Chapter 683: Chapter 683: Pendant_1
Alexander Summers was startled by Purple Summers’s action; he was holding a suitcase in one hand, and when he saw Purple charging at him, he quickly braced himself on the stair railing with the other!
Even though she was light and petite, Alexander still had his doubts about bearing such an enthusiastic pounce on such a long flight of stairs!
As Purple approached, she suddenly jumped on Alexander’s back, clinging to him like a koala and refusing to let go.
Alexander chuckled, “You’ve been sitting for so long on the ride here, and you still haven’t had enough? Get down quickly and walk on your own.”
“Haven’t had enough,” Purple insisted, her face buried in the nape of his neck, she shook her head vigorously, her legs tightly encircling his waist, her arms hooked around his neck, becoming an automatic decoration.
Alexander had no choice but to move forward with the burden, carrying Purple and the suitcase, and walked the entire length of the long staircase.
“How about that, your boyfriend’s got good stamina, huh?” After climbing the stairway, Alexander weighed the Purple on his back and asked her, looking for praise.
Sticking close to him, Purple pressed her mouth against his cheek, her voice sweetly burrowing into his ear, “Mm, you have the best stamina, you’re the best.”
Such words were too susceptible to being misconstrued, and Alexander felt a series of ripples in his heart; he immediately gave her bottom a firm squeeze and said suggestively, “Later, I’ll let you experience what good stamina really is.”
“Alright,” Purple didn’t scold him or get angry, but responded with a smile, “I’ll be waiting.”
Alexander felt an indescribable lift in spirits; he walked briskly, carrying a person and towing the suitcase.
Once they got into the car, Alexander couldn’t hold back anymore; he cupped Purple’s face and kissed her, taking care of the most urgent need first.
Purple responded shyly and obediently, uncharacteristically docile.
After the kiss ended, he pecked her lips again and asked with a smile, “What’s the matter, does absence make the heart grow fonder?”
Purple chuckled out loud; she had just seen him off, and here he was to pick her up—what kind of absence was that?
“Why are you here too?” She asked, her clear and moist eyes wide, her little face blushing, enchanting and endearing.
“How could I let you come here alone?” Alexander smiled, “After seeing you off, I went straight to the airport, arrived in Kingsley two hours before you, then rushed to the train station; the timing was just right.”
Purple asked, “Does Mom know you’re here?”
With a playful twist of his lips, Alexander countered instead, “What do you think?”
Just then, Purple’s phone rang; it was a call from Atra Blanc.
Purple sent Alexander an accusatory glance before answering the call.
On the other end of the phone, Atra asked, “Purple, have you arrived? How’s the weather there? I looked at the weather forecast; it said there’s a cold front coming in the next couple of days, remember to dress warmly and don’t catch a cold.”
“Yeah, I know,” Purple replied, “I just left the station and am currently on my way to the hotel.”
“Once you get to the hotel, remember to call me again,” Atra advised diligently, “Also give your brother a call, so he won’t worry. I didn’t let him go with you this time, and he seemed quite unhappy about it. If he receives your call, he should feel better.”
Although Atra seemed to dislike Alexander to his face, after all, he was her own son; how could she not be concerned for him?
Looking at Alexander, Purple said with a smile to the person on the phone, “Okay, once I get to the hotel, I will definitely give Brother a good call…”
After Atra finished advising, she hung up.
Purple stretched out her hand to pinch Alexander’s cheek, “You’re deceiving Mom again.”
“Not at all,” Alexander replied confidently, “I intended to act first and report afterwards; otherwise, want me to tell her now that I’ve come to Kingsley?”
“Stop it, do you want to keep Mom up all night worrying?” Purple thought he was being too naughty.
“Then you’ll have to suffer with me in deceiving Mom,” Alexander pulled her hand to his lips and kissed it, asking with a smile, “Purple, does this count as ‘the husband sings, the wife follows’?”
