…
Numerous notifications flooded his retinas.
Yi Qiu touched his bald head, he didn’t think he felt dazzled, instead he felt a little giddy. One of the notifications mentioned that this dungeon would rest after 7 days and during this period he could explore this place freely.
Thinking about it, Yi Qiu didn’t hurry out of the dungeon. Instead, he walked toward where the boar dashed.
After walking for roughly 1,000 meters, Yi Qiu found the boar laying in a pool of blood. He then noticed a normal looking wooden box floating above the corpse of the boar.
”I was thinking how could a boss not drop any equipment?” Yi Qiu tried to pick up the box but the only thing he grabbed was air as the box disappeared right away.
”You have obtained an Old Treasure Chest from the Brown Tooth Boar.”
Looking at this notification on his retina, Yi Qiu started to judge this wild boar which was his first kill:
Brown ugly fangs faced the sky, its face covered with dirt and pumpkin juice, its brown skin was covered in needle-like fur. Its huge body looked like a small vehicle, even if it was dead it looked very threatening.
Yi Qiu thought about it. He closed his eyes and chose to exit the dungeon. He felt the world around him twist and turn as he returned to his room.
After opening his bag, he noticed that there was one less bottle of pepper spray and quicklime. Yi Qiu had a guess, that the things he brought into the dungeon couldn’t be brought back. That was because when he exited the dungeon, his hand was still carrying that bottle of pepper spray.
However, he wasn’t in a rush to come to a conclusion. Yi Qiu tossed his bag to the side, shaking out his sore arms as he entered the kitchen. Yesterday’s adventure caused him to lose the vegetable knife that he always used but he still had his butcher knife. With his strength, he could use a butcher knife. But his physique was not good enough and he would be out of strength after slashing once or twice which was why he brought the vegetable knife.
Holding the butcher knife, Yi Qiu closed his eyes and chose to enter the dungeon.
The ugly looking fangs of the Brown Tooth Boar entered his eyes. Yi Qiu flicked the butcher knife in his hands. The Chinese culinary tradition made Yi Qiu felt like not eating this huge boar and just throwing it away would be a huge waste.
Boars and normal pigs had a similar structure. Moreover, with the size of this boar, once Yi Qiu sliced the tenderloin within, he would have enough food for a very long time.
”Ka”, the butcher knife made of stainless steel sliced into the back of the boar and gave out a low and heavy sound. It was a little difficult to enter the meat, the brown skin underneath the layer of fur was really tough.
He spent a long time before he was able to slice off a piece of tenderloin. He weighed it in his hands and estimated that it was around a few dozen kilograms. This was just a large portion of the Brown Tooth Boar but Yi Qiu was already out of Ki to cut more out. These few dozen kilograms were enough for him to eat for a long time.
…
”Ci” the wild boar meat rolled around in the boiling water, the scent of pork mixed with star anise and cinnamon wafted into the air.
Yi Qiu sat in the living room and tabulated his gains. First was experience, a total of 165 points. He needed 1000 to raise his Monk level. If the future dungeons were like this, he would need a total of 7 weeks to level up.
As for the 100 Integrated Network coins, Yi Qiu opened the newly unlocked Item Exchange and realized that it was quite valuable.
Although it couldn’t be compared to USD, it was better than Vietnamese Dong.
The cheapest level 1 weapon was around 10 Integrated Network Coins. Apart from those were a dazzling variety of cultivation techniques and other random things. Yi Qiu took a rough look and realized that the things sold here were really cool. From the Taoist Inner Pellet Cultivation from the East, Metallurgy in the West, there was the majestic righteous technique Nine Yang God Technique, and also weird and unorthodox techniques like the Second Son Technique. There was also Approaching Nauru from Azeroth and Varolan’s Classic Rune Technique.
There was an overall large variety of them, many that Yi Qiu had never heard of before. From the introduction, these things were born from the consciousness of the earth, produced by the minds of numerous humans.
When one selected to exchange for a secret technique or an item, the price wasn’t fixed. Normally there would be a lowest price and above that one can choose the number you would like to exchange for. The stats of the secret technique and items would depend on how many Integrated Network Coins you spent. In short, if you didn’t spend money, then how would you become strong?
The secret techniques that one exchanged for couldn’t be advanced through experience but through cultivation, helping to add to one’s Class skills. This meant that Yi Qiu could throw fireballs with his bald head, but just thinking about it he felt that it didn’t make sense. With his small bit of intelligence, it would be tough for him to even learn it. The technique exchange included teaching and learning but as for the specific cultivation, it still depended on oneself.
For example, if one were to cultivate Second Son Technique, you have to first exchange for it and the secret technique will then be directly uploaded into your brain. Once the exchange is completed, you will clearly understand each step and detail of the technique, like knowing how many sacrifices needed and what you have to do, but that doesn’t mean you have the ability of the Second Son Technique. You still need to complete the rituals one by one to obtain that strength.
Yi Qiu waited for the pork to be cooked while thinking about what technique to exchange for. He didn’t consider exchanging for weapons because even if he had some guns, he didn’t have the strength or skill to use it. Moreover, guns were really expensive, one needed hundreds of Integrated Network Coins. The cheapest handgun bullet was 1 Integrated Network coin. Thus, strengthing his own body was the key.
Thinking about it, Yi Qiu decided to ask about it online. He opened his laptop and entered the Rotten Apple Playground that he frequented. He then typed “What cultivation technique should modern-day people train in?”. He thought about it and added in the conditions, “Cultivation technique can come from games, novels etc.”
Not long after he posted it, someone replied. As one of the biggest game forums in the Chinese world, Rotten Apple Playground had high activity.
”What type of body qualities are you referring to?”
Yi Qiu thought about it and felt that his question had the possibility of going in the wrong direction but he still replied, “Faster, stronger, longer.”
A bunch of perverts were drawn to it. However, among them were a bunch of reliable answers.
”I recommend Dragon Elephant Prajna Technique, even a fool can cultivate this. I think modern-day people probably won’t face any problems.”
Yi Qiu thought about it and felt that it could work. Although there wasn’t anything special about the Dragon Elephant Prajna Technique, it was just pure body strengthening, but after all the requirements were low and probably wouldn’t be expensive.
The Brown Tooth Boar stewing in the kitchen was probably ready. Yi Qiu placed his laptop to the side and picked up a large piece of it.
Yi Qiu sliced 500 grams of Brown Tooth Boar tenderloin into ten pieces and stewed it for a full afternoon. It wasn’t as tender as the normal pork that he ate, after all the tenderloin portion was chewier.
The Brown Tooth Boar meat was fragrant. However, while he was halfway through, he suddenly thought about what would happen if the meat was poisonous. He then thought about how it was impossible to be poisonous since it tasted so good, before he happily consumed it…
