Heavenly Lord Asura - Chapter 41
Chapter 41: The Power of a Brick
Boom, boom, boom, boom!
Bodies were flying and crashing to the ground. Wail as much as dust rose in the air.
Wutian fought dozens, yet not a scratch was on his body. Here, everyone was a genius. They came from their respective villages or clans and are the pride of their villages and clans. They did not expect that they would be defeated here.
To them, this was a humiliation, and even more like a warning: No matter how good they thought there was, there was always someone better out there. If they still thought the outside world was the same as their tiny villages and clans, where they could do whatever they wanted, then they could not be more wrong.
There was no lack of geniuses in the Samsara Continent. Besides, strictly speaking, they were considered as geniuses only in this place but nothing in the context of the entire continent.
This was the reality.
Wutian looked nonchalant, standing proudly in the center like a god. He was unscathed while others were lying on the ground, wounded, face pale, blood in their mouths with terrified and reverent expressions on their faces.
Anyone who could fight and defeat many in just a few breaths deserved the respect.
“He is too strong for us. He already defeated us without even using the essence qi. If he were to use all his strength, I am afraid we would have died.”
“Not only that, his body is solid, hitting him is akin to hitting a rock. Incredible! How did he do that?”
People were felicitated and wondering at the same time. Who was protecting them and asking Wutian not to kill anyone?
“I can’t perform what he has done. After achieving the Ninety-nine Ultimate Realm, Wutian is no longer someone whom the young generation in the Redsun Mountains could rival. He is now in the league of the geniuses of Greendragon subcontinent,” Han Tian mumbled.
He was reluctant to admit that. When he met Wutian and fought him for the first time, he lost only because he had not used his trump card at the time. But now, even if he had performed his killer move, the outcome was still the same—he still lost.
“Let me ask again, and if nobody answers, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”
Wutian looked grim, his face turning frosty. Everyone was terrified as they sensed a murderous intent in him.
“Honestly, we don’t know. When we came out of the house, we already saw her sitting in front of the house, clothes tattered and she was crying. We didn’t see anyone else around,” said a young man dressed in white. The skin on his hand peeled open and bleed profusely. He was in terrible pain.
“In fact, we also wonder why. She is so innocent and kind-hearted. Who could bear to hurt her?” People looked at Shishi on the other side of the lake. They all could not bear to see what she had gone through.
Wutian frowned. It seemed that these people were not lying. Then who could it be? Who snatched Yi?
“Could it be her?” The girl he bumped into on his way back earlier came to mind. By the looks of her attire and persona, she must have an extraordinary family background. And he had never seen her in the back courtyard.
The yellow-dress girl was enraged. “Would you now let me go, you stinky hooligan?”
As soon as he turned around, he dropped his hand from her throat, and unwittingly touched her bosom. She had not fully grown yet, but still, her breasts were pretty substantial.
As a spoiled daughter and apple of her parents’ eye, no one even dared to leer at her. Now, a stranger had grabbed her. She was furious and humiliated. Who she wished she could kill Wutian right now.
Wutian seemed to have not heard what she said. He was deep in thought.
The girl became desperate. Dozens of eyes were looking at her, making her feel even more embarrassed. How was she supposed to live her life from now on? She fought back, hoping to get away from him. Instead of letting her go, Wutian unknowingly tightened his grip on her. She could not have been more desperate as she felt pain on her bosom.
“I will kill you, bastard!” The girl went mad, then her attitude made a one-eighty turn. “It’s my fault, I won’t do that again. Please, let me go, only then think of your problem. I promise I will immediately disappear from your sight.”
“What the…”
Everyone was struck dumb with a strange look in their eyes: A woman’s heart is as fickle as the changing weather.
“I-I saw someone come out of your house this morning.” A soft voice came right then.
Wutian looked over and saw a girl dressed in red, about thirteen or fourteen, soft and long black hair cascading down her shoulders. She had a pair of beautiful eyes, light blue like the clear spring, with her long eyelashes flicking from time to time. She curled herself up on the side as if she was afraid of him.
Wutian loosened his grip and strode over to the girl.
Thud!
The yellow-dress girl was being dropped to the ground unceremoniously. She clambered to her feet awkwardly, rubbing her painful buttocks, and was about to burst out in anger. Wutian suddenly glanced back at her, his eyes glinting. She instinctively flinched, but still glaring at him. At last, she was stared down. She pouted and ran toward the First Heaven House.
Wutian retracted his attention and came up in front of the girl in a red dress. “You saw it?”
The girl in a red dress dared not look at him in the eyes. “While I was collecting the morning dew, I saw a man dressed in black coming out of your house with a flying fox in his hands. He headed toward the frontcourt. I suspected nothing at the time, so I didn’t ask.”
“Who is he?”
“The sky was still dark. I didn’t get a good look at him. But by the looks of his attire, he looks like the butler of the Zhao family…”
Before the girl could finish, Wutian’s face turned grim. He jumped and disappeared across the lake.
