Chapter 19: Feng Qingcheng’s Death

Feng Qingling stabbed the dagger forcefully into the right corner of Feng Qingcheng’s lips, then purposely slowed down. She took her time slicing across to Qingcheng’s right ear.
Then, she stabbed Qingcheng with the dagger one more time and dragged it down from the corner of her right eye before finally stopping.
Even the five men couldn’t help but turn their faces away at this scene. They couldn’t bear to watch…
Feng Qingcheng’s right cheek was cut very severely and kept bleeding profusely, as the wound was deep. But since the men were holding her down, she was unable to move, and she didn’t have the strength to do so, either. Her entire body became limp…
Feng Qingyan watched on and seemed to feel that this was enough. He got up and said to Feng Qingling, “If you’re done playing with her, then that’s the end of things! It’s a waste of time to be here with her. You might as well take this time to accompany the prince. You guys know how to deal with this.” He glanced at the men holding Feng Qingcheng down before walking away.
Since Feng Qingyan had stated it the way he had, Feng Qingling didn’t delay any further. She told the men directly, “All of you, listen up! Nobody is to leak the tiniest bit of information about what happened today. Otherwise, all of you know what consequences will await you!” She glanced coldly at all five of them.
Then she spoke again, saying, “Make a slit on her right wrist and let her experience what it’s like to slowly wait to die, but to be helpless about the situation! Once she’s dead, find a secluded place to bury her, and make sure it won’t be discovered by anybody.” A vicious look appeared in her eyes again.
“Even if someone discovers that she’s gone missing, they will just think that she couldn’t take the blow of having her engagement to the prince annulled and that she couldn’t take the others mocking her for having this demon-like face. Ha! Feng Qingcheng! I bet you never imagined your life would end like this, right? Enjoy the feeling of dying, alright?” Feng Qingling looked mockingly at Feng Qingcheng one last time, then walked away.
Feng Qingcheng was tied onto a wooden pole. There was a large gash on her right wrist, and fresh blood flowed out of it.
She hung her head limply and looked down at the blood pooling on the ground. It went from a few drops to a tiny circle, then from a tiny circle to a puddle. Her head started to feel dizzy and heavy.
Suddenly! She used every last bit of strength in her to roar, “AHHH! Feng Qingling! Feng Qiming! Feng Qingyan! Li Xuerou! If I, Feng Qingcheng, am reborn, I’m going to slice all of you to pieces, slowly, for everything you owe me! I’m going to make sure all of you go to hell and never reincarnate!! AHH!!!”
Slowly… slowly… she felt her eyelids grow heavy… they were so heavy…
She murmured to herself, “Grandpa… Father… Mother… Elder Brother, Qingcheng is coming to look for you…”
…
“Hmm? When did I fall asleep?” Qingcheng slowly opened her eyes and suddenly felt something. She touched the corner of her eyes to find that they were slightly warm and wet.
“Was that dream earlier what happened to the owner of this body, Feng Qingcheng? So, there’s actually a wicked family like that in this world! Hoho, Feng Qingling, was it?”
Her loathing of Feng Qiming and his family was at its height. “Feng Qingcheng, I’ll definitely avenge you! He’s not going to get away with doing this to your family! I’ll make them pay with their own lives!” A cold gleam flashed in her eyes.
After she calmed back down, she checked the time inside the interspace. The sun outside had already risen, and she could leave after getting ready. The battle against the Magical Beasts hadn’t started yet, but she was already raring to go and couldn’t wait to fight a good battle!
Back outside the interspace.
The sun had just risen, and all the Magical Beasts that had gotten the notice the day before had all gathered early at the empty space outside the cave.
When Qingcheng walked out of the cave, this is what she saw…
There were many, many Magical Beasts in the empty space outside the cave… Indeed, there really were a lot of them. She took a quick glance, and there were at least three to five hundred of them, and they were all between Levels Three and Five.
