- Chapter 1 - Don’t Look for the Villain who Left Chapter 1
“Last time it was Viscount Aridant’s young Master, who is it this time? Now it’s his Majesty the Third Prince? Have you really gone crazy?”
Countess Redyne screamed.
“How can a young noble lady not have any dignity, every man…”
Seishia was just standing in front of the Countess, who couldn’t speak.
I was not going to hear you say no anyway.
For a long time already, her reputation has been buried on the floor, as it is quite natural.
Count Redyne’s young lady.
It’s not enough to flirt with any man and spend the night, so the young Lady enjoys public places, day and night.
Seishia, the shame of the Redyne family, who is not satisfied with even a single man and buys all kinds of goods.
“Get out of this house!”
It was only a day after I made up my mind that I would leave this mansion if I heard this five more times.
She turned around.
“Yes, I will leave.”
There is no need to be patient anymore.
There is only her stepmother who screams at her to get out of here anyway, and her family who uses Seishia as if it’s a given.
Having lived as an aristocrat for her entire life, it would be difficult for her to live outside.
But nonetheless, she decided to leave.
“Wha, what?”
I heard the faint voice of the Countess. Seishia replied without looking back at her.
“I’m leaving this mansion.”
“Where are you going? Can’t you go back into your room right now?”
Followed by the Countess the rant continued.
Seishia thought there would be no place to go except this mansion, but she only had to go outside.
However, Seishia had no regrets left in this house anymore.
To be precise, there was no regret in this noble life. I’m fine with having a hard life every day, as long as I can go anywhere.
At least to a place other than this hell.
So she finally decided.
To end this 23 years of suffering.
* * *
The night Seishia said that, she put her plan into action.
Getting out of the mansion was easier than I thought.
It was because the Countess Redyne thought that Seishia’s words were just empty promises, so the Countess didn’t even warn anyone.
Thanks to this, she was able to secretly escape from the Countess during the gatekeepers’ shift.
She arrived at a rural village with a shabby carriage.
“What’s your name?”
“My name is Shar.”
She introduced herself under a pseudonym to the mayor there.
This is a common name. Shar. But the mayor looked her up and down.
“No family name?”
“Yes.”
“Then you’re not an aristocrat?”
The mayor thought she was suspicious.
Seishia, who was unable to conceal her aristocratic appearance from her face to her feet, was like a foreigner in a village where only commoners lived.
“Are you from a fallen noble family?”
The answer was correct except that the family did not fall.
The villagers didn’t like her.
“What? Do you know how to heal the wound?”
However, the people, who were afraid, accepted Seishia.
Coincidentally, she noticed that she had excellent treatment skills.
“I have an empty house, you can stay there, and I won’t kick you out of town.”
The mayor said with confusion.
“We don’t actually have any outsiders here because the residents only live here with a few family members, especially…”
The major’s eyes were full of greed. She (Shar) seemed naive enough to be used as a doctor here and there.
Seishia looked at him and made a decision.
After adjusting to the atmosphere among the commoners here, she would move to another village far away.
There she will be able to skillfully hide that she is an aristocrat.
“This herb grows well anywhere in the shade, so you can look for it in the backyard of the house.”
Anyway, the warehouse that the mayor gave away was Seishia’s treatment center.
The farmer who stopped by the treatment center laughed, saying thank you.
“Oh, I’m alive thanks to Sha. It was uncomfortable because there were no doctors in our village.”
At that, Seishia cleared the cupboard without a word.
“By the way, Shar has no intention of getting married yet?”
This was asked by every visitor to the treatment center.
Seishia clearly heard a conversation between people someday.
‘If you’re from a ruined noble family, wouldn’t you still have money?’
‘Look at the clothes she’s wearing. Doing what she wants to do… When she first came here, she asked you to keep her immigration a secret, didn’t she?’
‘Maybe, she is a young lady who ran away from her noble family.’
‘That’s great. If you do well and get married….’
Listening to the conversation, Seishia thought that she should move to another village as soon as possible.
“Not yet.”
“Is that so? My son really likes Shar.”
The farmer laughed, revealing his yellow teeth.
“That child is struggling because he doesn’t have a mother, but when a true woman like Shar comes into the house…”
“If you keep saying that, I will stop treating your knee.”
Seishia put a disinfecting cloth that was healing the wound on the farmer’s knee and squeezed it, the farmer screamed from the pain.
“Ahhhhhh! What strength!”
“The disinfection is over.”
Seishia skillfully started bandaging the knee.
She bandaged it all up before the farmer could say anything.
“The cost of treatment is four silver coins.”
“Four silver coins?”
The farmer frowned.
