Chapter 59: Milky White Nightgown
After the meal, Ye Fei’s empty stomach was stuffed, and she finally felt satisfied. Rubbing her round belly, she turned around to look at the hard-working Su Mo Han.
He was focused and his lips were tightly closed together. His perfect side profile was like he was sculpted by a blade; his expression was relaxed but still showed that nobody should act irrationally before him. Ye Fei sat in her chair and lost track of time as she stared at him. She couldn’t help but think that a man like this could drive any woman insane.
Shrugging away these thoughts, she went to wash her hands and blew dry her hair. Looking at the two silk nightgowns the maid brought, she lost herself a little.
Reality is that… that man… isn’t all bad…
She changed into a milky white nightgown. The gown had a V neck and the bottom of the skirt had iris flowers sewn onto it. It was simple yet pretty, Ye Fei loved it so much she didn’t want to let it go.
It’s been so long since she’s wore anything this nice. Of course, she didn’t get to wear this for the six years she was in jail. Even for the days after jail, all her sleepwear has been bought from street vendors for a couple of dollars.
Ye Fei smiled at her reflection in the mirror. It’s okay, everything will get better!
Su Mo Han looked at the time and then glanced over to the closed bathroom door. Where is that woman? Why is she taking so long!
Finally, just as he was getting ready to go check up on her, Ye Fei came out wearing the milky white nightgown. She walked crisply and she was humming a song. It seems like her mood was good.
Su Mo Han leaned back into the couch again, pretending he never got up in the first place. Seeing that he was ignoring her, Ye Fei dashed to his side and stuck out her head to look at the documents in his hands.
The black writing on the white papers was clear. Sadly, for someone who has never graduated from university, other than knowing how to read the characters on the paper, she couldn’t understand what the paper was saying at all. Ye Fei suddenly remembered how her step-mother Jiang Hui Ru had always objected against her learning management or business materials under the flag that she didn’t want her to be tired.
Thinking back now, she had two daughters. One was receiving high-end education from her grandfather abroad while the other who stayed at the Ye family still learned several different languages, instruments, and arts. Thinking about this made her realize she was the only idiot who didn’t know anything.
Pondering more about this, if Ye Ya goes through a similar experience as her, she wouldn’t have to go as low as selling drinks at the club. At the very least, she can apply what she knows to keep herself alive.
Softly sighing, Ye Fei hugged Su Mo Han’s arm tighter. She must deadly tie herself around this man. Or else she truly doesn’t know what she can do next.
Su Mo Han, who was signing the paper, felt a strong force pressuring his arm. Next, a soft scent entered his nostrils. He softly glanced over and saw the large area of bare flesh right above the woman’s chest. This dimmed his gaze.
Ye Fei leaned onto his arm and stared at the documents. Occasionally, she would raise her head to look ta him and then read over the documents again with him.
After 10 minutes, Ye Fei started to feel bored. Those densely packed words were dry and boring, no wonder it takes Su Mo Han so much concentration to read them. But how come he is spending so much time on this one page? Why isn’t he flipping it over…
Ye Fei lifted her head off of Su Mo Han’s arm and sat back into the couch. She began to play with her fingers, planning on getting a manicure sometime. She was never cheap when it comes to things that can attract Su Mo Han’s attention. But, she wondered, just what color does Su Mo Han like?
