Chapter 9: He Is My Child

There was a questioning look in Li Feng’s eyes. “What do you think caused his insomnia?”

Gu Yue’s expression stiffened for a moment. “Brother Li, why did you suddenly ask about this?”

“You’re considered a well-known doctor in the country, so I’d like to hear your opinion,” Li Feng said.

Gu Yue panicked and forced a smile, “This isn’t my field of expertise, after all. I have a few friends who are experts in this area. I’ll ask them!”

Li Feng frowned slightly. Gu Yue had always prided herself on her all-round development, so he just wanted to ask subconsciously. Why was she so nervous?

Le Yu gently kissed him. Seeing his aggrieved expression, Le Yu was amused. She pulled his little hand and said, “Okay, I’ll make an exception again tonight. You’ll be older children when you go to kindergarten. You’ll have to sleep by yourself in the future, understand?”

“Don’t be angry. I was just shocked by your ‘divine stroke’.” Jin Cheng comforted Le Yu and narrowed his eyes dangerously. “Li Feng won’t return the child to you? This matter is a little complicated. ”

Le Yu was silent for a moment. “You should have some power in B City, right? If you help me, you can decide on the reward.”

Jin Cheng chuckled. “I don’t want a reward. You can just repay me with your body! If the person you were looking for back then was me, you wouldn’t have had to go through all this trouble!” He was, of course, referring to Le Yu’s act of borrowing Li Feng’s seed.

“Stop with your glib tongue. I’m talking about serious business!” said Le Yu.

Jin Cheng pretended to be relaxed. “I understand. It just so happens that some of my work will be in Sea City. Let’s talk in detail when we meet. My treat!”
