Chapter 54
Noel looked softly at Sylvia, who was shaking her head, and then swept her hair back and whispered in her ear. Her body flinched with tickles and tension as the hot breath reached her ear.
“I think you need to wash up… Please stop by my house. You’ll feel uncomfortable if you go in this state…”
Noel stroked her thighs with a very tenacious touch. It was good that his intention for suggesting she go to his home seemed transparent. Sylvia traced her lips with her index finger and opened her eyes to look at Noel.
“Hm… Shall I?”
The two of them, who left the café with an awkward look for having done something bold, picked up Limbo, who had been tied up in the stable at the temple, and headed to Noel’s house. Noel was the son of a count, so he received a lot of support from his family, and his salary was also quite high while living as a priest, so he lived in a luxurious mansion on his own.
Sylvia parked Limbo next to Noel’s foreign horse. The stable at Noel’s mansion was as glamorous as the one at the temple, so Limbo greeted the next-door foreign horse with a satisfied face, and it was busy chatting while she opened a bottle of Evi*n water.
Unlike the image she saw in the temple, it was somewhat strange for Sylvia to see Noel, the second son of a count, being politely greeted by the servants. The old-looking butler was surprised to see Noel bring in a woman and his eyes widened, but he politely greeted her without asking anything.
“This is the first time that Mr. Noel has brought in a woman. Welcome, Miss Sylvia.”
Whether he was quick-witted, he said hello to Sylvia, then gave one warm look at Noel and quickly disappeared.
Sylvia, who declined the maids who wanted to give her a bath, was enjoying a lower-body bath in the large bathtub when Noel suddenly entered the bathroom, and they ended up doing it two more times. It was time to get used to it after doing it seven times, but it felt even more strange knowing that the servants who served Noel were inside the mansion somewhere.
In addition, she was more excited when she thought that she was the first woman that Noel had s*x with at his house.
There wasn’t anything special about doing it in the bathroom, so after doing it twice, she only got two seeds.
After having s*x, Noel suggested she go home after dinner, but Sylvia smiled and refuse. She headed home with Limbo, leaving Noel behind with a sad face.
‘I need to send a carrier pigeon to Luca to find out what the good job on the day of the Coming-of-Age Festival is.’
Riding on top of Limbo, she opened her inventory to see how many seeds she had obtained.
‘The total number of seeds acquired today is nine. It’s a pity that we can’t do it in a different place every time, but the result is really good. At this rate, I’ll be able to get a lot when we go to the dungeon next week. I might be able to level up my skills faster than I thought.’
“Huh?”
At that moment, she faltered for a moment and almost fell, but Limbo swiftly turned its body to protect her. She learned a small lesson that day that even if it was self-driving, it was still dangerous to be doing something else.
When she got home, she wiped Limbo’s hooves and opened the door to escort it inside. Even today, Limbo gave an elegant snort and sat on the bed.
‘Limbo… Come to think of it, don’t we need to give him a bath? But I don’t think Limbo will fit in that narrow bathroom. Should I put only half of his body and wash it?’
She was worried for a moment, thinking that she had to give Limbo a bath, but when she smelled its fur, luckily, she smelled a fragrant scent. It seemed that the coachman had washed Limbo thoroughly when she left it at Noel’s house or the stable in the temple.
Sevis, who looked at Limbo with a displeased face with his arms still crossed, led her to the table. For today’s dinner, a simple chicken salad was prepared, with fruit pudding for dessert.
“Oh, it looks delicious. Sometimes it’s nice to eat this kind of food too.”
“I bought the pudding at the market because I wanted to eat something sweet, since that guy Limbo completely devoured the tiramisu yesterday.”
Sevis grinned. However, Sevis’ expectant face did not last long. Sevis, who had gotten up after eating the chicken salad to grab the pudding he had placed on the sink, stopped as if he had seen a ghost.
On the sink, only an empty plate was left. Limbo, who had secretly crept into the kitchen without making a horseshoe sound, was smacking its lips with an empty pudding bowl next to it.
“Ahhh!”
Sevis, who pulled his hair and expressed his stress, approached Limbo with loud steps.
“You horse bastard! Really… You devoured the tiramisu, and now you even devoured the pudding.”
