. If I hadn’t gone to the washroom, nothing would have happened to you. I miss you so much…”
Fu Beiting stood beside her and listened to Su Xinyue’s sobs in silence.
The woman’s sobs echoed throughout the cool cemetery.
Su Xinyue wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and looked up. “Xiangwan, I have a piece of news to tell you. I’m getting married to Beiting next month. Please give us your blessings in heaven. I’ll take care of Beiting on your behalf-” Before Fu Beiting could stop her, the words had already left her mouth. He said coldly, “Why are you saying this?” Su Xinyue stood up in fear, as if she had made a mistake. “Beiting, I just wanted Xiangwan to be at ease. You’ve been alone for the past five years. If she knew about this, she would definitely be worried about you. Since you love her so much-“
“I don’t love Qin Xiangwan!” Fu Beiting interrupted her abruptly and turned around. “Go home.”
With that, he strode out of the cemetery.
Seeing that he did not even spare her a glance, Su Xinyue’s expression stiffened and resentment flashed across her eyes.
Today, she had specially raced home and dressed up for more than an hour. She wore a low-cut dress to the cemetery just to show her most beautiful side to Fu Beiting, but he didn’t even look at her.
Su Xinyue turned around and looked at Qin Xiangwan’s tombstone resentfully.
What matching dress? It was all nonsense she made up. Her goal was simply to wear a red dress to curse the dead Qin Xiangwan.
“Qin Xiangwan, I heard that wearing red clothes to pay respect to the deceased would make them unable to rest in peace. You’ve been dead for five years already and I’ve come to curse you every year on your death anniversary. Why are you still haunting Beiting’s heart?”
“To tell you the truth, I am about to replace you and marry Fu Beiting. Are you surprised? He’s mine now. After we get married, I’m going to burn all the things you left behind.”
After saying that, Su Xinyue kicked the tombstone hard to vent her anger before turning around to chase after Fu Beiting, who turning around to chase after Fu Beiting, who had already walked far away.
Even now, the Fu family still held onto Qin Xiangwan’s belongings. Initially, she planned to secretly bribe the servants to throw them away. However, none of the servants dared to do so. They said that President Fu did not allow anyone to touch them. When his stepmother, Wang Yingying, wanted the jewelry that Qin Xiangwan left behind, President Fu was furious and immediately asked the bodyguards to send Wang Yingying abroad before she could even finish her sentence.
