Song Qinghuan’s mind turned blank. She looked at Shi Yuhan in disbelief as she bit her lips furiously. Yet, she was still unable to control her emotions. Her heart was burning with anger.
“You-you-you…” She was speechless due to her anger.
She could only raise a trembling finger and point at Shi Yuhan who was walking backward.
Shi Yuhan looked at her quietly. No emotions could be seen on his face. “A couple has to live together. If you want to act, you have to complete the scene. Do you understand?”
Song Qinghuan felt suffocated. It was as if someone stuffed a bunch of hay down her throat. She felt extremely uncomfortable.
She snorted. She glared at him and gritted her teeth. “I’m not free tomorrow. I’ll move in in two days.”
Then she turned and left.
If she had to look a single second more at this evil and irritating man, her brain cells would start to die!
The corners of Shi Yuhan’s lips lifted slightly as he looked at her retreating back.
He took out his cell phone and dialed a number. Before the other party could speak, he gave his order. “Investigate someone for me. Her name is Song Qinghuan. Find out her motive for joining Era Group.”
The Era Group building rose high above the other skyscrapers. It was situated in a convenient location, right in the middle of the business district with trees and flowers planted around it. The next day, Song Qinghuan walked into the Era Group building at 9 am.
She smiled politely and asked the receptionist in the lobby, “Hello, my name is Song Qinghuan. I came to report for work. May I ask where the HR department is?”
“Please wait one moment.” The receptionist gave a professional smile as she called the internal line.
After going through their standard procedures, she hung up and smiled as she informed Song Qinghuan, “The HR department is on the 10th floor. When you reach the 10th floor, Manager Zhao’s assistant will bring you to him.”
Song Qinghuan smiled and thanked the lady. Then she took the elevator and went to the 10th floor. The moment she walked out, she saw the words “Human Resource Department” written in big letters on the glass door in the middle of the floor.
She opened the door and peeked inside. There were many different office sections. Everyone looked very busy. They were typing on their keyboards furiously and people kept walking around the office without looking up at all.
Song Qinghuan suddenly felt a little nervous. As expected, the atmosphere at a big company was different.
A lady wearing a blouse with red and white stripes and a short black skirt strode towards Song Qinghuan. “Hello, are you Song Qinghuan?”
Her black hair lay casually on her shoulders. Her fringe was parted sideways and it was just long enough to touch her eyelids. Her eyes were twinkling as she smiled at Song Qinghuan. She gave off a kind and warm aura.
Song Qinghuan nodded and smiled. She replied with courtesy, “Yes, I’m Song Qinghuan. I will be starting work today.”
The lady smiled. “I know. I’m Manager Zhao’s assistant. Yu Yang. I will take you to Manager Zhao now.”
This was her first day of work but her manager told her to get Song Qinghuan personally. Yu Yang thought Song Qinghuan must have a powerful background.
