Chapter 180 Discharging From the Hospital
Hearing Aren’s voice through the blanket, Jocelyn’s body stiffened for a moment.
Even if her breathing was really not getting irregular right now, and the irregularity of breathing reminded her of the suffocating feeling when Miles grabbed her neck, Jocelyn still clenched the blanket tightly, as if under the blanket, she was in a different world with Aren.
Before the redness on her face was completely gone, Jocelyn did not want to see Aren again.
Jocelyn shook her head and wanted to speak, but when she realized that she could not make a sound at this moment, she pulled the blanket down a little to reveal half of her face. She looked at Aren and then shook her head to indicate that she did not feel suffocated.
Jocelyn shifted her gaze to the door, hoping that Aren would understand her message and leave the room immediately.
Although Jocelyn could not speak, her eyes perfectly expressed what was on her mind.
Aren wasn’t displeased at being treated as such by Jocelyn.
Who was he? He was the leader of South Side and the top bachelor of New York. He created a technology empire on his own, and was the Prince Charming of every woman in New York.
So many people wanted to be Mrs. Brown. If he visited those women in hospital, they would be moved to tears.
But Jocelyn, she actually wanted him to leave!
In fact, if Jocelyn did not say anything, Aren was prepared to leave for his company after making sure she was fine. But now, he did not want to leave. He wanted to stay and stare at Jocelyn, who was anxiously waiting for him to leave.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Show your head. Don’t cover your nose,” Aren said coldly and tightened his grip on the blanket. He suddenly pulled down the blanket, revealing her face red from shyness and shortness of breath.
Jocelyn quickly grabbed the blanket from Aren’s hand, wanting to shrink back under it like a hermit crab anxiously looking for its shell.
However, Jocelyn was naturally not strong enough to play tug of war with Aren. He said coldly, “You actually have the strength to grab the blanket. It seems that your body has indeed recovered quite a lot. Since you’re alright, get up and go home. It’s getting late.”
Looking at how Jocelyn still had the energy to snatch the blanket from him, Aren felt mixed emotions. He did not know if he should be angry or grateful that Jocelyn was fine like the doctor said.
Hearing the word “home”, Jocelyn’s ears twitched, and a trace of joy appeared on her face. She forgot that she was in the hospital. As long as Aren did not want to leave, she could do nothing to him.
But now that she was staying at Stephen’s house, as long as she went back, she could escape Aren. At this thought, Jocelyn was overjoyed. She sat up, but accidentally bumped into Aren’s chin.
The pain made Jocelyn cover her forehead, and tears welled up in her eyes.
Aren slowly closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
The force of the blow was so great that Aren even suspected that his chin had been broken by Jocelyn. Otherwise, why did it hurt so much?
Aren opened his mouth and gently nudged it twice. Seeing that his chin was working, he was relieved.
“Is your head alright? Do you need a doctor?”
Jocelyn shook her head.
The pain on her forehead only lasted for a moment before it went away. As Jocelyn was rubbing her forehead, she told Aren that she wanted to be discharged.
“Sure,” said Aren with a nod.
Aren called Luke, who was standing outside, into the ward.
