Chapter 41: New Technique
Elder Yan looked at Qingcheng, and he was already so excited that he couldn’t get a single word out. No matter if this treatment was successful or not, he was already grateful to her. After all, they had no relation to each other and happened to meet in the first place. Everything he felt inside finally came out in two words, “Thank you.”
Tealwood carried Yan Xuan over as well. After being paralyzed in bed for the past two years, his muscles had started to shrink, and he was extremely skinny now.
He looked seriously at Qingcheng and said, “Thank you!”
After Tealwood carried Yan Xuan into his room, Elder Yan entered the other one. The two of them then started their extremely long and painful process of rebirth.
Tealwood stepped out of the room, and Qingcheng set up two soundproofing formations around each one. Once she was done, she brought Tealwood into the interspace.
“Tealwood, you can stay here and cultivate. I’ll go take a look at Moondevil.” She wondered how its battle prowess was doing now.
Tealwood happily replied, “Sure.” Then he ran over to start cultivating next to the Sacred Spirit Spring.
Qingcheng soon appeared within the Magical Beast Forest inside her interspace. Moondevil was currently dueling with Xiaojiu.
When she appeared, she saw Xiaojiu flying out after being struck by an attack from Moondevil.
BAM! There was a loud blast.
Xiaojiu was smashed heartlessly against the ground by Moondevil, who had gone back to its original size. This caused a fairly large crater in the ground…
Xiaojiu started howling in its heart, “Master is a crazy cultivation genius, and even her bonded beast is as crazy as her… how am I supposed to survive here…? Boohoo…”
After Moondevil won the fight, it immediately started wagging its butt smugly, so those six large, overly flashy fox tails began swinging from side to side as well.
“Haha! Look! Just look! The almighty Moondevil is really good, right? Amazing, right? Don’t you dare look down on me! I’m a Godly Beast, you hear me? A Godly Beast!” It was behaving so smugly that all the Windblast Wolves couldn’t stand looking at it.
This was the scene that Qingcheng had walked into, and she was completely speechless. Was this… Moondevil? Had her playful Master’s spirit possessed this fellow or something?
When the Windblast Wolves saw that Qingcheng had come, they all kept quiet and didn’t make a single sound. Only Moondevil was still smugly shaking its butt. It wasn’t aware that its beloved master had already come into the forest and was speechlessly watching it shake about.
“Moondevil… how is your battle prowess going…?” a ghostly voice quietly wafted from behind it…
Moondevil shuddered. Oh goodness! Crap! When did its Master arrive?!
It slowly turned around and saw Qingcheng looking at it quietly with her arms crossed in front of her chest.
Moondevil quickly ran over and put on an ingratiating smile. “Master, why are you here…? I just won a duel!”
“Yup, I saw that,” Qingcheng replied.
“Master, you don’t love me anymore… you abandoned me for so long before coming to look for me, and now that I’ve won a duel, you didn’t compliment me… I’m so sad… boohoo…” Moondevil said.
“Your acting is too fake. If you want to cry, at least squeeze the tears out first. One day in this place is only two hours outside. So, I’ve only not seen you for two hours.” Qingcheng’s calm voice made Moondevil feel like puking blood…
“HAHAHA!” Xiaojiu and the rest immediately burst out laughing without holding back. Moondevil was such a huge show off in front of them, but it was so pathetic in front of their master.
Moondevil was so embarrassed and annoyed. With a shake, it went back to being its palm-sized self and lifted its head to use its large, black, grape-looking eyes to gaze sadly at Qingcheng.
“Master, you don’t love me anymore, and they’re laughing at me!” It made itself look as pitiful as possible. Qingcheng looked back at it and didn’t pay any attention to its antics.
“Alright now. You need to practice more. Don’t only duel Xiaojiu and the wolves; go look for other animals that are at a higher level as well.” She tried to go hard on Moondevil because that was the best way to help it grow stronger.
Then she said to the Windblast Wolves, “All of you are doing well. I just came to take a look. Everything looks fine, so continue with your cultivation.”
All the Windblast Wolves were overjoyed at being complemented by their master. “Thank you, Master, for the compliment! We will continue to work hard!”
She glanced back at Moondevil. “Alright now, continue with the battle practice. I’ll come back again.” After saying that, Qingcheng left.
After Moondevil sadly watched Qingcheng leave the forest, it turned around and scoffed coldly at the Windblast Wolves. “TSK! Don’t think that you’re all very great just because Master has complimented you! We’re going to continue! There are another ten who haven’t fought me yet! HA!” With a shake of its body, Moondevil went back to its original size.
The other Windblast Wolves started howling in their hearts. Moondevil’s mood changed way too quickly! Their master had just left, and Moondevil was mean again.
They sadly started to prepare themselves to take turns getting beaten again. There was nothing they could do about it either since Moondevil was not just bonded to the master but also a Godly Beast at the same time.
After Qingcheng left the forest, she went into the cultivation room and summoned the Godly level technique, Phoenix Stuns the Nine Cloud. This was both a cultivation method as well as a skill. It was actually specifically for someone with a body that carried all five attributes like herself. The different attributes could be combined together and multiply the power of the attack many times!
If an attack with only one attribute caused ten points of damage, then putting two attributes together could reach a damage score of thirty or even forty. The damage delivered increased with each additional attribute, so even if she had to fight someone at a higher cultivation level than herself, it wasn’t a problem.
If someone who just had more than one attribute tried to use this particular technique, his body would not be able to withstand the huge amount of Spirit Qi that would flow out as a result. But those people who had bodies with all five attributes were known as Heaven Spirit Bodies.
Such people could turn the elements around them into their own Spirit Qi attack so that it wouldn’t have any effect on the Spirit Qi within their body. For other people, putting different attributes together would cause some sort of clash, but Heaven Spirit Bodies wouldn’t. Such bodies naturally attracted all elements.
The technique here was that the elements would mimic a Spirit Qi attack. It wasn’t just an attack like an ordinary ball or pillar of light, and the strength in the attack was even more powerful.
The higher one’s cultivation level was, the more powerful one’s attack would be. The control of the surrounding elements would be faster, and the elements would merge together and deliver an attack faster as well. One could also just use the amount of Spirit Qi in the body, but one couldn’t use that indefinitely. Otherwise, the amount of Spirit Qi inside the body would be dispelled too quickly and dry up.
Such a situation usually only arose if she was facing a strong opponent who was at Kingly Spiritualist level and above. As long as the opponent didn’t use a Spatial Lock, she could have control over all the elements around her.
If she reached Kingly Spiritualist level and above, then she could also undo any locks set by her opponents as long as they were at a lower level than herself.
Qingcheng started trying to meld her Spirit Qi together. She tried to put her Earth element and Water element together, but things didn’t go very smoothly. Every time they were about to fuse together, it would…
BAM! And then it would fail…
BAM! It failed again…
Five days in the cultivation room went by…
…BOOOOOM…
One section of the floor inside the cultivation room was a mess. Thankfully, this room was made from some amazing material that continued to stand even after taking such a powerful hit. The walls weren’t damaged and were just a little dirty. Qingcheng simply had to think about cleaning them, and the whole place was clean again.
“Phew! Finally managed to make two elements fuse together. After five days, I’ve only managed to get Earth and Water together… that’s too slow, I have to go faster…” Qingcheng was not satisfied with her fusion of the elements, so she continued to work hard at practicing them.