“All you need for this treatment is the cloth you find at home, and what the hell is with the medicine, you said you can pick it from the mountain behind you so why is it so expensive?”
“It’s impossible to do a treatment without specialized knowledge of what medicines you need, where to put it and how to use it.”
Seishia faced the situation calmly.
The farmer clapped his hands. The knee must have already been healed, he said, jumping up from the seat.
“I can’t give it to you like that! If a person gave me a house in a village, I have to be sincere… Oh!”
However, Seishia’s treatment was not over yet.
When the man fell back into the chair after trying to walk, she got up and went to the corner of the treatment center.
Then I took out the crutches that had been made of wood and strings.
“I think you have to pay for the treatment.”
“This…!”
The farmer sharpened his teeth. But I couldn’t help it.
You can’t walk properly without crutches, and the crutches are in Seishia’s hands.
Eventually, only after the farmer put four silver coins on the table, Seishia handed him the crutches.
“I will tell the mayor everything about this”
He tried to walk out on crutches. Seishia looked at it, and said.
“It doesn’t matter what I tell you, but if you wear crutches in your armpits, you may have crutches paralysis due to pressure on your armpit nerves.”
“What is that!”
The farmer screamed. Seishia replied right away.
“The upper body is paralyzed.”
The farmer stopped and turned to her.
Seishia was the only one in this village who could properly treat a paralyzed upper body…
“…Then how should I deal with it?”
“You’re not going to tell the mayor?”
“I won’t, I won’t tell him!”
It doesn’t matter if you tell him anyway.
Seishia approached him and taught him how to use crutches, and then chased him out from the treatment center.
Rattle!
Seishia sighed briefly as the door of the treatment center closed.
Commoners have a bad impression of the nobility.
It was natural that many nobles were not interested in the people of my estate.
Even if the monsters attack, and people get injured, knights will not come to help.
However nobles lead a comfortable life profiting from the commoners hard work while they stay in a safe place without any hardships.
Since that is the perception of commoners, there was no way to treat Seishia, who looked like a noble, nicely.
“I have to move quickly.”
With the money earned so far, it is possible to travel to another village in a carriage.
“Ugh.”
Seishia rose up.
Even if the villagers came into her home, she was more free than she was in the mansion. She smiled lightly.
Rather than being used by her family and suffering from harsh rumors, it was much better to decide where to go now.
When she was staying with Count Ridyne, she couldn’t even imagine a life with no worries.
“Then, I will close the treatment center for today…”
Seishia looked outside as the sun was setting.
She locked the front door and approached the back door. The door was slightly open to get rid of the smell of herbs in the house.
“…?”
I was going to close the door, but I could see something through the gap.
Black…clothes?
“Huh?”
Why are the clothes on the floor?
Surprised, Seishia looked through the door
“Oh my god.”
The blond hair that shines in the light of sunset was bloody. His clothes were black, so she couldn’t see him well, and the man’s body smelled like blood.
A man with a big wound in his abdomen was lying on the floor.
“Are you okay?”
She quickly patted the man on the shoulder. Even at a glance you could tell that the man was close to death.
“…!”
Seishia confirmed that there were no broken bones on the man’s body, and then dragged him into the house.
It would be unreasonable to put an unconscious adult man on a bed with her strength. However, she thought the house would be better because it was warm.
“You…”
The man said in a small voice. It seems like he got his conscious back.
Seishia grabbed the flinching man’s hand.
“Be still.”
Then the man, with cloudy eyes, tried to shake off Seishia’s hand.
It was common for sick patients to be extremely vigilant, Seishia looked at the man calmly.
Meanwhile, the man tried to push Seishia away. Then he grabbed the wound on his abdomen.
“…!”
I could see him biting his white lips and holding back his pain. The wound in the abdomen was in serious shape.
“Do not touch the wound and stay still!”
Seishia removed his bloody hand from the wound, but the man repeatedly held the wound.
Besides, the bloody fingertips were strangely blue. At first glance, it was also purple.
Seishia stopped. He doesn’t only have wounds, he may have been poisoned as well.
“Get your hands off the wound!”
It was when Seishia spoke.
Clear blue eyes were revealed through the golden eyelashes of the man who barely opened his eyes.
The man who looked at her with a blurry gaze shook his head.
“If you come close… you can’t.”
Those were his barely spoken words.
And again, she could see him grabbing the wound. He will suffer from pain and die from doing that.
Moreover, no matter how he overcomes the poison, he might get sick if he holds the wound with such a dirty hand.
Eventually, Seishia got up and brought her gloves and bandages.
“It’s for treatment, so be patient.”
Seishia put on gloves on her hand and unwrapped the bandage.
Then she bandaged the man’s wrist and tied it to a pillar on one side of the wall.