As Sevis panted and lightly slapped Limbo’s back with his palm, Limbo rolled around the kitchen floor in surprise. As the big Limbo rolled around, the house shook as if there was an earthquake, and all kinds of kitchen supplies, such as the spatula and ladle hanging over the sink, fell to the floor. It seemed so surprised that its body even trembled while it was neighing.
“I mean? Limbo, you bastard, I just tapped you a little, why did you tumble down? Are you part of a band of carriage frauds?”
“Neigh!”
As Sevis tried to open Limbo’s mouth and take out the pudding it was chewing with a ridiculous expression, it went behind Sylvia and hid.
Sylvia sighed, patted Limbo on the back, and looked at Sevis.
“Sevis! What does a horse know? I think it wanted a bite because it liked the pudding scent.”
“It didn’t take a bite. There was a lot on the plate, and he devoured it all… Spit it out! Spit it out! You bastard.”
“Limbo must have been very surprised because you hit him on the back. Look at it, trembling.”
Limbo trembled and buried its head in her neck. While she patted its back and turned her head, Limbo held out its tongue towards Sevis. As if it was teasing him. The dumbfounded Sevis opened his eyes wide and tried to take Limbo away from her.
“That’s an act. I can tell because I’m a shifter.”
“So you’re saying that Limbo is not in pain but doing a Hollywood act, Sevis?”
“Holly… what? Anyway, that can’t be. Spit out everything in your mouth!”
When Sevis raised his eyebrows and glared at it, Limbo walked and fled, and Sevis, who had turned into a wolf, chased after it. It was a complete mess.
“Ugh, my head…”
Sylvia sighed. She was worried that Limbo and Sevis would need to get along better in order to live together. In fact, all of this was due to poverty, she thought. If Limbo had enough pudding to eat as much as it wanted, things would have been peaceful without Sevis or Limbo fighting. That’s what poverty is.
Sevis, who had bitten Limbo’s muzzle while being transformed, gave up, exhausted. Limbo grunted with a satisfied expression before returning to the living room with a snort.
Sylvia smiled softly and opened her mouth as she looked at Sevis panting at the table, undoing his transformation.
“Sevis, I talked with Mr. Priest, and he said that he can cover the maintenance costs of Limbo at the temple. If it can eat as much as it wants, Limbo won’t touch your food.”
At her words, Sevis smiled broadly and clapped his hands together.
“Wow! That’s a relief! That’s a good thing…”
“What is it?”
“Something’s wrong, no matter how you think about it! I can’t believe a horse eats people’s food. I feel like it’s eating on purpose?”
“What do you mean, eating on purpose… I told you the other day, it must be just your feeling. Sevis, let’s go to the dungeon this week and earn a lot of money to eat a lot of delicious stuff. Relax.”
At her words, the panting Sevis barely calmed down. However, he did not stop staring at Limbo, who was sitting in the living room and only the tail was visible.
“That horse bastard… I will give it a good scolding next time.”
Feeling Sevis glaring at it, Limbo responded intimidatingly by hitting the floor with its tail. There seemed to be a spark between them. Two animals… Sylvia sighed, trapped between the wolf shifter and the horse.
The next morning, Sylvia woke up early and flew a carrier pigeon to the nest address written on Luca’s business card.

[Hello, this is Sylvia. I’m curious about what kind of job you said would be good for me to do on the day of the Coming-of-Age Festival. But I can’t make the time right now because I’m busy, so can you tell me about it through the carrier pigeon? I apologize.]

Since she couldn’t target Luca if she met him right now, she just wanted to know what she was doing during the Coming-of-Age Festival. She didn’t think that saying she didn’t have time to meet would hurt Luca’s pride. Sylvia, who had sent out the carried pigeon and climbed on top of Limbo, leisurely headed to the temple.
When she went to the temple, there was good news. The high priest heard Noel’s words and agreed to pay for Limbo’s maintenance. In addition to receiving food and basic supplies every month, Limbo’s serial number was registered in the stables of the empire to receive benefits like parking and washing for free.
Again today, the high priest came to Sylvia, who was caught in between the believers, gently sweeping until her back was bent, and spoke with an apologetic face.
