Chapter 680: Chapter 683: What Sister?
After a short chat, Yue Yaer, wiping her sweat, descended from upstairs.
The massage room was on the third floor.
Chi Yu and Chi Zhan both stood up and simultaneously asked, “Dr. Yue, how is my sister doing?”
“She’s asleep,” Yue Yaer replied with a shallow smile, “Don’t worry, I think she’s in much better health compared to before. I’m confident that we will be able to completely heal her.”
“Dr. Yue, I can’t thank you enough!” Chi Yu expressed his gratitude.
Chi Zhan looked at Yue Yaer in a daze.
Yue Yaer was wearing a simple white shirt and jeans that day, her hair chopped to her ears. Her natural, scholarly appearance, enhanced by this attire, was both sharp and impeccable. Her beauty was quite enchanting, it was hard to look away.
Chi Yu noticed his dazed younger brother not speaking and turned to see that the silly boy was staring blankly at Dr. Yue.
He frowned slightly and elbowed his dim-witted brother.
Chi Zhan snapped out of his daze, his ears turned red, “Thank you, Dr. Yue.”
Yue Yaer was in conversation with Ye Xingbei and hadn’t noticed his odd behavior.
Upon hearing his thanks, Yue Yaer turned her gaze towards him. She offered him a soft smile, “It’s nothing. Please, both of you have a seat.”
Seeing her smile, soft and charming as a blooming lotus, Chi Zhan felt his heart pound like a drum.
Chi Yu pulled his stupid brother to sit down and smiled at Yue Yaer, “Dr. Yue, please don’t be so formal, we can be friends now, right? If you don’t mind, you can call me Brother Chi or Brother Yu in the future.”
He patted Chi Zhan’s shoulder, “You can simply call him Ah Zhan.”
“Yes,” Chi Zhan nodded, “Dr. Yue, don’t be a stranger. In the eyes of my brother and I, you’re like Qingqing, our younger sister. You’ve helped us so much. We will surely cherish you as much as we cherish Qingqing in the future.”
Chi Yu rolled his eyes internally.
What a foolish little brother he had.
To call her sister?
You can’t even take your eyes off the girl and you want to call her sister?
Yue Yaer thought their politeness resulted from their appreciation for her diligent care for their sister, so she didn’t have any doubts. She smiled and said, “Okay, Brother Yu, Ah Zhan, we’re friends now.”
Having been in contact for some time, she liked Chi Yu and Chi Zhan’s personalities.
They were not soft-hearted when they needed to be ruthless, yet when it came to their own family, they were wholeheartedly devoted, caring deeply for every little detail.
She had seen Chi Zhan squatting, helping Chi Qing adjust her pant legs, taking care over the task and speaking gently just like someone would to a child.
She stood near Chi Zhan and Chi Qing, watching in a daze for a long time.
Her mind was full of the happy memories of her own family of three when her mother was still alive.
There were no earth-shattering stories, just these daily tidbits of warmth which made her believe the three siblings were good people.
They were worth her all-out effort to help.
Having chatted with Chi Yu and Chi Zhan for a while, she gradually furrowed her brows, her gaze fixating more intently on their faces, her expression growing more serious.
She was a very traditional girl. When conversing with men she didn’t know well, her eyes would always focus on areas below their chins.
When not in conversation, her eyes would seldom linger on them.
Even though she had been talking to Chi Yu and Chi Zhan for a few minutes before Gu Junzhu and Ye Xingbei had arrived, her attention had been focused entirely on Chi Qing. She hadn’t paid any attention to Chi Yu or Chi Zhan.
She had glanced at Chi Zhan by accident just now, and felt that his complexion was unusually poor.
