Chapter 30 Tucker Meets the Flame Lion
Reiter’s eyes were filled with surprise. “Tsk tsk, the morning glow doesn’t leave the house, and the sunset glow travels a thousand miles! It works here? Or is it a coincidence?”
While Reiter was enjoying the sunset, the caravan kept moving forward. Finally, they arrived at a place that could barely be considered a scenic spot. It was an ordinary colored pine forest with colorful pines growing inside. Unfortunately, other than Reiter, the others often passed by and were already tired of looking at it.
Instead, the setting sun attracted more attention.
Tucker asked his father, “Should we go straight through the colored pine forest, or do we detour? A detour would probably waste an hour or so. If we go straight, we might be harassed by magical beasts.”
“There are occasional magical beasts here. In the past few years, we’ve encountered two magical beasts here,” Rylei added.
Occasionally, magical beasts would appear? Reiter stared straight ahead. He’d been wondering all day. The Flame Lion had not appeared for a long time. It seemed that it was very likely here! A look of realization flashed in his eyes. He smiled and pointed forward.
“Go forward and directly pass through! With me around, there won’t be any accidents!”
“That’s right. With Father around, what’s there to be afraid of a mere Class 1 magical beast?” With this thought in mind, Tucker rode Haig and excitedly clamped the horse’s abdomen. “Giddyup!”
Haig was stimulated. She ran gracefully on the grassland with her strong limbs and plunged into the colored pine forest. The old horse knew the way. It had been here last time when the caravan went out, so it looked familiar.
The clatter of hooves alarmed the predators in the jungle.
An old, red-haired lion supported itself on a thick colorful pine tree. Its deep pupils seemed to see food moving through the gaps between countless trees. It stuck out its tongue and licked the air, looking down at the ground like a proud king.
It was the king of the jungle here!
Even though he had been chased out of the Magical Beast Mountain Range by the young new Flame Lion King, it still had a powerful pressure outside. Three ordinary Class 1 magical beasts had already died under its claws.
Moreover, it had already defeated one of the original magical beasts in this colored pine forest, the Rock Snake, and used it as food.
From then on, two days passed and it did not encounter any delicious food.
After going out for a round during the day, it did not find anything. If it still did not catch any prey, it would even consider moving elsewhere. It was used to eating magical beasts in the Dark-Patterned Eagle branch. He was picky and was not used to ordinary wild beasts.
Looking at the target, it did not look very dangerous, but it emitted combat aura fluctuations that increased its appetite. It couldn’t wait to jump down. The moment it landed in the air, it swung its tail and accelerated, erupting like a flaming meteor.
Its aura was extraordinary, and it suppressed most Class 1 magical beasts.
Tucker, who did not realize the danger and took the lead, was very fast. He thought that he could easily pass through this colored pine forest. However, the faint growl made his hair stand on end. He turned to look at the depths of the forest on his right, and his expression. changed drastically!
“Oh no, there’s really a magical beast!” Tucker quickly adjusted his state. His eyes were filled with fighting spirit. He immediately drew his sword and held his shield tightly.
Judging from the roar, it looked like a magical beast like a lion or tiger. However, the voice was unfamiliar. He had probably never fought such a magical beast before. Yet, it did not affect his response. The best way to deal with such a magical beast was to face it head-on.
Usually, the speed and strength of such magical beasts were outstanding. If they tried to escape, they would only expose their backs and expose even greater flaws.
Neighhh~ Haig didn’t know why her master had pulled the reins. She stopped where she was and didn’t understand. She heard a series of rapid footsteps on the ground.
“Roar!”
An extremely oppressive roar echoed in the forest.
A huge flame lion with sharp claws crawled out from the depths of a few colorful pine trees. A slight cold wind blew, blowing the red hair on its body. It was like a floating flame that emitted the aura of a magical beast and had a natural pressure on wild beasts.
Haig’s brain seemed to have stopped working. Her four hooves trembled slightly. Facing the Flame Lion that was several times stronger than her and had a tough physique, this was the first time she had felt fear in her life.
Seeing this handsome black horse, the Flame Lion’s eyes lit up. It seemed to be a good dish. With a kick of its hind legs, it jumped more than three meters high. The Flame Lion pounced forward, wanting to rely on its absolute strength to quickly hunt for food.
“Come!” Tucker stepped forward and burst into a speed even faster than Haig’s long-distance run. He held a sword and shield in each hand.
Facing the oncoming Flame Lion, Tucker first straightened his sword and stabbed at it. From the looks of it, if he were to collide with it like this, the range of his thrust would definitely be greater than the Flame Lion’s forelimbs.
A look of contempt flashed in the Flame Lion’s eyes. How could it be so easily tricked? In the face of provocation, it opened its bloody mouth filled with anger. With a whoosh, the air in its mouth resonated.
Like a flamethrower, raging flames followed closely behind. The burning air was hot and exuded a scorching temperature.
Magical beasts could use their physical bodies or magic to attack.
However, the magic released by magical beasts was not necessarily the same as that of mages. They released it instinctively and relied on the source of magic crystals to consume the energy in their bodies.
Tucker was shocked, but the flames in front of him were about to spread to his body. It was too late to escape. Or rather, if he ran now, he would definitely become a human barbecue. The flames that filled the sky surrounded them tightly, carrying an aura that could melt everything.
A fierce light flashed in Tucker’s eyes. His bloodlust was aroused. In this dangerous situation, his mind fell into a strange state.
Combat aura circulated unconsciously, and he instinctively used a part of the combat technique he had just comprehended yesterday.
The method of exerting strength in his legs was an extremely brilliant technique. At this moment, it was used.
Combat aura circulated and gathered in his legs. Tucker erupted with immense strength and jumped forward. His body was almost parallel to the ground. With a whoosh, he was like a spear thrown out. However, there was a small detail to this process. He changed the position of his sword and restrained its sharpness. Instead, he used his shield to block in front of him.
With this, he resisted the burning flames and did not retreat. Instead, he advanced and collided with the Flame Lion.
Tucker’s eyes reflected a raging fire. What was burning was his tenacious will!
The Flame Lion saw that it was not the defeat it had imagined. The human blocked the flame temporarily, and its ferocity was activated again. It pulled the magic crystal with all its might, compressed its chest, and suddenly erupted again.
It let out a breath, and the flames became even more powerful.
BANG!
He had successfully approached it!
There was a heavy thud, and Tucker thought he vaguely heard what sounded like teeth snapping. Then, he also felt an extremely violent backlash. The arm supporting the shield twisted in an abnormal position, and a look of pain flashed across Tucker’s face. However, when the flames ended, he was able to fall to the ground. He took the shield away like a boorish man and prepared to charge forward again with a longsword in his hand.
He knew very well the logic of taking its life while it was down. The Flame Lion roared wildly, the pain stimulating its bestial nature. Its forelimbs struggled to prop itself up. Although its vision was blurry, it could still distinguish the target in front of it with its smell.
A dark yellow spike suddenly emerged from the ground. It pierced through the Flame Lion’s chest and accurately pierced through its heart. It seeped out of his body like a spike that grew out of the back of the Flame Lion. It was covered in blood, making one feel cold all over.
