Drifting towards you - Chapter 60
Chapter 60: Chapter 60: Inappropriate
Mu Beiting’s expression remained unchanged. A few seconds later, he said, “Boiled noodles.”
Su Xiangwan sighed in relief. It wasn’t that she loved eating noodles, it was just that she had only moved in not so long ago. Since she was living alone, noodles were the most convenient and time-saving food, this was why she stored heaps of them.
“How many eggs?”
“One.”
Su Xiangwan nodded and suddenly realized they were missing someone. “Oh, where’s Chenzhou? Should I make him one too?”
Su Xiangwan looked around but couldn’t find Mu Chenzhou anywhere.
“No.” Mu Beiting opened his thin lips, his gaze deepened.
They’ve only met twice and she’s already calling him Chenzhou. He’s already slept with her twice too but he doesn’t see her calling him ‘Beiting’.
After seeing that the atmosphere tensed when she mentioned his brother, Su Xiangwan didn’t ask anymore and turned to the kitchen.
Mu Beiting took off his suit jacket and hung it up, the snow-white dress shirt made him even more noble and handsome. It took away some steadiness and coldness, making it hard for people to look away.
Su Xiangwan couldn’t help but take another look at him. However, the moment she looked again, her whole body tensed up.
After Mu Beiting took off his jacket, he walked towards the bedroom.
Since Su Xiangwan’s home wasn’t that big, it was only a one-bedroom and one-living room apartment. The sofa was in the bedroom, while the outer room only had a dining table.
Once he had just taken two steps, Su Xiangwan immediately chased after him and nervously blocked in front of him. “Mu Beiting!”
His deep gaze fell on her small face, it was sharp yet deep. He could clearly feel her uneasiness and panic.
Mu Beiting narrowed his eyes without making a sound.
“Wait outside… After all, the bedroom’s still my personal place. It’s inappropriate for a man like you to just walk in.” Su Xiangwan pretended to remain calm and tried to stop him.
She just remembered that she hadn’t cleaned up some things in her room yet.
If he were to see them, she would die.
She mustn’t let him in no matter what!
The air around him grew colder. His gaze leapt over her head and fell in the direction of the bedroom, clearly wanting to investigate.
Su Xiangwan quickly closed the bedroom door and stood in front of the door, smiling. “Mr. Mu, how about you just wait in the living room? The noodles will be done very soon.”
Mu Beiting looked at her deeply and didn’t force it. He turned around and sat in front of the dining table.
Su Xiangwan secretly let out a sigh of relief. She glanced at him to reassure herself before returning to the kitchen.
Several times during this period, she restlessly kept sticking her head out. After seeing that he was still actually sitting at the table, she finally began to completely feel relieved.
She took out an egg from the fridge. She briefly hesitated, and then took out another one.
Even though Mu Beiting said to not bother making one for Mu Chenzhou, you still couldn’t write two Mu’s with one stroke. What if Mu Chenzhou came back halfway and there wasn’t any for him? Wouldn’t that be pretty awkward?
Thinking like this, Su Xiangwan prepared to make enough noodles for four times her own serving size.
After all, these two vigorous and lively big men’s appetites had to be at least two times her own.
If Mu Chenzhou didn’t come back, she could still eat some and she wouldn’t have to waste too much.
“Woof! Woof!”
When the water was boiling, Er Bing suddenly started barking.
When Su Xiangwan stuck her head out again to take a look, her heart tightened, she then hurriedly dropped the kitchen knife and ran out.
“Mu… Mu Beiting…”
At this moment, her bedroom door was wide open.
Mu Beiting was still sitting still at the dining table, except this time, he had a magazine in his hand.
Su Xiangwan almost seemed like a pupil who got in trouble. She clasped her hands together and stood next to him in embarrassment. Mu Beiting, however, was like a teacher marking homework, flipping through the magazine without any rush.
