Duke’s Beautiful Tailor - Chapter 20
Chapter 20
“Will has it all already.”
“I’ll check it out though. Not because I don’t trust Will, but because I’m so nervous. I’ll have to practice in advance on how to talk to the duke while organizing it step by step.”
As Helena said so and ran out of the room, Jerome let out a long sigh.
“Butler, don’t be so upset. Miss’ hair will grow back quickly.”
“Yes, I guess so.”
Seeing his dark face, May thoughtfully consoled him, and Jerome nodded quietly.
While Helena was shivering in anxiety, preparing to visit the duke’s house, she went directly to town to make a wig.
It was fortunate that Helena was smiling, but Jerome’s heart was still heavy. He was worried about what to say after Raynor Stud recovered from his bed. The master might find himself in an embarrassing situation after knowing that his daughter had cut her hair short and roamed around the street in them.
Fortunately, Helena’s sacrifice of cutting her hair was rewarded. This is because the Duke of Bronant ordered the clothes as scheduled and paid for the cost in advance.
With this, {Book of Knights} was back on its feet.
They were able to put out the urgent fire.
…
…
….
It has been three days since Helena officially received the order from the duke. Helena and Jerome went to the bank this morning. There was still time until the deadline, but she couldn’t relax until she paid off the bill using the deed of credit she had received from the duke.
When Helena, who had completely solved the bill problem, returned home with Jerome humming, a letter had arrived. It was the news she had been waiting for.
It was a letter from {Rose Garden}, Betsy, the hairdresser and a wig craftsman, who handles the hair of noble ladies.
It was written in the letter that the wig was finished. Jerome, who had been begging Betsy to make the wig as quickly as possible while putting money on it, worked away at it in a month.
“Now, you can walk around like before.”
Jerome returned to the mansion, hugging the paper box containing the wig as if it were the most precious thing in the world. As he passed the small garden, he was smiling happily.
Originally, Helena was always busy participating in various social gatherings. There were only a handful of days she was at home doing nothing.
However, after cutting her hair, she used her father’s injury as an excuse to refrain from going out and making clothes.
She was so engrossed in it.
Of course, making the duke’s clothes was the most important task at hand. But Jerome couldn’t stand it because Helena couldn’t even go out for a walk and was locked up in the house.
Now that the wig is complete, his miss will be able to go outside again like before. Rejoicing at that fact, Jerome gently caressed the box he was holding.
As soon as he entered the mansion, Jerome found a familiar face who had visited Stud’s mansion. A clean and neatly dressed young man was waiting for him.
He was a young man whom the Countess of Cashford always had by her side and served as a servant. “Hello, butler.”
