Chapter 31: Adorable Little Boy

Listening to her mother, Ye Anxin tugged at the corner of her mouth and said helplessly, “Mom, your imagination is running wild. Don’t you know your own daughter? Am I that kind of person? Don’t worry, we’re just friends. When have I ever let you down?”

Upon hearing this, Mother Ye was relieved. “Now I feel reassured. Mom will help organize your luggage right away. And I’ll have this man bring them to you.”

“All right, thank you.” Ye Anxin was about to hang up when Mother Ye’s voice continued, “Anxin, when you come back, let’s go out and rent a house. It’s not good to live in a hotel. It costs 100 yuan per day.”

Ye Anxin thought about it for a while, and then she said, “Okay! The day after tomorrow happens to be a Saturday. I will accompany you to find a house then. You’ll only have to stay there with dad for two more days.”

Looking for the source of the voice, Ye Anxin stopped. She saw a five- or six-year-old boy standing in front of her. The boy was wearing blue casual sportswear. His small face was as exquisite as a Barbie doll. He had doe eyes, a small, straight nose, nice lips, and a fair complexion. If it hadn’t been for his clothes and hair, she would have mistaken him for a girl.

Upon seeing that Ye Anxin was staring at his face dazedly, the little boy burst out in a laugh. “Big sister, do you hear me talking?”
