Chapter 767: Chapter 767: Shameless
Daniel Marshall had already heard about his mother’s recovery from Aunty Wood, so he just glanced at the WeChat message sent by Grace Ziegler and then deleted it.
Pretending he hadn’t received it, Daniel Marshall did not reply to Grace Ziegler’s WeChat message.
Having been through so much, hopefully this sister would stop being so shameless and hopefully, she would learn to live a grounded life.
After taking a shower, Grace Ziegler was still staring intently at her phone.
However, she waited for a long time, but still did not receive any reply from Daniel Marshall.
Grace Ziegler couldn’t help feeling disappointed.
Even at this point, was Daniel Marshall still thinking about that woman?
Does that woman even show him any kindness or regard? With a condescending attitude, her arrogance is quite breathtaking. She thinks she’s so important. Surely, Daniel Marshall should let that woman go. He deserves a better woman.
Grace Ziegler selfishly believed that she was more suited to stand by Daniel Marshall’s side, she understood how to take care of him better.
That woman didn’t deserve Daniel Marshall at all. Hopefully, Daniel Marshall would soon realize there is no need for that woman.
…
Having said what she did to David Jefferson, Olivia Jenkins was certain he understood that they were impossible.
No matter what, Olivia Jenkins still hoped that this struggling star could carve out his own world.
As a public figure, David Jefferson should avoid as many scandals as possible to prevent tarnishing his image.
Intentionally or not, Olivia Jenkins kept a distance from David Jefferson. If they needed to discuss business matters, or about filming progress, she would inform Valerie Howard to handle it.
Olivia Jenkins did this to protect David Jefferson.
Being a public figure could not withstand the assault of rumors, which would especially impact him.
Olivia Jenkins couldn’t drag David Jefferson down with her; the mistargets of those rumors were her. David was merely being exploited by some despicable little people.
Out in the countryside, especially in the summer, you could always see a sky full of stars. Olivia Jenkins looked up at all of them.
Within that starry sky, would her parents be there too? From afar, would they also be watching over her?
With no wedding, she left Serene City without saying goodbye. Her grandfather must’ve been very upset, right?
Was her grandfather angry too?
Thinking about it, Olivia Jenkins disregarded everything else. Leaving Serene City, all she wanted was some peace and quiet while also reconsidering whether to continue this marriage.
Perhaps she needed to put an end to it.
……..
Early in the morning, a few new actors arrived on set.
Olivia Jenkins hadn’t slept yet, and personally welcomed them.
She had also prepared late-night snacks for them and thanked them.
They hadn’t interacted before, but judging from their manners, these new actors seemed polite and modest. Hopefully, it wasn’t just a facade.
After finishing the late-night snacks, Olivia Jenkins chatted with everyone for a bit to get to know them. David Jefferson, despite being a big star, had no airs and also appeared at the small welcoming event.
Upon meeting their seniors, the new actors seemed humble and polite. Initially, they seemed to be getting along quite well.
It was getting late. Olivia Jenkins told everyone to rest early. In a few hours, they would have to start filming.
David Jefferson demonstrated generous mannerisms and took good care of the newcomers. Not wanting to see Olivia stressed or upset, he willingly compromised.
……..
At dawn, Olivia Jenkins was eating fried dough sticks while looking over a shooting plan.
The team was busy preparing the shooting equipment and props, while Olivia Jenkins was personally overseeing everything.
Time was of the essence and there was no room for further mistakes.
Suddenly, someone came to report, “Chief Daniel Marshall is outside, he wants to see Mrs. Marshall, and he’s brought breakfast…”
Before the person could finish speaking, Olivia Jenkins interrupted, “Tell him to leave!”
