Chapter 35: Defending Huo Jiantian

“Mwah…I won’t do it again, I promise I won’t do it again…” Huo Jiantian’s eyes flowed with tears. He looked extremely pitiful and sorrowful.

No matter how woeful he sounded as he continued to cry, Huo Yunmo didn’t fall for it at all. In fact, he started spanking his butt more and more forcefully.

Ye Anxin was so angry that she blabbered out everything in one breath.

Although she had never liked to be nosy and stick her nose into other people’s business, the little guy had been crying so sorrowfully moments before that she got a heartache just from seeing him cry.

Without answering a single word, Huo Yunmo simply watched her little mouth blabber on and on.

While Ye Anxin reprimanded Huo Yunmo, Huo Jiantian took advantage of her distracted state and made a face toward Huo Yunmo as he motioned toward Ye Anxin with his chin. He looked absolutely triumphant as he looked at his dad with an extremely smug expression on his face.

Ye Anxin caressed Huo Jiantian’s tear-stained face and asked him with anguish in her voice, “Tiantian, does it still hurt? Tell sister, and if it hurts sister will take you to the doctor.”

Huo Jiantian shook his head, pouted, and said with a choked sob, “Sister, it doesn’t hurt anymore. He is my dad, so he should beat me when I do something wrong. Please don’t blame my dad, and please don’t call the police to arrest him.”

Huo Yunmo didn’t answer and simply continued to stare at her in the same manner.

Upon seeing that he didn’t answer her, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but raise the volume of her voice a little bit, “Did you hear what I said?”

After a while, Huo Yunmo nodded stiffly.
