Chapter 25: Meeting Dongfang Moyu for the First Time

After the people at the back came to the front, they started to look Qingcheng and Tealwood up and down.
Tealwood was more handsome than average and looked like he was in his early twenties, but the aura that emanated from him made them feel like he was more complicated than he seemed.
When they looked at Qingcheng, all the men immediately brightened up. She had a natural aura about her that made it impossible for anyone to miss or overlook her existence. Even though she covered her face with a mask, she exuded a mysterious sort of beauty.
When the young lady saw Tealwood, her little face blushed a little as she thought to herself, “What an incredibly handsome man!”
But when she saw Qingcheng, her eyes carried a tinge of jealousy!
Then, she noticed the animal in Qingcheng’s arms, and her expression immediately became frosty as she shrieked in her shrill voice, “Who are you? Why did you snatch my little fox from me? Return it to me now! Otherwise, don’t blame us for getting nasty!”
Qingcheng raised her eyes to look carefully at this young lady before her. She was in a pink dress and had fairly good-looking features. But from her behavior, it was clear that this girl was one of those unreasonable daughters of a wealthy family. And, with the addition of that twisted expression on her face, she was really just as Moondevil had described her. Indeed, she was very ugly…
Qingcheng asked, “What has my identity got to do with you? You said… I snatched your little fox from you? I don’t know anything about that. My little Moondevil went out for a walk and came back, so when did it become yours? Huh?” She unleashed her aura and made everyone unconsciously shudder.
The moment Qingcheng started speaking, the first feeling everyone got was that her voice was very pleasant, but they also felt an invisible pressure weighing on them from the way she spoke.
The two middle-aged men were the first to snap out of this state.
The older one said to the man in white next to him in a low voice, “My Lord, this woman doesn’t have any signs of being a cultivator, but it’s too difficult to say anything about that man. Even though I’m at Spirit Master Seventh Tier, I’m still unable to ascertain his level of cultivation. Since these two can walk so easily through the inner section of the Magical Beast Forest, they are definitely not ordinary!”
The man in white looked at the two men next to him and his gaze deepened as it carried many questions. But before he could say anything, another young man smiled as he took a step forward.
He pulled the young lady in pink to stand behind him, then clasped his hands towards Qingcheng politely as he looked slightly apologetically at her. “Miss, please don’t be angry. I hope you can forgive my younger sister for offending you unintentionally. We didn’t know that the little fox already had an owner, so I hope you won’t hold this against us.” He spoke with much elegance and was humble in attitude.
This man was in a blue embroidered robe, clean-shaven and fairly handsome looking, but there was a sparkle in how he looked at Qingcheng.
After he said this, his younger sister jumped out from behind him. “Elder Brother! We’re the son and daughter of the Emperor’s advisor! Why should we have to apologize to her? Who does she think she is? How dare she say that the little fox is hers? It took us so much effort to finally injure it! We were almost about to capture it ourselves, so why should we give it to her?!” She glared indignantly at Qingcheng then focused her gaze on Moondevil hiding in her arms.
“Now you know who we are, right? So, I’d advise you to be good and hand that little fox over to me! We are not people whom lowly commoners like you can afford to offend!” She spoke in an extremely arrogant manner.
It would have been better if she hadn’t said anything. After she said this, Qingcheng got really angry. When she thought about how this group had injured Moondevil’s leg and how this girl spoke so unreasonably and nastily, she decided not to be polite anymore.
She lifted her hand and flicked her wrist towards the girl. A gigantic ball of fire suddenly came flying out.
The girl had a look of terror but wasn’t quick enough to react, while her older brother hadn’t even expected Qingcheng to suddenly attack and tried to stop the ball of fire. But the girl still ended up getting hit, and even her hair had been burnt. Everyone looked at Qingcheng in disbelief. She looked like she wasn’t a cultivator at all, but just a simple flick of her wrist had created such a large ball of fire! She wasn’t low in cultivation level at all!
Bodyguards soon emerged from behind the group.
Qingcheng held onto Moondevil and said calmly, “Tealwood, teach them a lesson. Not too hard.”
Tealwood stepped forward and prepared to attack.
The man in white quickly called out after her, “Wait a minute!” The man gave a warning glance to the two siblings as he stepped out.
Then, he turned and looked at Qingcheng. “Miss, Qianqian was a little rash earlier. I hope you can let her off! I will be very grateful if you do so!” This man was in a white embroidered robe with gold silk trimmings and black boots with gold floral embroidery, and his black hair was tied high with a platinum and white jade hair crown. He had bright eyes and well-defined brows, a high nose bridge, and his thin lips were slightly pursed. His skin was fair and smooth, and he stood at around five feet eight inches tall or so. He did look like a fairly handsome and respectable gentleman.
Qingcheng looked carefully at this man. For some reason, this face looked somewhat familiar. Where had she seen this person before?
But she didn’t dwell too much on it and asked him casually, “Then tell me, how should we settle this issue of her injuring my Magical Pet?”
Since Qingcheng didn’t look like she was going to attack anymore, he breathed a small sigh of relief and replied to her, “Miss, I am Prince Yu of Weiyang Nation, Dongfang Moyu. This is a misunderstanding since we didn’t know that this little fox was actually your Magical Pet. We are willing to compensate you for this loss. What do you think?” His attitude was sincere.
Qingcheng figured it out after she heard him introduce himself. No wonder she found him familiar. So, this man was the Crown Prince’s younger brother. She didn’t know him at all, but the original owner of this body had seen this man before, and her impression of him was alright. But, in any case, she didn’t want to have any further entanglement with the royal family.
So, she quietly left him with one sentence, saying, “That’s not necessary.” Then she said to Tealwood, “Let’s go.” She turned and left after that.
There was a small mountain of gold coins, crystals, pills, high-grade weapons, and more inside her interspace, so would she need any monetary compensation? Of course not!
Dongfang Moyu hadn’t expected Qingcheng to just walk away like that. His eyes were a little unfocused, and he looked a bit puzzled. Why did he feel like he had seen those eyes before?
The young lady he referred to earlier as Qianqian was Ouyang Qianqian. She could only look on indignantly as Qingcheng walked away.
Her elder brother was named Ouyang Hongming. He watched her disappear into the distance with a tinge of resentment in his eyes.
Dongfang Moyu turned to look at the two siblings. “Alright now, we’ve been out for quite a while, and it’s time to go back.” Then he started walking, and the two middle-aged men next to him followed after.
The two siblings had to let this go. They were the children of the Emperor’s advisor, and they had never been this embarrassed before.
Ouyang Qianqian thought about how she had embarrassed herself in front of Prince Yu, who she liked so much, and started feeling hateful towards Qingcheng. “This lowly commoner! It’s all your fault! If I run into you again, I’ll make sure to teach you a lesson!” she thought to herself as she gritted her teeth.
Ouyang Hongming didn’t say anything and just ran after Prince Yu after dusting himself off, while Ouyang Qianqian stomped her feet before catching up with them.
On the other side, Qingcheng carried Moondevil to a small stream. They didn’t follow her there, so that was less trouble for her. Otherwise, she didn’t mind exchanging a few blows with them.
Fifteen minutes later…
Tealwood came back with two mountain rabbits and an azurite chicken in his hands, and he cleaned them by the stream. Qingcheng took out all the condiments she had picked today, including some wild pepper, cumin, Szechuan peppers, fennel, and a block of salt.
Then she took out her pill refining furnace from her interspace.
Er… yes. She was seriously going to use her pill refining furnace.
