Game of Apocalypse - Chapter 20
Chapter 20 Falling Out
“What are you talking about? When did I betray you?” Odin was beginning to get grumpy.
This person doesn’t even know anything, how can he be so sure of me betraying them?
“Don’t feign ignorance! Seeing is believing, I’m disappointed in you.” Carna was angry and sad, her eyes were filled with tears.
“Our club members saw you having a deal with Silver Snake. Odin, is the Life Emblem not enough for you?” Standing by the side, Cardory voiced out. She had decided to hand the Life Emblem to Odin but he had backstabbed her.
“Speaking of the emblem.” Odin’s fuse was blown as his tone became more furious. “Grant told me it’s impossible for me to have the Life Emblem. I wanted to ask you all, do you really have the intention of giving it to me?”
“What do you mean?! You’re the one who betrayed us, why are you questioning us instead?! We trusted you so much and were willing to give you the Life Emblem, now you’re doubting us?!” Carlot’s voice gradually became louder and attracted several members of the Ground Combat Club.
The crowd was gathering around, evidently unaware of what happened. The atmosphere was almost reaching the breaking point, so no one dared to intervene.
Closing his eyes, Odin took a deep breath, feeling disappointed. He thought he had finally found someone he could trust but the trust was broken to shards easily.
“Then, what do you want?” Odin’s voice had traces of helplessness as he did not wish to argue with the siblings.
“You betrayed our trust. So, it’s impossible to give you the emblem, and please leave the Ground Combat Club.” Cardory’s eyes were filled with disgust and impatience leaked from his expression as though refusing to talk with Odin anymore.
“I’ve told you, I did not betray you. Besides, I need this Life Emblem! Don’t forget without me, the Ground Combat Club would have been eliminated from the tournament a long time ago.” Cardory’s attitude angered Odin. Before they confirmed anything, why did they casually accuse him? Did they ever sincerely trust him before?
“You’re asking for it!” Roaring, Carlot swung his fist at Odin’s face.
The crowd was stunned by it. Fearing being injured, they dispersed immediately but did not go too far, gathering a couple of small groups. They whispered to each other as they were unsure why the four of them were still friendly with each other yesterday but fall out all of a sudden today.
Odin did not expect Carlot would suddenly take action. However, his Agility was greatly increased by the past few days’ match. Subconsciously, he strode aside, dodging Carlot’s punch.
Due to Carlot being a person that was overflowing with Qi energy, his combat skills were unique. Each punch and kick of his had a biting cold aura like the saying ‘Hurting someone first before the punch even landed.’
Layers of Qi energy burst from Carlot’s body and even the flowerpots placed on the surrounding window were trembling.
However, Odin was unafraid. Posing his combat stance, Odin waited for Carlot’s next action.
Since it was a fight they wanted, then a fight it was. Odin was not inclined on fighting with the siblings, after all, they taught him combat skills. It was as if being ingratitude to them but if they wanted to fight, Odin would disregard the past and give them a good beating!
Lifting his leg, Carlot kicked at Odin. Odin turned around and grabbed his leg from the side and viciously slammed his elbow onto Carlot’s knee.
Due to his leg being controlled by Odin, Carlot daringly straightened his leg, risking his leg being broken in ninety degrees by Odin just to escape.
Carlot was fast but Odin was faster. Barely landing on the ground, Odin’s fist was already closing in on his face. Carlot rolled backward to avoid Odin’s attack simultaneously steadying his body.
Carlot knew Odin’s learning speed and adaptability were exceptional. But he never thought their gap was this wide. Facing Odin’s attack, he could only focus on defending, unable to find a breakthrough point to attack Odin.
Odin’s techniques were swift to the point Carlot had no time to catch a breather. One side was ruthless in attacking while the other could only defend. Soon, Carlot was overwhelmed as his stamina was unable to keep up and beads of sweat formed on his forehead.
The moment Odin prepared to kick at Carlot, two forces of Qi energy suddenly came from his behind. He immediately rolled sideways, dodging the ambush.
When Odin stood firm, he saw Carna and Cardory standing in front of Carlot as he imagined. With a serious expression, both of them posed their fighting stance.
Three on one? Odin was amused by it. No matter how many came or even the entire club, Odin was eighty percent confident he could knock all of them down.
Cardory initially wanted Carlot to deal with Odin alone, if it was impossible then she would intervene. Out of her expectation, Carlot was completely suppressed by Odin, if she did not intervene, they would lose for sure.
The siblings had trained in combat skills together for countless years, their tacit understanding of each other was better than everyone else. To defeat Odin, this was the only way, Cardory could not be bothered whether or not it was fair.
Among the three, Cardory was the strongest and with the steadiest foundation. Seeing Carna retreating, Cardory jumped and stepped on Carna’s shoulder before storming forward.
Odin took a few steps and rolled to his left side but Cardory, as if knowing Odin’s trajectory, half-rolled in the midair changing her direction. It was too late for Odin to roll again, he crossed his arms, directly tanking Cardory’s punch.
An intense pain began spreading on Odin’s left arm. The huge force almost smashed his arm into smithereens but his Strength was strong, his block also caused huge damage to Cardory. Her right hand’s fingers were all purplish-green and had an ugly expression.
Currently, Carlot and Carna, one on each side, launched a pincer attack on Odin. Cardory aptly leaped into the air, swinging his punch on Odin’s top. Potent Qi energy tightly wrapped around Odin, the surrounding was too imposing to the point it was difficult to breathe.