It was now clear to him who the culprit was. At first, Wutian had the same suspicion, too. But since they were at her house, and the Zhaos and the Fire Cloud Clan’s plan was about to begin, he thought she would not be this daring to attract attention. But he was wrong; he had underestimated her guts.
His murderous intent rapidly rose; he was determined to kill her.
“Did you really see it, Lan Miaomiao?” Everyone asked the girl in red after Wutian left.
Lan Miaomiao nodded.
“I heard that when Guyu and Shishi first arrived in Ironstone, Zhao Qing had wanted to buy the flying fox from them. If not for Zhao Kuang’s intervention, I am afraid things would have gone out of hand.”
“I heard that this Zhao lady was arrogant and domineering, caring for nobody. She would grab and take anything she likes by force. But because of the influence of the Zhao family in Ironstone, no one dares to say a word. Judging by how much Guyu cares for his sister, if Zhao Qing was the culprit, he would surely not let the guilty go unpunished.”
“Indeed. We all know how badass Guyu’s skill is. I am afraid he could really pose a challenge to the Omega-stage cultivators. And mind you, Zhao He is the only one who has attained the Omega stage in the Zhao family. Besides, don’t forget that there is also the brutally powerful Demon Toad. We will have an exciting drama unfold.”
“Come, let us go there and see what is going to happen.”
The rebuilt bridge was destroyed by Wutian again. So those people could only cross the lake by walking on water. Some of them whose cultivation base was not up to par could only watch on, or get someone to carry them.
“Wutian!” Han Tian came up and stood in his way. “I have heard about things between Zhao Qing and you. But this is not the time. Besides, Zhao He could have known you are being wanted by the Fire Cloud Clan. If he recognizes you, you will be in trouble.”
“Step aside!”
Wutian’s voice was frosty. When he saw the bruises on Shishi’s body, it felt as if he was stabbed in the chest. He blamed himself for it.
He had promised to take care of her. It had been only a few days since bringing her out to the outside world, and this thing happened. If he did not seek justice for her, how was he going to face the Five-colored Viper, Thunderbolt Eagle, and those thousands of demonic beasts? Even if he could, he could not forgive himself for it.
“Calm down, Wutian. If Huoshi isn’t in Mount Scorpius, he surely is in Zhao’s residence. If things blow up, you will blow your cover and that will affect our plan.”
“What does your freaking plan have to do with me?” Wutian held Shishi’s hand, side-stepping Han Tian and going ahead.
Little Tian stood on his shoulder, snarling at Han Tian behind Wutian. It swiped its claw across its throat, meaning whoever dared to hurt Shishi and Yi would have to die.
“What am I going to do?”
While still wondering what else he could do, Han Tian’s eyes scanned around and were locked on a target in a direction. There was a black rock, the size of a brick. It was none other than the iron rock. His eye lit up, and he quickly strode over, picked up the iron rock, and tossed it in his hand. It felt heavy and solid.
He put his hand holding the iron rock behind him and caught up with Wutian. “You look like a bull in temperament. Since you are so determined, and for the sake of the weal and woe that we had gone through together last night, I will help you. But you have got to promise me, don’t do anything more than necessary other than getting back the flying fox. Leave the grudges for next time.”
“Zhao He is a Yan Elder. He must know you. Don’t you fear that you will get exposed?”
“There is something you might not know, Wutian. Because of my extraordinary aptitude, mostly because of my handsome look, Master had been confining me at Mount Spiritus to practice cultivation. So there are few elders who know my existence.” Han Tian grinned.
Though it sounded like a joke, Wutian had his suspicion confirmed. If Han Tian was just an ordinary man, the Yan Clan master would not have been so protective of him.
“Deal.” Wutian nodded. But there was a stern look in his eyes as he brought Shishi walking ahead.
Just then, an evil smile spread across Han Tian’s face. The Power of Earth appeared on his palm and a yellowish glow on the iron rock. He then struck the back of Wutian’s head with force.
Before Wutian knew what happened, he was hit on the back of his head. A pain came, and the world was spinning around him. His vision went dark, and he dropped to the ground, unconscious.
“Not bad. This brick could knock out a genius of Ninety-nine Ultimate Realm, truly a badass weapon. I think I will keep it.” Han Tian snickered and put the iron rock into his Mustard Pouch.
“Wutian!” Shishi was stunned. She bent down and gave Wutian a shake. But there was no response. She glared at Han Tian. “Why did you hit him?”
“Caw!” Little Tian glowed in black light and instantly charged at Han Tian.
“Wait a second!” Han Tian was stunned. Flipping on his side, he barely dodged the attack. “Listen to me.”
Little Tian stopped and stood in front of Shishi to protect the two, the black light glowing even more intense. If Han Tian could not convince it why he attacked Wutian, it would attack.
