“That’s not true.”
“That’s all right. You can keep all the money you make from selling your medicine. I don’t need it.”
“Really?”
“The earnings aren’t that much compared to mining the finest mana stones. I owned several of them.”
Isabella had no idea about his financial status before.
She was aware that his possessions were astronomical, but owning mines?
Duke Kyar seemed to glow all of a sudden.
“Why? Do you like me more after hearing that?”
“Yes.” Mesmerized, she answered without thinking, but then she shook her head quickly and got a hold of herself. “Oh, it’s not. I’m not a gold digger.”
“I don’t mind if you are a gold digger. I would love it if you loved me more.”
Their gazes met, and Isabella closed her eyes when his face moved closer.
Her long, thin lashes trembled.
Her lips quivered gently, expecting a kiss from him.
When Isabella felt his breath touch her lips, she clenched her fists and squeezed her eyes shut.
“Take a good rest, Isabella.”
She heard him say, and Isabella opened her eyes.
Swallowing a chuckle, Duke Kyar combed her hair with his big hands, got up from the sofa, and headed toward the door.
Isabella could only stare at his back in a daze when he opened the door and walked out.
She blushed in chagrin when she recalled closing her eyes and waiting for him to kiss her.
“I’ have gone mad! Why did I close my eyes right there?”
She thought he would kiss her when his face got too close.
The Archduke must have thought she was a desperate woman when he saw that her eyes were shut.
It would have been better to assume that she loves money rather than a pervert.
Ignis clicked his tongue in annoyance as he flew to her side.
“Why did you close your eyes, Isabella?” Ignis asked. It appeared like the firebird had witnessed what she had done. “You acted like a creep. It’s insidious to see it myself! Help me wash my eyes.”
At Ignis’s nagging, Isabella raised both hands to cover her ears and sighed.

Duke Kyar closed Isabella’s bedroom door and came out.
He glanced down at his groin and bit his lip.
As soon as Isabella invited him on a trip, his member started acting strangely as if it wanted to sink into something soft and warm.
If he kissed Isabella’s soft pink lips at that moment, the last string of reason, he was barely holding unto might break.
He changed his mind about kissing her and exited her bedroom.
Duke Kyar assumed it would calm down after moving away from her, but when he glanced down at his waist for the second time, his cock fluttered.
It was so determined to show off that it was alive and well.
He could only sigh in regret as it continued to make its presence known.
How could he calm down this boiling heat?
“I have no hidden motives–” He murmured to himself as he recalled Isabella’s words.
The unpleasant statement hurt him, but he didn’t think she meant it.
Her lustful eyes came to mind when she saw him naked in the barracks.
Just the thought of that gaze made all the blood in his body rush down to his cock.
He would seduce her thoroughly until she took all those rash insults back.
He also looked forward to the hidden agendas he had planned.
Of all the conversations he had with her, only the word travel rang clearly in his mind.
They had three days left before their trip to Arpeon, and he already felt like these would be the longest days of his life.
Duke Kyar just realized how weak a human being he was when it came to Isabella.
Before he met her, he had never thought of making love to a woman, and he simply assumed that that desire was non-existent.
He was so filled with love and lust that he feared he would explode if Isabella touched it.
He moved toward the arena with his dry lips and throat.
He would have to spend more time in the arena, training until this sexual hunger disappears.
Duke Kyar was aware that his body was the only weapon that could seduce Isabella but what would he do if he was the first to collapse before he could seduce her properly?
As he entered the armament with a grim expression, the knights who were busy training there lowered their heads to greet him.
Duke Kyar examined the knights carefully and spoke, “For a long time, I want to compete with each of you in swordsmanship. Whoever wants to compete with me, come forward.”
The knights only looked at each other’s faces but nobody came forward.
Except for the power of ice, Duke Kyar’s swordsmanship skills were so excellent that no one could match them in the Empire.
“Is there no one here? Then I’ll have to pick one.”
Evan walked out in front of the Grand Duke carrying a wooden sword.
