The night was dark, and the trees were dancing outside.
Su Yu laid Su Bei down on the bed. “Lass, did you grow fat?”
Su Bei was taken aback by surprise as she pulled over the quilt. “Mm, I have been eating a little too much lately.”
Su Yu placed her foot in his palm and gave her a gentle massage. “Beibei, your feet are getting fat too.”
Su Bei said with a smile, “Yes.”
In fact, they were swollen.
For a long time, both of them remained silent.
Finally, Su Bei spoke first. “Brother, don’t worry about the house. I’ll definitely get it for you.”
Su Yu stopped moving his hand and looked into her eyes. His eyes were full of distress. “Beibei, I was about to ask you not to buy the house. I cannot accept the house that you purchase!”
Su Bei was so anxious that she sat up. “Brother, why do you say so? What’s wrong with buying you a house when I’m your sister.”
“Save the money for your own marriage. I cannot spend your money,” said Su Yu.
Su Bei immediately cried. “You’re not treating me as your sister if you say that.”
The most unbearable thing for Su Yu was to see her cry. Instantly, he was thrown into a panic. “Beibei, stop crying. I didn’t mean it that way. You will always be my sister for the rest of my life and the next life.”
Su Bei fixed her tearful eyes at him. “Then why argue over this with me? When I get married, you can add to my dowry instead.”
Su Yu nodded and reached out his hand to wipe the tears on her face. “Okay, I got it. I’ll certainly prepare more dowries for you.”
Su Bei smiled through her tears.
It was in mid-winter, and the cold wind from the north was shaving faces just like a pair of scissors.
Over the past few days, Su Bei ran to dozens of buildings and found nothing suitable.
At this time, she was sitting on a bench in a small part of town, having her bread.
Back in the black Mercedes by the roadside, a man was fixing his long and narrow eyes on her.
After he finished all the work in the company, he suddenly decided to check on her.
Hua Jinan was not expecting such a view in front of him.
Suddenly, Su Bei felt something blocking her vision. Subsequently, she heard a somewhat cold baritone. “Is that all you eat?”
Su Bei looked up and met Hua Jinan’s displeased eyes.
“What are you doing here?” asked Su Bei
She was about to put the bread in her mouth, but it was taken away before she could have a bite.
“What are you doing?” Su Bei disgruntledly looked at the man.
The next moment, her hand was gripped by a pair of dry and warm palms. She struggled as she looked at the man who was holding her hand. “Let me go. What do you want?”
She wondered how he suddenly appeared.
The man was stern as he said, “Get up.”
Su Bei was sitting on a bench as she tilted her head and looked elsewhere. “I don’t want to. Why should I listen to you?”
“Ah!” She exclaimed when she was taken into his arms.
This man is really bossy!
“What the hell do you want? I really don’t want to fight with you. I’m exhausted after walking all day.”
Su Bei tried to struggle out of his arm, but she was too tired and weak to do so.
Hua Jinan chuckled as he stretched out to hold her little hands that were scratching his chest. He looked down at her and said, “Be good and take a rest. Otherwise, I promise you’ll get more tired later on!”
There was a vague look in his eyes when the man spoke.
Su Bei was a little stunned. What does he mean?
For a long time, she came to a realization. “I’m a pregnant woman!”
“Three months are over, and it’s okay!” His voice sounded impassive.
She almost fainted.
Su Bei immediately shut her mouth and her cheeks were flushed.
Hua Jinan placed her in the back seat of the car and sat close to her.
Su Bei wanted to move away from him, but he grabbed her waist.
Hua Jinan looked at this woman, who was glaring at him. He chuckled softly. “You better be good today. Otherwise, I won’t let you go!”
