It’s Love, I Think This Is Love
Obviously, this is love!
On the second day in S City, they all walked into an ancient alley together.
Stepping on the bluestone slab, no one knew what Jiang Yan thought of at that moment but she suddenly had a smile on her face. As she looked up, she saw that all the gazes were looking right at her. As such, she took the initiative to explain.
“I remembered an article I had read before, and it was similar to this. I think it’s pretty good.”
Gu Chu blinked. “You don’t say… that article?”
Jiang Yan looked at her eyes for a few seconds, and smiled tacitly. “Yes, that article!”
The two of them laughed to themselves.
“I seem to know which one it is,” Ling Guang suddenly said, looking at Jiang Yan with a bright smile.
Shi Qiu shook his arm and asked, “Which one?”
He smiled, and calmly pulled his arm out of her grip, and blinked. “Guess.”
Shi Qiu pursed her lips, her face was a little sullen. Seeing that Gu Chu had already taken Jiang Yan to the nearby snack bar, she looked at Xue Hangyi, who had not uttered a word. “Do you know?”
Xue Hangyi’s eyes were lingering on Jiang Yan as if he didn’t know that Shi Qiu was asking him. He walked into the snack bar without even blinking.
Having hit a wall, Shi Qui looked a little awkward. She wanted to say something to Ling Guang, only to find that he had already gone into the small shop. She bit her lip and finally followed into the shop.
The small snack shop housed all local specialties. Gu Chu pulled Jiang Yan, pointed to the snacks and introduced them one by one. The latter gulped.
Ling Guang smiled at the sight of the pair of girls. “If you want to eat, buy it. Both your heads are about to stick into the glass cabinet.”
Gu Chu nodded vigorously. “Yes, yes! Come on! Ginger, what do you want to eat? Is this okay?” As she spoke, she pointed her finger at the food in the glass cabinet, and glanced sideways at Jiang Yan.
Jiang Yan nodded. “Yes!”
“What about this one?” Gu Chu pointed again.
Jiang Yan nodded. “Okay!”
“This?”
“En!”
When Gu Chu pointed to the fifth item, Xue Hangyi sighed, went to the counter, and said to the clerk, “Hello, [I want] each of them…,” he glanced back and continued: “Five packages.”
Jiang Yan turned around at the words. “We can’t eat that much, right?”
Xue Hangyi chuckled as he took out his wallet and looked at her with playfulness. “I bet someone can eat forty in one go—”
Before he could finish the words, Jiang Yan rushed to cover his mouth and stared at him scowlingly. “Don’t say it!”
Xue Hangyi was 1.88 meters tall and a whole twenty meters taller than Jiang Yan. So when she covered his mouth, she was half hanging on his body. In the eyes of the onlookers, it looked as if it was just a little play between lovers.
“Okay, I won’t say.” He took her hand off his mouth, held it tightly, and smiling at the clerk said, “I’m sorry, three is enough.”
The clerk understood well and did not say anything. After all, packing up the whole store was quite a rarity.1
Five people sat by the window on the second floor of the shop. The exquisite snacks were quickly served. Jiang Yan and Gu Chu probably cared about Ling Guang’s presence so were quite elegant in their eating.
Shi Qiu was still leaning against Ling Guang. After eating for a while, she would point to something that she was eating, and say to Ling Guang, “This is good, you can try it.”
Xue Hangyi was next to Jiang Yan, as he looked at the actions of the couple, he scooped a spoonful of sweetened beans and brought them near Jiang Yan’s mouth. “Baby, open your mouth–“
Jiang Yan subconsciously opened her mouth. The sweet and cool beans filled her mouth. She stared at the bowl of sweetened beans in surprise and nodded. “Well, this is delicious!”
Xue Hangyi proudly said, “It’s natural, I tried it myself, and of course the best one is for you.”
Finding that his tone felt a little wrong, Jiang Yan glanced at him a little confused.
On the side, Gu Chu couldn’t help but yell, “God, my waifu is so sweet, really good at torturing a single dog!”
Ling Guang frowned inadvertently, Shi Qiu frowned as she stared at him.
