Chapter 684: Chapter 684 Want to Kiss Just Kiss_1
Purple Summers pressed her lips together in a smile, ignored him, and quietly rested her head on his shoulder, dispelling the stagnation of the journey.
They arrived at the hotel by car.
It was the best chain hotel near the Judicial Training Institute, and although it couldn’t compare to the luxury of the Walker Hotel, it was still above five-star level. Most importantly, it was very close to the examination site.
Many candidates had already checked into the hotel. Alexander Summers paid extra to upgrade from a standard room to a deluxe room with a king-sized bed.
As night fell, just as Atra Blanc had said, a cold spell hit, and the temperature dropped significantly. The wind outside the window howled eerily, like the wailing of ghosts and wolves.
Purple Summers nestled in Alexander Summers’ arms, gazing at the night scene outside the window.
The night view of every city felt familiar; neon lights robbed the stars of their sparkle, and as far as the eye could see, there were dazzling lights and shimmering colors.
Although she was in a strange place, Purple Summers felt exceptionally secure and grounded.
She thought to herself, if Alexander hadn’t come, how would she have spent the night? Probably only with the brilliant lights before her eyes and the fierce wind beside her as she drifted off to sleep.
Purple Summers was touched, and she gently turned over to face Alexander, lifting her head to give his chin a soft kiss.
There was no particular reason; she just suddenly felt like kissing him.
The longer they were together, the more Purple Summers could understand why Alexander’s overly affectionate actions were truly involuntary. Sometimes, it was just a look, a gesture, or a thought that made one unable to resist the urge to embrace, to kiss.
Her actions preceded her thoughts, and only after regaining her composure did she realize she had kissed him.
Alexander was not satisfied with the location of her kiss. He automatically adjusted his height, lowering his head to search for her lips.
He was a bit eager, making Purple Summers laugh. She shrank back under the covers, pulling them over her head to stop him from kissing her.
Alexander dived under the covers to find her, and the two of them frolicked in the bed like children, ending up falling off the bed together, landing on the soft cashmere carpet.
Purple Summers quickly crawled out from the tangle of velvet blankets.
She was wearing a thin nightgown, and as she struggled out, one of the straps slipped down, hanging on her snow-white, delicate upper arm. Her rich, dark hair was messily scattered all around her, accentuating her slender waist and glowing skin… an enticing sight.
Alexander really wanted to pounce on her and have his fill.
As he was thinking about doing just that, Purple Summers sneezed while covering her nose.
“Achoo!…”
She immediately scrambled back, climbing onto Alexander like a little kitten, full of dependency on him.
Alexander wrapped her in the blanket and carried her, along with it, back to the bed.
“Kingsley has big temperature shifts, and these past few days have seen a sudden drop. Take a pill as a precaution so you don’t fall sick and mess up the exam,” he said.
Alexander turned around to find the medicine, remembering that Atra Blanc had packed plenty of emergency medicines in Purple Summers’ suitcase.
When Alexander returned with the medicine and water, Purple Summers hesitated.
With a smile that was more teasing than amused, she eyed Alexander, mischief in her gaze: “Are you sure it’s for preventing a cold? Could it be… you want to drug me, and then take advantage of an innocent girl in her unconscious state?”
Thump.
Purple Summers’ forehead was sharply thumped.
“Take the medicine.” Alexander promptly pinched her chin, stuffed the pill into her mouth, and then tilted his head back to take a sip of water before mouth-to-mouth feeding it to her.
Purple Summers snuggled in his arms, not sure if it was the medicine taking effect or the late hour making her sleepy, but her eyes began to droop, and she grew hazy.
“Alright, I’m about to lose consciousness, do whatever you want…” she teased Alexander right before drifting off.
Alexander held her tight, nibbling on her ear: “How could I bear to drug you? I want to hear you pant, hear you scream. Someday I’m going to make you cry until your throat goes hoarse on the bed, would you like that?”
Purple Summers jerked awake, her drowsiness instantly reduced by a third, and too scared to make a sound, she closed her eyes.