Tealwood saw that Qingcheng had come out from the cave, so he quickly ran over, happy to see her. “Master, is this enough? If it’s not enough, I can call more over.”
Qingcheng clutched her forehead. “So… this was the few Magical Beasts that you told me about yesterday?”
She had already done a quick calculation. Given her current cultivation level and one entire day of strength, there was clearly no way she could go up against five hundred of them.
Tealwood was a little embarrassed as well. “Hur hur, well… it’s true that there is a bit too many of them; I didn’t know they would be so eager. I’ll get some of them to go back.”
He turned around and unleashed his aura, making all the Magical Beasts that couldn’t stop staring at Qingcheng instantly become nervous.
Yesterday, all of them had heard Xiaojiu say, “The king wants to see a few Magical Beasts ranging from Level Three to Level Five.”
So today, they had all rushed over as quickly as possible, and they had no idea why the king wanted to see them either. After they arrived, they saw this human woman, who was so beautiful that they nearly stopped breathing. There was something about her that made them feel the urge to draw closer to her.
Tealwood glanced at all of them, and his cold and authoritative voice rang out, “Still looking at her?!” He unleashed his Sacred Beast authoritative pressure, and all the Magical Beasts were instantly terrified.
Then he spoke again, “This lady here is my master, so all of you must call her Your Excellency from now on! Understand?”
All the Magical Beasts were shocked. Master? This young human lady was actually bonded to the king? How powerful was she, then? That was terrifying…
There were three types of bonds that humans and Magical Beasts could have:
The first one was an Honorary Bond, where the human defeats the Magical Beast. While the Magical Beast is injured, the human uses their energy to overcome the wounded and weak-willed Magical Beast to honor this bond forcibly. The Magical Beast would have the same cultivation level as the bonder, and the Magical Beast would call the human its master.
The second one was an Equal Bond, where the bonder and the Magical Beast were of equal standing. Their current cultivation levels would not affect each other at all, and the Magical Beast could call the bond off anytime it wished. Since they were on equal ground, the Magical Beast would not call the human its master.
The third one was a Master-Servant Bond, or a Blood Bond, and this was when the Magical Beast voluntarily wanted to establish a bond with a human. If the master died, the Magical Beast would also die. If the Magical Beast died first, the master would only go down in level. The Magical Beast could not betray the master; otherwise, the master could kill it anytime. If the master established a bond with a powerful Magical Beast, the master would receive a reward after the bond was established. In this instance, the Magical Beast would call the human its master.
Most of the bonds on this continent were Honorary Bonds. Magical Beasts were proud beings and were generally unwilling to become a beast for a human to use in battle.
So, to the rest of the Magical Beasts, their powerful king couldn’t have gone for a Master-Servant Bond. The other party must have been so powerful that she managed to defeat the king and establish an Honorary Bond with him.
If Qingcheng knew what they were thinking about, she would probably have told them immediately, “You’ve read too much into it.”
After a pause, Tealwood continued speaking, saying, “I’ve called all of you over to go into battle with Her Excellency.”
All the Magical Beasts were horrified. What? Battle with Her Excellency? Wasn’t that as good as sending them to die?
The minds of these Magical Beasts had already placed Qingcheng’s cultivation level at Tealwood’s level.
Qingcheng was a little speechless when she saw how frightened the Magical Beasts looked. Was battling her really such a terrifying thing? She wasn’t at a very high level, anyway. (Oh my god! You’re only twelve! Twelve! And you’re already a Level Four Spirit Mentor Seventh Tier! Most ordinary cultivators would have been past thirty by the time they reached this stage! Or even forty! Or fifty! Even if you had a good gifting, you’d be past twenty! And you’re not a very high level?!)
Qingcheng looked at the situation and had to speak up. “You just need to practice sparring with me. I’ll need twenty of each attribute, Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth, to stay, while the rest can leave for now. I’ll go through a different attribute each day, just twenty of you in one day, and I’ll be done in five days.”