After eating, while they were going downstairs, Shi Qiu suggested going to karaoke to sing. They all agreed saying that they didn’t have a problem. Jiang Yan coughed softly with an unnatural face. Xue Hangyi and Ling Guang both glanced at her, puzzled.
Only Gu Chu guffawed for she was the only one who knew how “beautiful and melodious” Ginger’s singing was.
“What’s the matter?” Xue Hangyi asked softly, walking beside Jiang Yan.
Jiang Yan shook her head, there was a blush on her face. “No, let’s go.”
When a few more people had also stepped out of the snack bar, Gu Chu came to an abrupt halt.
A big boy stood before them, wearing a light blue shirt. However, he didn’t seem belligerent. On the contrary, he was of a sunny disposition, handsome with the breath of youth.
“Senior.” Gu Chu’s face flushed, and she didn’t even speak as loud as usual
“Gu Chu.” The boy greeted and glanced at the people behind her. “Come out with classmates?”
Gu Chu shook her head but then nodded again. “Well, hanging out with internet friends.
“Have fun.” He then said pointing to a shop, “I’m going in first, friends are waiting.”
Gu Chu quickly responded and stepped aside.
“Who is he!” There was a strong gleam of gossip in Jiang Yan’s eyes. Xue Hangyi looked at her and smiled.
Gu Chu coughed, and the blushing gradually faded. “It’s my senior, the school grass!”
“Tsk!” Jiang Yan sighed and patted her shoulder. “How’s life being involved with a school grass-level character! Youngster, hold on to him tight!”
Shi Qiu also chimed in, “Yes, Classmate Xiao Yu’er, don’t take it carelessly!”
In their opinion, she was quite young after all [compared to them], so Gu Chu blushed again.
After a pause, she nodded confidently. “Okay! Then I will try to catch up with Senior Zheng Ye!”
As soon as the voice fell, a chuckle drifted from behind. “Eight hundred meters, two minutes and twenty seconds. “
A startled Gu Chu quickly turned around to find Senior Zheng Ye holding her arms and smiling at her.
Before she could speak, Zheng Ye said, “Practice well,” and turned to enter the small shop.
Gu Chu didn’t understand what he meant by “practice well”, she froze for a while before she recovered from the calls of Jiang Yan and Shi Qiu.
As she walked forward, Jiang Yan asked, “How fast are you running?”
Gu Chu glanced at her and said, ” Similar to a tortoise.”
Jiang Yan slapped her shoulders. “You have a long way to go. Jiā yóu2!”
Gu Chu was not sure what she meant by that and said,”What the heck?!”
Jiang Yan smiled. “I hope you catch up quickly with your school grass senior!”
Gu Chu’s face flushed again.
While Jiang Yan teased Gu Chu all along the way to the karaoke, Xue Hangyi doted on her on the side… even as she watched Shi Qiu and Liang Guang getting intimate with each other.
Inside the KTV private room, Jiang Yan sat aside obediently, listening to Gu Chu, Shi Qiu, and Ling Guang taking turns to sing.
Shi Qiu took Ling Guang to sing a love song. Jiang Yan felt empty in her heart as she listened. At this moment, Xue Hangyi stood up, walked to the jukebox and clicked on a song, then walked to Jiang Yan and pulled her to her feet.
“Let’s sing a song together.” He smiled, trying to warm her a bit.
Jiang Yan was a little flustered. “I… I can’t sing!”
“You definitely can!” Gu Chu shouted from the side, “It’s a children’s song!”
The music began, its melody was light and cheerful, Jiang Yan couldn’t help but bend the corner of her mouth.
I just want to pamper you, is this counted as love…
Xue Hangyi affectionately sang a children’s song, Jiang Yan looked at his eyes, laughed, and sang with him.
There is a light, warm and warm sprinkling …
After the song, Jiang Yan was in a good mood. She tilted her head and asked Xue Hangyi, “You can sing this kind of song!”
Xue Hangyi smiled. “If you like it, of course, I will.”
I want to share every happy moment with you, but it’s a pity that you are not there with me. I think this is love.
Obviously, it was love.
