Duke’s Beautiful Tailor - Chapter 19
Chapter 19
May, who was called in by Jerome, opened her mouth as soon as she heard the explanation. But she quickly understood the situation.
“Okay, miss. I’ll help you. I always cut my brother’s hair so I can do it well.”
May, as strong and determined as Helena, spoke softly. She changed Helena’s clothes to make it easier to cut her hair and then combed her hair neatly.
“Cut it as short as possible, May. And even if it makes me look suspicious, they won’t think of me as a woman.”
“I understand.”
May nodded and carefully cut Helena’s hair.
“Your hair is quite long, so we can make as many wigs using this. It’s your original hair, so it won’t be awkward using it as your own wig.”
At May’s words, Jerome’s face, which was about to burst into tears at any moment, brightened a little.
“That’s a good idea, May. I didn’t think of that. Then I’ll go to the wig professionalist as soon as you’re finished.”
“Yes. Please, Jerome.”
Helena smiled brightly. But Jerome couldn’t smile like Helena and was probably upset. He looked at Helena with a gloomy face the whole time.
May, on the other hand, was very cheerful.
She did her best by braiding Helena’s long, voluminous hair together and cutting them off to create a wig.
After a while, Helena looked at herself in the mirror, standing with the hair of a young boy. She quite liked her new look.
“I thought I would cry if I cut my hair, but that’s not the case.”
Helena smiled widely as she looked around herself in front of the mirror.
“Don’t I look like a pretty handsome boy?”
“That’s right, Miss. You are a pretty handsome young man.”
Jerome was in tears.
However, Helena and May seemed to be having fun as if they were going to a masquerade.
Helena put on the men’s clothes Jerome had brought, and soon a young man at first glance appeared. Helena looked at herself in the mirror again, curiously.
In the mirror, there was a handsome young man who had not yet completely removed traces of a baby. His skin was clear and clean, and his big eyes were sparkling. Oh, the densely beautiful nose and lips emphasized the image of a boy who had not yet grown up. He was a young man whom a noble lady would covet and want to keep by her side.
“Look- this isn’t pretty bad. On the contrary, I really like it a lot. Isn’t it much better than a woman’s disguise?”
This one is better than she thought.
Helena smiled, thinking that she looked handsome. It was very enjoyable. She didn’t know that just shortening her hair would make her feel so light. She was so bright and lively that even Jerome laughed.
“How’s my work, Miss?”
“It’s the best. I really like it. Thanks. Whoa, May. But is it okay? What if they found something of it to be suspicious?”
“I assure you, the duke will not have any doubts.” At May’s words, Helena turned to Jerome.
“I don’t see anything particularly odd about it.”
“Okay, then I think this is enough. Bring the duke’s clothes, just in case. I’ll have to check the sample clothes, fabrics, and subsidiary materials. Can you bring it to me one more time?”
