- Chapter 89-1 - Escaping the Archduke of the North’s Obsession Chapter 89-1
After eating with His Highness, Isabella visited the medicine room in the annex.
As soon as she entered, the servants greeted her by bowing and curtsying.
Isabella walked past them awkwardly as all of them tried their best not to meet her eyes.
Then, she witnessed people organizing the items in the medicine room according to Anna’s instructions.
Flustered, Isabella approached Anna.
“Anna.”
“Oh, you’re here? You must have been surprised. His Highness commanded us to move everything in this room to the first floor.”
“His Highness did?”
“Yes, please go to your room and rest, My Lady. I’ll just inform you when we’re done.”
It was awkward for Isabella to see Anna treat her like this.
“Then, please have a cup of tea with me. There’s a lot of things I want to talk about.”
Anna might have been secretly upset with her.
The maid might have considered herself foolish after the sudden shift in Isabella’s relationship with the Archduke when she just admitted that day that she had nothing to do with him.
But this was unexpected for Isabella, too.
After hearing about the rumors, she had never dreamed that the Archduke would recklessly approach her.
Isabella initially thought that he would avoid her afterward.
The man was unexpected in this regard, both in the past and present.
“You wanted to have tea with me?”
“Yes, please make time for me, Anna.”
“All right, My Lady.”
After conversing with Anna, Isabella left the annex and entered her new bedroom.
It still felt uncomfortable to face the servants every time they greeted her politely by bowing their heads.

She only wanted to go to her room and rest.
Isabella climbed the stairs to the second floor and found Marc standing in front of her room.
He approached her with a pleasant face.
“Butler Marc.”
“Here you are, My Lady.”
She already knew it wouldn’t work if she told him to speak comfortably.
She had no idea what Duke Kyar told them to do because her words never worked.
“Were you waiting for me?”
“Yes, I was waiting for you. I have a letter from Princess Seria.”
Marc held out an envelope to Isabella.
“Thank you for bringing it yourself.”
“It’s something I have to do. From now on, I will manage your schedule myself.”
“Butler Marc?”
Isabella’s eyes widened in surprise.
“His Highness requested it. We will have to visit a seamstress and a jeweler this afternoon.”
“What?”
“His Highness’ ordered me to bring you there. If you have another schedule at that time, please inform me immediately.”
Isabella had no idea why the Archduke had done this again.
“Would you be glad to come in for a while?” Isabella asked, and Marc shook his head with a smile.
“His Highness would hate it if he knew I had a good time with you. I am busy, so don’t ask to spend time together no matter how upset you are about this.”
Isabella tried to smile at Mark’s whisper.
“Then I’ll see you in the afternoon.”
“Yes, butler Marc. Take care.”
“Take care of yourself too. Duke Kyar is not easy to deal with, but I think you will do well.”
Mark left those encouraging words behind.
Three hours had passed since she woke up, but things were already rushing like a storm.
Isabella entered the room, holding Seria’s letter tightly in her arms.
Then, she saw Ignis basking in the sun in front of a large window.
“Do you like it, Ignis?”
“Yes! I love it! The sun is the best here!”
Isabella looked at Ignis and smiled before sitting at the table and opening Seria’s letter.
Isabella felt warm and fuzzy the instant she saw Seria’s handwriting.
<How are you doing, sister? I wonder if you have made progress with Duke Kyar. I’m using all the medicine you gave me as a gift, and the skin supplements have worked well. I wanted to repay you for that, so I bought some herbs at the medicine shops here in Arpeon that are hard to get at Rubella. I hope you like them. This should arrive soon. If you need more herbs, please let me know anytime.>
She wondered if she had to start building research institutes all over again.
If Seria chose to build them instead of her, Isabella would surely invest in them.
<Sister, I think it would be good to establish your pharmacy here in Arpeon. What do you think? I spend my time here doing nothing, and I’m getting bored. I’ll be glad to help you with your business just like before. There are a lot of things I want to discuss. If you have time, please come to Arpeon. Don’t worry. I’ll pay for your transportation. I hope that you will come here often on your days off so that we can talk about our financial plans in detail. I’m looking forward to the day I can see you again.>
Isabella was shocked after she finished reading Seria’s letter.
Did Seria want to invest in Bella pharmacy at Arpeon?
It wouldn’t be a bad idea to start there.
