Chapter 12: Everyday life after that
One month after entering junior high school.
Daiki decided to join the soccer club.
Wakaba joined the tennis club.
Both of them liked sports.
So they decided to join the sports club.
Wakaba said to Daiki
Lets join the tennis club together!
He was told, but he wanted to play sports with as many friends as possible, so he chose soccer, where he could play in eleven-man games.
The tennis club was also outside, which made him decide to join the club for the rather simple reason that he could see Wakaba a little more.
Wakaba had always been interested in tennis, so she chose tennis.
In the morning, they went to the club together, and on the way home, they would wait for the person who finished club activities earlier.
School life was enjoyable.
Although in different classes, they both became popular in their classes.
It was not so much a change, but Wakaba was still popular.
She started to lose her childishness after entering junior high school, and her appearance became more dainty than before.
Inside, she was still energetic and cheerful, popular with both boys and girls alike.
Daiki also became more popular because of his brightness.
His original face was not so bad, and he began to grow taller, making him look like he would be popular.
However, since he was always with Wakaba, he could not get rid of the younger brother feeling, so he could not become popular.
He was having a good time with his club mates.
So far, things were going as Daiki had hoped.
Wakaba was also enjoying her school life with her friends while worrying about Daiki.
She is also doing her best in tennis, a club activity she has always wanted to play.
She is athletic, so she quickly became good at it.
The boys tennis team also shared the same court, so most of the boys club members were so worried about Wakaba that they didnt practice.
Wakaba is really popular.
Not only from her classmates but also from her club mates.
With such popularity, there might have been jealousy and backbiting, but this was not the case, as she was more popular with the girls.
Daiki, looking at Wakaba from a distance, said to her
Wakaba, you are still as amazing as ever!
he said to himself.
At home, the two of them were getting used to life together.
Since his father used to work all the time, not much has changed, but there is a big difference between having him around and not having him around.
There are times when a mans help is needed.
His body was getting bigger, so Daiki started to carry heavy things.
He also started helping out more than before.
His mother also increased her part-time hours, so Daiki did the laundry and dishes.
Daiki was satisfied with his daily life.
He thought he had to work hard to build this normal life again.
During Golden Week, he was mostly involved in club activities, but on his days off, he went shopping with his mother and met and talked with Wakaba for a while.
From this time on, Daikis personality became more and more mature as he tried not to show his emotions.
Now, Wakaba was no longer the older sister, but Daiki was like the older brother.
In front of Wakaba and everyone else at the school, he had decided to act like a little brother as he had in the past, but inside, Wakaba had become more childish than him.
