Chapter 40: It’s Worth it Whether she Loses Money or Not
Wan Li fell to the group and subconsciously raised her head and looked over at Ye Fei. After seeing that Ye Fei was watching from afar and laughing, she got off the ground and continued, “Bad mood means you should drink a few shots. There is a saying that alcohol solves thousands of worries. Plus, the night is short. If you have anything that’s making you sad, you can talk to me about them…”
Watching Wan Li cling onto him again, Ye Fei continued to giggle and shook her head. Being clinging never made money. There are all kinds of women who come to Heaven on Earth. Why would anyone pay attention to a clingy girl who sells alcohol?
Just as she thought, the man kicked the table and pushed Wan Li away again, “I said go away! Who do you think you are! If you continue to latch onto me like this, believe me, I will kill you!”
Wan Li finally couldn’t hang on anymore. Even though she’s seen this happen a lot normally, because Ye Fei was right there, she had no face to continue standing there.
Standing up, Wan Li got ready to leave. But Ye Fei walked towards to her with a mischievous smile and went up to the men Wan Li was with.
Wan Li had a cold smile on her lips. She got up and watched the show, thinking that Ye Fei will soon get the same treatment.
The other ladies selling drinks also gathered over. They checked out Wan Li from head to toe, “Wan Li, are you okay?”
“Just watch the show!”
At once, all the women began to watch what Ye Fei was going to do. They all wanted her to bump uglies in order to diminish some of her arrogance. After Ye Fei noticed all the stares, a sarcastic smiled appeared on her face.
Ye Fei walked up twirling her hips, ignoring the annoyed look in the man’s eyes. The man frowned again and almost lashed out at her.
Ye Fei didn’t speak. Instead, she picked out one of the best bottles she had, placed it before the man and then turned to leave.
“What is this!”
Ye Fei smiled seductively, “A gift~”
The man was a little stunned and his voice softened. “That small paycheque of yours is enough to afford to gift a bottle of Hennessy?”
“Hennessy is expensive but how expensive can it get? I overheard that you are in no mood today. If a bottle of Hennessy can lift your mood, then it is worth it even if I lose money,” Ye Fei answered mindlessly.
Her casual tone made him check her out again. He was intrigued and asked again, “Doesn’t your heart hurt?”
“It sure does. But since you are in a bad mood today, it is okay if I feel a little pain. I just hope the next time when I am sad, you can make me smile.”
The man raised an eyebrow, finding this small thing before him interesting. For her to ask him to cheer her up next time she is sad… though her words were somewhat fake, and somewhat presumptuous, he strangely wasn’t annoyed.
Seeing that he was no longer speaking, Ye Fei turned her head to leave, truly not at all trying to stay. The man watched her tiny waist and couldn’t help but call out, “Come back!”
Ye Fei turned her head around and said angrily, “Boss, if I gift you another bottle I will need to go sell blood~”
The man chuckled, revealing his first smile of the night. “Alright, stop joking around. Go fetch me a bottle of Glenfiddich 1937.”
Hearing this, Ye Fei grinned, “Boss, you sure do with things that leave everyone happy~”
Glenfiddich 1937 is one of the rarest whiskey in the world. Normally, getting a bottle of that would require the manager to fetch it from the cellar at the back. Compared to the standard Martell or Remy Martin, it is much more expensive.
Wan Li, who was standing on the side, felt her face turning green, then purple, then back to green. Her expression was so ugly it was as if she had just eaten sh!t.
