“He’s the younger brother of my woman’s good friend.” Beiming Han didn’t bother to beat around the bush. He didn’t believe that Beiming Yu, having arrested someone, wouldn’t know what was going on.

He did not miss that glimmer in Beiming Yu’s eyes.

Beiming Yu knew Beiming Han was smart, and he enjoyed dealing with intelligent people.

What was more interesting to him was that Beiming Han never hesitated to admit, in front of him, that a certain girl surnamed Gu was his woman.

“Your Excellency, what crime did Bai Mo commit for the guard to be used to capture him? ” Bai Jingqing asked, losing his patience.

“Treason.” Being straightforward since Beiming Han had brought it up, Beiming Yu had nothing to hide.

Upon hearing Beiming Yu’s words, both Beiming Han and Bai Jingqing were taken aback. Treason was no minor crime.

“How could it be? How could Bai Mo commit such an act? He’s just an ordinary high school senior!” Bai Jingqing panicked, standing up hastily, but quickly realized he had lost his composure.

Beiming Yu waved his hand for the guard to close the study room’s door. Now, only the three of them remained, surrounded by the aroma of tea and wafts of smoke. Yet, the atmosphere was exceptionally heavy.

“Your Excellency, may I see Bai Mo? I would like to speak with him,” Bai Jingqing requested.

“According to the rules, it’s not allowed… but I’ll make an exception. You can visit him tonight,” Beiming Yu thought for a moment before agreeing.
