Dragon-blooded Wizard - Chapter 23
Chapter 23 Meditation Room
“My Lord, this must be your first time coming to our Cozovo city.”
Noah nodded.
Rhea was not surprised and continued to explain, “This room is a special feature of our hotel. It is a meditation room built by an official mage. In this room, the effect of meditation can be greatly improved. It is very effective for both apprentices and official mages. Even ordinary people can use the special magnetic field in the room to strengthen their physical fitness!
Noah was just a little curious about the theory behind this room, but Kane wanted to go in and feel it when he heard what Rhea said.
As the best hotel in Cozovo city, an ordinary room in the Hila hotel cost 5 gold coins a night, while Noah’s room cost up to a magic stone a night. This was no longer a room that could be stayed with money. It could be said that this room was specially prepared for people with magical talent.
After all, mages were the noblest existences in the world.
Of course, if you were very powerful or an official knight, you could also live here.
Unfortunately, Kane did not meet either of these conditions.
That was why he was very envious of Noah. If he could stay in this meditation room for a few nights, he might really be able to advance to an official knight!
“Sir, I won’t disturb you any longer. Call me if you need anything,” Rhea said respectfully.
Noah smiled and nodded.
Seeing Rhea leave, Kane was also very tactful.
“Sir, my mission is complete. I’ll be going back now. If you need any help in the future, feel free to ask.”
Noah nodded slightly. In the past few days, Kane’s carefree character was quite likable.
After the two of them left, Noah was left alone in the room. He could not help but lie down on the soft bed. He could not even remember how long it had been since he last slept in the bed. Finally, he lay down on the familiar bed again. Noah’s eyes could not help but become a little wet.
After resting for a while, Noah sat up and took out the life core he took from Yuri.
At this moment, the life core was emitting a faint white light, like a snowflake, but also like an ice crystal. It was still cold in his hand. Since he had time now, Noah planned to try to absorb the crystal.
Hence, Noah walked into the meditation room with the life core.
The meditation room was not very big, probably less than 20 square meters. The four walls were filled with runes that Noah could not understand. The moment Noah entered the room, the runes lit up like a river and finally gathered on a purple crystal floating in the middle of the room. As the crystal emitted a dazzling purple light, Noah instantly felt his thoughts become active. Noah was curious, but he still didn’t know how to conduct a mage’s meditation.
He had only entered the room to avoid causing too much of a commotion when he was absorbing the crystals.
Thus, Noah casually found a place to sit down and took out the life core of the Ice Python.
“How did you absorb it last time?” Noah recalled the scene of the last time he absorbed the crystal and subconsciously placed the crystal on his forehead.
In an instant, the blood in Noah’s body seemed to sense the existence of the crystal and began to boil.
The crystal in his hand once again gushed out a stream of light and entered Noah’s body.
“Huh!” Noah could not help but exhale. This time, he consciously felt the process of absorbing the crystal. As he absorbed the energy from the crystal, he felt that some desire in his body seemed to be supplemented. It felt like finding a water source in the desert.
The energy in his body also increased a little as the light from the crystal was injected into him.
However, the energy in his body seemed to have reached a bottleneck. No matter how much energy was poured into it, it only increased by a little. Then, the energy began to compress itself because it could not increase. Although the total amount did not increase, the quality of each energy became higher than before.
As time passed, a wave of memories entered his mind.
Unsurprisingly, it was the Ice Python’s spell, but this time, there were two spells. Through the memory inheritance, Noah knew that one of the spells was the icicle that the Ice Python had used against them, and the other was a spell called frost breath.
The power of the frost breath was much stronger than the icicles.
It was the same as the magic he got from the giant wolf and giant bear. He could clearly sense that he could release these two spells with a thought, without the need to chant an incantation.
Was he considered a mage or not? By right, he had mastered four types of magic, and judging from the reactions of Lily and the others, he was already a first-grade mage. However, he seemed to be different from the other mages. He could cast all four types of magic.
To be honest, Noah was a little worried about his body’s abnormality and whether he would be captured for research.
However, it was useless to worry. He could only take one step at a time.
As all the magic power in the crystal was absorbed, Noah also walked out of the meditation room.
Through the window, he saw that the sky had already darkened.
It was also at this moment that someone knocked on the door.
Noah opened the door and saw Lily standing there.
At this time, Lily had changed her clothes. She had taken off her light armor and changed into an extremely luxurious long dress. She looked less heroic but more gentle and beautiful. “Follow me, I’ll take you to see someone.” Lily went straight to the point and turned to go downstairs.
Noah did not know what was going on, but he could only follow.
After the two left the hotel, Lily explained the situation.
“I’ll take you to see my teacher. He’s a second-grade mage. He’ll definitely be able to help you with the language problem.”
Noah nodded silently. Under Lily’s lead, the two came to a tower.
“This is my teacher’s mage tower. In the city, only second-grade mages have the right to build a mage tower. Lily introduced with great anticipation.
“Let’s go in.”
After that, Lily took out a spherical object and put it into the wall of the mage tower. Immediately after, a circular ripple that looked like a water wave suddenly appeared in front of him. The two of them passed through the wave and arrived inside the mage Tower.
Looking at the wave-like door, Noah felt extremely novel. As expected of the magic world, even a door was so extraordinary. After entering the mage tower, Noah curiously observed his surroundings.
The space in the tower was bigger than he had expected. The first floor where Noah and Lily were was was a room like a library, with countless shelves filled with books. In the middle of the library, there was a place that looked like a test bench. On it were tools that Noah had never seen before. Around the test bench were more than a dozen large jars soaked in green liquid, and inside the tubes were some biological specimens. For some reason, Noah was a little scared when he saw this scene. Was Lily’s teacher really a mage? He was not a Frankenstein. “Teacher, are you there? Lily’s here to see you,” Lily called out.
Suddenly, the door of one of the rooms opened, and an old man with a white beard, who was wearing a gray robe and a brown cloak, walked out.
“My dear Lily, you’re here!” The old man was also very excited to see Lily.
“This is my teacher, Leon Flos.” Lily turned around and introduced her to Noah. Hearing this, Noah bowed slightly to Leon in a reserved manner.
“Lily, who is this?”
“Teacher, I’ve come to look for you today to ask for a favor.”
