Doomsday Bunker Upgrade - Chapter 34
Chapter 34: Deciding Upgrading Plans
Chen Xin stared at the two plans on the system and analyzed them.
The first plan was not hard to understand, a defense level up meant upgrading the build quality of the bunker.
Chen Xin knew if he picked this route, he could avoid disasters. Small earthquakes, fire, landslide, etc. would no longer threaten his safety.
As for the options of increasing comfort and technology in bunker level up +1, it was to increase his lifestyle quality.
Upgrade Plan A was meant to be chosen for someone who lived in the bunker alone. It could benefit him.
Chen Xin felt like this plan was more suitable for him right now.
He was living in the bunker alone so he did not need to expand his bunker.
Upgrade Plan B was not entirely useless to Chen Xin. It might come in handy in the future when he had a girlfriend or a wife. Why would he spend the rest of his life alone?
More members meant more tasks could be done too. For example, if he had enough manpower, he would expand his greenhouse farm, turn it into a real big farm to plant vegetables and even fruits.
It would not only improve his living conditions, but he could also trade for more resources.
Chen Xin could tell it was a waste to rely on survival points to upgrade.
He would rely on a second way to upgrade from now on. He would try to gather more items for upgrades so that he could reserve his survival points.
The 12000 survival points could be reduced. If Chen Xin could gather a ton of high-quality steel and twenty bags of cement, he could reduce the survival points required by ten percent.
Ten percent might not sound like much for something that required few survival points, but for a big project like this, ten percent meant saving 1000 survival points! Chen Xin could build a room with that.
Chen Xin could not afford the general bunker upgrade. The rest of the content in his excel form was a room upgrades list.
“Modular Container Room — Bedroom, upgrade required 3000/4500 survival points.”
“Modular Container Room — Living room, upgrade required 3500/4200 survival points.”
“Modular Container Room — Washroom, upgrade required 800/1200 survival points.”
“Modular Container Room — Switchroom, upgrade required 2000/3200 survival points.”
There were four modular container rooms in his bunker, they were also his main activity space.
The more expensive upgrades were the bedroom and the living room. The cheapest would be the washroom.
Chen Xin expected the washroom to be cheap, after all, it was just a small room next to the bedroom. The washroom contained a complete set of toiletries. It was basically like a normal washroom in a motel, it was decent.
Even though the upgrade was cheap, Chen Xin was satisfied with what he had so far.
The bedroom and the washroom were his priority despite being expensive, they were his main activity space.
After all, Chen Xin already secured his survival condition, it was time to improve his living conditions.
He did not forget that an improvement in his survival condition also meant an improvement to his daily round-up from the system. Chen Xin could improve his survival condition by improving his living condition.
As for the switchroom, Chen Xin did not want to upgrade this room, it was unnecessary because the electric usage so far was not worth the upgrade. The switchroom upgrade was at the bottom of his list.
According to his plans, the bedroom and the living room would be prioritized for the upgrades if Chen Xin had sufficient survival points.
Unlike the bedroom, the living room could be split into different rooms.
Chen Xin wanted a kitchen, a medic room, an entertainment room, a communications room. He planned to have a study area in the bedroom too.
His kitchen items, medic items, and all sorts of electrical items were placed in his living room. It was not too shabby, Chen Xin was okay with that. However, he had the system, which required him to improve his living conditions. Chen Xin had to organize the rooms to improve his living condition.
He did not know whether he would improve his daily round-up by doing so, but it was necessary for Chen Xin to try.
Chen Xin was fine with a shabby kitchen because he was eating self-heating food. However, he wanted to stir-fry vegetables that he collected from his greenhouse farm, so he needed a better kitchen to cook better food.
A communications room was a must.
He was underground without an internet connection or any forms of communication with the outside world. The shortwave antenna was his only way to receive any outside signals. Upgrades for the communications room would greatly improve his chances of contacting the outside world.
For someone like Chen Xin who could not step out of the bunker yet, it was very important.
Chen Xin did not have social anxiety, although he was living alone and would not go to crowded places, he would still communicate with people through the internet.
However, it was the apocalypse. He would be mentally ill if he kept staying alone like this.
Even if Chen Xin could go outside when it was stable, he would not go out for no reason. He should not be communicating with others by yelling, right?
