Chapter 25 Buying Antiques
When Fred was done complaining, Lance, who had been silent, spoke.
“But this pair of weirdos reminds us to sell the houses as soon as possible.”
Fred nodded in agreement. “That’s true.”
“Another good income after selling these houses,” Helen said with a gentle smile.
Pride filled Fred’s eyes. “Our son is the most promising.”
The family began to chat happily.
“Now that we have money on hand, why don’t we do some business?” During the conversation, Fred suddenly mentioned it. “Since I’m bored staying at home every day, we might as well do some business outside?”
Helen echoed, “That’s right. Treat it as exercise.”
Fred and Helen both had the intention of doing some small business, and Lance will naturally not raise any objections.
He began to provide ideas to his parents.
“If you’re in a small business, you can set up a stall.” After some thought, Lance offered a good idea. “Setting up a small stall requires little investment and carries less risk. Mom and Dad, this is very suitable for you.”
If he chose the right item, it would at most be an investment of a few thousand yuan.
“I think it’s feasible.”
“We set up a stall a long time ago and sold some things. It just so happens that we also have EXP.”
Fred couldn’t agree more.
Since Fred and Lance both agreed, Helen naturally didn’t say much.
The family quickly reached a consensus.
Finally, after some discussion, Fred decided to use the stall to sell some popular snacks.
After investing 5,000 yuan, they bought all the equipment they needed and prepared everything.
Eager and ready, Fred and Helen drove to a bustling market.
Because they came early, there were not many vendors setting up stalls.
Fred looked over and saw rows of vacant spots along the street that seemed to stretch on endlessly.
He was instantly confused. “Where should we set up our stall?”
Lance didn’t answer immediately.
He first used the system to determine which location along the street was most suitable for setting up the stall and making the most profit. After determining the location, Lance stepped forward and tugged at Fred’s sleeve. With his other hand, he pointed in a direction.
“Dad, let’s set up a stall there.”
He looked in the direction Lance was pointing.
He realized that there was a school nearby where Lance had pointed.
Fred thought about it carefully and realized that it was about time for school to be dismissed. Their popular snacks would definitely attract the students’ attention.
“Good idea!” Fred laughed heartily and ruffled Lance’s soft hair. “As expected of my good eldest son!”
With that, Fred and Helen set up the stall and propped it up at the location Lance had mentioned.
After the stall was set up, there were gradually more people.
Because of his age, Lance couldn’t help. He could only watch.
Seeing this, Lance felt really bored.
Hence, after informing Helen, Lance walked around alone.
There were all kinds of things in this market: snacks, clothes, pots, pans, and even furniture.
Everywhere, the shouts of vendors could be heard.
As Lance was loitering, the crowd ahead caught his eye.
The crowd was gathered together and the discussion was loud.
Curious, Lance leaned closer to the crowd as the voices of the passersby’s discussion became clearer.
“Oh my god, this is the first time in my life that I’ve seen a rich second-generation heir setting up a stall. This is the love of the rich, okay?”
“I checked on that car online. It costs five million yuan! Did the rich second-generation heir come to our place to experience life?”
“I have no regrets in my life to see such a priced car with my own eyes!”
“But this young master is here to sell antiques?
Is there really someone who can buy them? I don’t believe it.”
After hearing what the crowd was discussing, Lance moved into the crowd and reached the front of the crowd through his physical advantage.
His vision cleared, and Lance noticed the luxury car the passersby were talking about.
It was a Mercedes-Benz. Its appearance was domineering and especially conspicuous.
However, the owner of the car was even more colorful.
The rich second-generation heir mentioned by passersby was dressed in a pink suit. His hair was combed neatly and there was even a strand of hair dyed pink, at the front of it.
Is this the taste of a rich second-generation heir? Lance couldn’t appreciate it. He looked down.
There were antiques scattered below that the rich second-generation heir wanted to sell. This piqued his interest, and Lance instantly came up with a way to make money.
If the antiques here were real, wouldn’t he have profited by buying them?
To start off, Lance summoned the system. Then, Lance used the system to analyze these antiques one by one. After analyzing them all, Lance only found one real one.
It seemed among the antiques that the rich second-generation heir was selling, there might not be many real antiques.
Shaking his head helplessly, Lance went to the stall.
“How much is the antique?” Eight-year-old Lance appeared in front of the antique stall. Something didn’t seem right.
The rich second-generation seller and the eight-year-old buyer formed the strangest scenery.
“Kid, go home and drink milk! This isn’t a place you should be.”
“Hahaha, that’s right. Your pocket money is not enough to buy this antique.”
“You have to spend several years of New Year’s money to afford this! Eh? Is your New Year’s money with your parents! Hahahaha.”
“Don’t get in the way. Whose child is he?
Parents, come out quickly and bring this brat back. Don’t break the antique.”
|| 11 When the people around him saw that the newcomer was a child, they laughed out loud.
The rich second-generation heir had no intention of receiving him.
Lance could only speak again. “I can afford it. How much for one?”
Seeing Lance’s persistence, the rich second-generation heir took an interest in teasing the child.
“The antiques here are 1,000 yuan each!”
“Kid, you can choose whatever you want, but you might make a profit or a loss, after buying it. You will not get a refund.” The rich second-generation heir felt that a thousand yuan was already a sky-high price for a child.
This time, Lance would definitely retreat.
“I’d like that.”
“You are going home to Mom when you know the price is high… What? You really want to buy it?”
When the rich second-generation heir came back to his senses, Lance had already taken out his bank card.
“I’ll farm my card.”
The simple words silenced the surrounding crowd. Could it be that this child really wants to buy antiques with New Year’s money?
He buys antiques at such a young age. What would happen when he grows up? Lance ignored these gazes and farmed his card under the surprised gaze of the rich second-generation heir. After the payment was successful, Lance pretended to think and scanned the antiques on the ground.
After looking around, Lance locked his gaze on the only real item. “I’ll take this.”
Lance’s tone was firm as he pointed to one of the antiques.
“Take a good look. You can buy it when you decide.”
“Let me remind you again. No return or exchange.”
The rich second-generation heir spoke casually without looking at Lance.
“That’s it,” Lance repeated. Hearing this, the rich second-generation heir looked at Lance and prepared to wrap up the item he had chosen.
However, when he noticed what Lance was referring to, he was stunned. Did this brat choose the only genuine one?
