Chapter 36: Little Childhood Sweetheart Is Quite Feisty (Part 36)
When Yun Xiaohuai returned from his work trip, he gave Xie Huixiu a lecture.
“Look at what she is wearing. Why didn’t you prepare her outfits and dress her up decently?”
When Yun Xiaohuai first saw Fanxing years after he had left her in that village, he was overjoyed. She was Jiayue’s twin, but after she grew up, her aura was totally different from Jiayue.
He was a man, and naturally, he knew what kind of woman a man would be attracted to.
Jiayue was suitable to be a wife who could manage a family. But most men would like a woman like Fanxing, who resembled a dainty and fragile flower.
“Dress her up? When I see her, I—”
“Can’t you be more far-sighted?”
No one had any idea how Yun Xiaohuai had chided Xie Huixiu. Since that day, Xie Huixiu began to play the role of Fanxing’s mother. She planned her entire wardrobe and hired a teacher to teach her about etiquette and manners.
Little Chief gazed at the clothes in her wardrobe with a strange feeling.
The clothes were nice, but she didn’t like them.
Why were all her clothes white and her dresses as plain as boiled cabbages?
She liked patterns and vibrant colors as they made her mood better.
“Jiayue, is that your sister?” Jiayue had brought a group of her friends to her house for a party.
Fanxing had been in the kitchen, eating her seventh ice cream. She had left the kitchen and bumped into them.
She wore a white dress, and her raven-black eyes looked vacant. She resembled a white flower that was swaying gently in the wind. The natural innocence she exuded made everyone stare at her unconsciously.
Most of the guys’ eyes lit up brightly as they stood behind Jiayue.
Wei Zizhuo glanced at Fanxing silently.
She really looked refreshing and bright.
The two guys who were closest to Yun Jiayue were Wei Zizhuo and Wen Renru. Yun Xiaohuai’s future son-in-law would likely be one of them. Wei Zizhuo and Yun Jiayue were childhood sweethearts, and they were particularly close. As for Wen Renru, he came from a more influential family than Wei Zizhuo.
Wen Renru noticed Wei Zizhuo stealing glances, and he smirked to himself.
It seemed like someone had vile intentions.
Actually, Wen Renru didn’t really like Yun Jiayue that much. But she had led him on, despite her obvious preference for Wei Zizhuo. Wen Renru had always gotten what he wanted. Since Yun Jiayue was playing with him, then he would have to conquer her!
Fanxing glanced at them briefly and ambled back to her room without a greeting.
Her stomach ached when she ate too many ice creams.
Qi He didn’t tell her that.
“Your sister seems spunky,” one of them remarked to Yun Jiayue. He didn’t sound sarcastic, but rather, his tone revealed admiration.
Yun Jiayue paused, feeling annoyed.
Spunky? She was merely stupid and didn’t even know the ways of the world.
“Jiayue, does your sister have a boyfriend? Since we are such close friends, you should keep the best stuff for me. I can be your brother-in-law, and I promise not to bully your sister…”
The others began to join in the commotion after the first guy spoke.
Yun Jiayue was so mad that she almost rolled her eyes.
What was wrong with these people?
All of them used to fawn over her, and they obviously liked her. Now, they were all lusting after that idiot? Were they all blinded by something?
Anger blazed in Yun Jiayue.
It was always others who served as props as they stood beside her. When had anyone stolen her limelight before?
“Jiayue, your sister is your twin right? Since you will be coming of age soon, will you be celebrating with her?”
Yun Jiayue instantly snapped, “Of course not!”
She was the one and only princess in the Yun family. That girl was just an idiot. She wasn’t qualified to have the coming of age ceremony with her!
She had retorted way too quickly as she was upset and furious. As a result, she looked menacing.
