Chapter 10: Battling the Martial Arts Master

The entire room was dark. There was one lonely light hanging from the ceiling, and the broken lightbulb was covered with dust.
Ferocious Tiger narrowed his eyes and did a quick scan of the place.
The space wasn’t split clearly between the living area, bedroom, and kitchen. It was just a rectangular room that barely fit a bed and a cupboard. Everything else had to be piled on the side, otherwise, there was nowhere to put them.
There wasn’t even a bathroom.
These sorts of living conditions were considered very poor, even in the slums.
There was a person leaning sideways against the window across from Ferocious Tiger. That was the leader of the assassins he’d hired.
The other men weren’t around, and his target wasn’t around either.
These guys were trying to be smart, but unfortunately, they didn’t understand that this attempt to be smart when faced with absolute power would ultimately increase their own pain.
Ferocious Tiger took large strides over and grabbed the young man’s neck. He lifted him with his hand and said, “You little piece of trash! Hand that boy over, otherwise, I guarantee that all of you are going to die horribly.”
The young man glared fiercely at him but didn’t say anything.
Ferocious Tiger’s eyes widened, and he was about to bash the young man up.
Suddenly, he had a bad feeling.
Ferocious Tiger suddenly turned himself around. Every part of him wiggled, and his entire body became taller and stronger.
In an instant, he had turned into a bulky giant that stood at three meters tall.
“Haaa!”
Ferocious Tiger let out a war cry, and he slammed his hands upward hard.
There was a muffled sound, and Ferocious Tiger flew up, staggered several steps backward, and crashed hard on the wall next to the window.
There was a crack in the wall from that crash.
Ferocious Tiger looked down at his own two hands.
“Bow and arrow? What a rarity.” Ferocious Tiger looked at the arrow he was holding on to tightly and wondered out loud.
He then looked up with a start to see a figure standing at the door in the dark, and there was an old fashioned longbow in his hand.
“You… you’re that poor student?!”
Ferocious Tiger realized who it was and he felt a tremendous shock in his heart.
It had taken all his strength to block that arrow earlier.
This sort of archery technique was certainly extraordinary, and it definitely wasn’t the standard a high school student should have.
He told himself that he had to fight him at close range so that he could get a chance to kill the boy off!
Ferocious Tiger then stomped on his feet and flew forward with a loud boom.
Gu Qingshan also made his move.
He shot another arrow.
This arrow was aimed for his chest, and Ferocious Tiger couldn’t avoid it in time since he was charging forward at high speed.
He had no choice but to stretch his hands out again and swing them down fiercely through the air.
PAK!
He managed to hit the arrow aside, but he had also moved back two steps from the immense impact of the arrow.
But Ferocious Tiger smiled as if it didn’t bother him at all.
“This arrow is pretty powerful, all right, but since you have such a tiny and skinny body, I suppose you can’t draw the bow back anymore, right?”
Ferocious Tiger rotated his neck a bit and jeered at Gu Qingshan, “How many more of such attacks can you make?”
Gu Qingshan paused for a while before replying, “Oh, plenty more.”
He drew the bow as he spoke.
Rapid Shot!
It was as if there were streams of gray lightning between them, shooting out from Gu Qingshan and hurtling toward Ferocious Tiger.
Ferocious Tiger leaned against the wall and used all his strength to defend himself.
The narrow room didn’t give him any space to hide.
The arrows had a powerful impact, and they were almost as powerful as a full-blown attack from a Martial Arts Master. If Ferocious Tiger didn’t try to defend himself, then he was going to end up with a body filled with arrows.
Ferocious Tiger really never dreamt that he, as a Martial Arts Master, would actually be losing to a high schooler.
And this embarrassing scene was being sent to where his Young Master was via holographic image.
“D*mn you, little punk! You can’t kill me! Once you finish using all your arrows, prepare to meet your death!” roared Ferocious Tiger angrily.
Gu Qingshan’s hands never stopped. He said, “That time will never come. Goodbye.”
He made all the Spirit Power within his Dantian flow into the arrow.
SWOOOSH!
The arrow whooshed over, and there came the sound of the arrow rubbing against the air around it.
Ferocious Tiger’s hands couldn’t contain this arrow, and it punctured his chest with a thud.
The wall that Ferocious Tiger was leaning against couldn’t take the impact. It cracked with a terrible sound and crumbled down from the 22nd story.
The entire face of the wall had fallen, so there was nothing but the billowing night wind behind Ferocious Tiger—nothing left for him to lean on.
“D*mn it!”
Ferocious Tiger tried his best to regain his balance and remain steady.
But what made him despair was that another arrow had already come whooshing toward him.
This aggressive arrow finally forced Ferocious Tiger to fly out from the 22nd story, drawing a parabola in the sky and falling to the bottom.
Never mind a Master—even a Grandmaster would definitely die after having fallen from the 22nd story.
Unless one had reached the Martial Arts Prime stage and had a body that could take tremendous impact as if it were made from iron and steel, one wouldn’t survive this fall.
Gu Qingshan walked over to where Ferocious Tiger was standing and picked up the communication device that had fallen on the floor.
“Nie Yun?”
Nie Yun’s nasty voice was heard through the communication device. “When you killed my family’s Hired Expert, didn’t it ever cross your mind that I would prepare something else for you?”
Gu Qingshan looked at the video displayed on the communication device and suddenly said, “You look like you’re in the largest casino in the city area. In that case, could you stay where you are?”
Nie Yun froze. “What do you mean?”
“Give me a minute, I’ll come over immediately to kill you.”
Gu Qingshan then flung the communication device out from the 22nd story.
He looked at the young man all curled up in a corner, then turned to leave.
The young man saw this and couldn’t help asking, “I’m no longer of use to you now. You’re really not going to kill me?”
“You’ve done everything I asked you to, so you’ve earned your life back.”
Gu Qingshan then continued on his way out and disappeared into the staircase.
There was a conflicted look on the young man’s face as he sighed, then climbed to his feet and ran out.
He yelled, “Wait up! Don’t go there and end up dying! Why not escape with me?!”
In the casino.
Nie Yun continued to stare blankly at the communication device and couldn’t say anything for a long time.
“Young Master Nie, I’m sorry. It seems like I won,” said the man wearing sunglasses from before.
Nie Yun got up with a start and started running out.
Soon enough, a beautiful, streamlined, flying shuttle rose from the casino and flew out at top speed.
The man wearing sunglasses watched the flying shuttle leave and chortled, “He looked like he was pretty powerful, but he’s actually been frightened off by one sentence.”
His face suddenly became very solemn as he turned around and bowed. “Your Highness, please control yourself while you’re still on a mission.”
The beautiful lady behind him slowly got up and looked down at the burning flames dancing in her hand.
The flames in her hand gathered to form a quiet and lifeless skull that exuded a heavy feeling of death and darkness.
The beautiful lady looked at the skull in her hand and spoke up after a long while. “Hiding my identity is really a troublesome thing.”
She clenched her fist, and the flames instantly disappeared.
