Dear Eddert - Chapter 4
Chapter 4
“Huuu… huuuuk…”
With her teeth gritted together, she trembled spontaneously. Hyemi gently opened her eyes with all her might. A man shrouded by shadows stood at the foot of her bed.
“… Wh, who are you?”
She barely opened her lips to speak. There was an illusion of fire burning in his scorching dark brown eyes. A completely different kind of fear rushed into her compared to seeing the silver-haired man. Her chest pounded—hot, rapid. Was this a gift from that person called Benedict?
“Are you a ghost? A spirit? Or the grim reaper?”
Trying not to be conscious of how deep the wrinkles were between the man’s brows, Hyemi spat out her questions.
“I don’t think I’m crazy… But… What is this…”
Is she dead? What the hell is his identity?
“Yes. You are not crazy.”
The man quickly approached the side of her bed. It was an agile movement that you wouldn’t expect from someone with as large a physique as he did.
“Because a strong person like you cannot go crazy.”
In the sudden panic that washed over her, Hyemi seemed to be losing her mind. She grumbled and tried to get up, but her body was still unwilling to move.
“I’ll explain later.”
A thin blanket flew to the floor by his hand. Hyemi’s eyes widened as if they were about to pop out. Would she die like this? Unexpectedly, he began to move towards Hyemi, who trembled as she imagined his large hand reaching out to grip her neck.
“I’ve been waiting for you for far too long.”
The man who took off his hood and revealed his face, looking at her as he let out a rough breath. The man had a completely different impression compared to Benedict, whose facial features were so striking it was as though his looks had been clearly engraved in her mind.
She wondered what it would be like if the dark wolf, which she could only imagine, were to be personified. At the intense masculine appearance, it would be no surprise that, once seen, he would be unforgettable.
“…Wh, what are you doing now…”
The cloak-like clothes wrapped around his large body unraveled without a sound.
“Let’s go back. This is not where your soul should be.”
Bewildered, the man’s words could not reach Hyemi at all.
“Uh, uh…”
His size was greater than what could be seen under his clothes. His large, copper-colored body, covered with tears and cut wounds, shone golden under the sunlight that was streaming through the window. The complete nakedness of the man was without a single thread.
Thick muscles soared over his shoulder, which was wide at the right angles, and his chest itself was broad, his thick upper arms swelling as if they were about to explode as they moved back and forth.
His abdominal muscles were clearly defined as if they had been sculpted here and there with a sharp knife, and both thighs looked as though crushed and chiseled from a large stone. His erect manhood soared, covering his navel—and it was, without any exaggeration, the girth of her forearm. It was the first time she had seen a grotesque object with bulging veins that could even be considered as a weapon.
“Haa…”
Right then, what she felt was shock and horror itself. Seeing the man crawling up over her little bed, Hyemi was startled, and she had no choice but to widen her eyes and tremble.
“What, what… are you doing now…”
The single mattress dipped and the iron frame that supported it creaked. The man locked her between his knees, and Hyemi lay there on the bed as though she’d been bound by ropes. She couldn’t move. She just turned her head to the side and took a deep breath.
“Come with me.”
“Save, save me.”
An instinctive plea came out of her mouth. As Hyemi whispered as if begging, the man’s expression distorted painfully.
“…Look at me, Eden.”
His crumpled expression was now right in front of her. Long horizontal eyes under dark brown eyebrows, a sharp nose bridge and brightly colored lips— it gave a strong impression that he was one who couldn’t be forgotten even after just a glance. However, among his features, there was only one that penetrated her mind so sharply, and it was his terrifyingly burning almond-like brown eyes..
“I don’t know what you’re talking about… Save… Save me… I’m begging you….”
Hyemi could barely utter a word through her trembling lips. It was unfair that her body was not moving and she couldn’t beg with her hands together.
“If you let me live, I will come to my senses and live my life properly. I will do anything.”
She meant it. She felt like a fool for arguing with her mother over nothing, and hot tears welled up.
“Don’t try to run away from me.”
With an enraged tone, the man looked at her and said this. His eyes were hot as if they were on fire. Could anyone look into these eyes and forget him for the rest of their lives?
Hyemi couldn’t understand why he was looking at her with those eyes. What did she do to him? Why was he doing this to her?
“Because losing you once is enough.”
The man let out a husky voice and grabbed the back of her head firmly. Hyemi’s eyes were wide open and she had no choice but to face the approaching man. Damp heat touched her cheeks.
“Ha… Ah…”
Hot.
The body temperature of the large hand gripping her neck tightly was binding. Even the breath of the man touching her face. It was hot, as though everything was burning.
It was the moment when it was confirmed once again that this could not be a dream.
Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump.
Her heart was beating rapidly and hot blood rushed through her body. The man’s blazing eyes caught Hyemi’s gaze tightly.
“To me… Why… Why are you…”
In the end, tears were in her eyes and Hyemi whispered to him as if pleading. The man looked at her and bit his lip.
“Sorry for being late.”
She could not run away from him as he muttered unfamiliar words. She couldn’t avoid his terrifyingly intense eyes. A burning, desperate desire intermingled with the gaze directed at her.
“I’m sorry for making you like this. I’m sorry for making you suffer, Eden.”
The man’s eyes got wet. At the same time, the breath that he exhaled toward her became even hotter.
“However… The day I dare to be by your side is…”
