Another World Net Shop Master - Chapter 34
Chapter 34: First Day Food Stall Report
Just as we were about to go home, Harry looked at me.
“Harry, what’s wrong?”
“That. We sold a little shaved ice at first, but since we were helping other people with their stalls, we have not sold much at all today.”
“Ah….”
Today’s sales were 48 copper coins for 16 bowls of shaved ice.
I also paid Edel one copper coin for two lemons for Coke, and paid the old lady one silver coin for the children’s vegetables.
I learned a lot about business, but this alone is deficit.
There is also the cost of ice, even though it was bought from the Net store, as well as the cost of cups and other supplies.
Considering the cost of miso paste and mayonnaise for the dip, the business is in the red.
Adding labor costs to that, it’s not a business at all.
The vegetable sticks and cut fruits sold well, which was fun, but I need to do something about the shaved ice stall.
We both headed to the commercial guild to report on our first day, while reflecting on today’s events.
“Thank you for the tea.”
We are in a special room in a commercial guild.
In front of me is Milia from the Commercial Guild, who is now in charge of Ginjiro.
The girl who brewed the tea was the receptionist, whom I met the other day.
Since she stood there looking at me and won’t be able to leave for a while, I give her some Kansai Madam’s baumkchen as a tea snack.
She was expressionless until a moment ago, but smiled when she received the baumkuchen.
I don’t know much about commercial guilds, but maybe that’s how their systems work?
“Thank you for coming all the way here today. I was unable to come due to some business, but I will be able to help you tomorrow.”
Milia bows deeply and beautifully.
Hmmm, somewhat awkward.
Harry, sitting next to me, looks happy to see Milia, though.
The receptionist, who had just left, cut a baumkuchen and brought it to us.
Huh? There’s something stuck in this girl’s mouth. ……
“If you don’t mind, would you like to eat it with us?”
When I call out to her, she grins.
There’s something a little scary about this girl.
While feeling that, I reach out for tea and Baumkuchen.
The black tea is fragrant and delicious, and the baumkuchen is moist.
While thinking that this girl is good at brewing black tea, I look at Miria-san.
Milia-san was smiling, but she was waiting for me to start talking.
“Today was our first time to set up a food stall, and we learned a lot. I had a lot of fun and made some stall mates. If Milia-san and the others are coming tomorrow, I’ll pick you up in front of the commercial guild around the time the first bell rings.”
Ginjiro’s tiny pride prevented him from honestly saying that he was in the red.
“Thank you very much, I want to know how Ginjiro-san does business, and I’m looking forward to it since it’s been so long since I’ve been on site.”
Milia-san is an elite of the commercial guild.
The fact that this person would come in person and look at the stalls meant that she would measure our capabilities tomorrow.
I think the shaved ice will sell, but Ginjiro was getting worried.
“Ginjiro-san, this thing called baumkuchen is very wonderful. As well as the Konpeito the other day, are you thinking of selling this as well?”
“I would consider it if someone personally asked me to sell it, but as a business, I’m not considering it at the moment.”
When I told Milia honestly, she didn’t say anything more about it.
Ginjiro, who wants to build a good relationship with her since she is in charge of him, makes a suggestion.
“If you like, Milia-san, you can use this tea and cookies for your business meeting.”
I put a can of tea leaves, a sugar stick, and a cookie for tea on the table.
She was hesitant, but I forced her to accept them, and she brewed us a second cup of tea with it.
Sugar is expensive, so she asked me if it was okay to use so much, and I told her it was fine.
“I have been wondering since earlier, what is that, Harry-san?”
I told her that people with bad eyesight would be able to see better if they wore them, but if they had good eyesight, wearing wearing glasses would do the opposite, it would make them unable to see.
“Harry-san has become cool, so I’ve been wondering about it.”
I wanted to ask her whether she was interested in the glasses or in Harry who had become cooler, but I think it was probably the glasses, so I decided not to.
“Please let me know when you run out of tea. I’ll have some ready for you right away.”
With this message, we left the commercial guild.
After that, we went to Elvis’s store and received aprons for Harry.
In addition, I asked him to make two more aprons.
The two aprons were for the two members of the guild.
Elvis asked me if I wanted to drink again today, but I said no, not today.
He said he would show up at the stall again tomorrow, so I gave Elvis a hug and we parted ways, heading back to Hungry Bear.
