Heavenly Lord Asura - Chapter 50
Chapter 50: Frenzy
Han Tian summoned all his strength and was extra careful. He had to push Huoshi back. otherwise, he could not imagine what the consequence would be,
The bone spear looked menacing, demonic souls shrieked and roared. It was so loud that it was as if they were to rip the sky open.
Spur Beast was an ancient remnant. They had no flesh but unbreakable bones. Despite being a demonic soul, its strength was unbeatable.
Houshi’s heart skipped a beat. The bone spear could rip apart the sky and was many times more powerful than normal spiritual weapons. He had to be extra careful.
He spread out his hands in a straight beam posture. Black flames rose and gathered on his chest, then formed into a black sphere the size of his fist. The sphere carried dancing electric arcs and a hideous, contorted face of evil energy.
This was the Soul King. A cultivator practicing Spirit-Devouring Demonic Manual would nurture a king after devouring too many vengeful souls. and this king was called the Soul King.
When a Soul King appeared, it would absorb all the subsequent vengeful souls to strengthen itself. When it finally attained spirituality, it would be akin to the clone of a cultivator. But this clone was extremely evil and powerful.
But not all cultivators of Spirit-Devouring Demonic Manual could nurture a Soul King. The reversal of the demonic manual was needed to do this, and it came with a high risk. For each realm a cultivator attained, Heaven would hand down a Thunderous Retribution of the Demons.
This was what worried Liuyan. How could a mortal withstand the Heavenly retribution? Was he not going to end up dead?
But once Spirit-Devouring Demonic Manual was reversed, it could no longer be restored.
Huoshi had no intention of practicing Spirit-Devouring Demonic Manual at first. When he first saw his second uncle use this ability in Dragon Village, he was hooked. So he made use of his position as the young master of the clan, he successfully laid his hands on the demonic manual. When he first tried to devour a living person, absorb his blood and soul, his strength increased several folds. Since then, he was addicted.
He killed thousands of people in the subsequent months. When grievance rose to a horrible level, it triggered the reversal of the demonic manual and a Soul King was born.
As soon as the Soul King appeared, black mist shrouded the place, blocking off the sky. An uncountable number of vengeful souls surrounded it, roaring, crying, and perturbing the minds. It was the real king.
The Soul King rose into the air and swelled with the wind. It had grown to ten-foot-wide in just the blink of an eye. It had eyes that glowed in red and stank of blood. When it opened its mouth and roared into the sky, the entire dimension shook.
With the company of the vengeful souls, it gnawed the bone spear. Its mouth suddenly generated a powerful suction force, wanting to devour the demonic soul of the bone spear.
The demonic soul fought back and roared. The bone spear shook violently, wanting to break free from Han Tian’s hand.
Han Tian hissed and a golden light burst out of the bone spear. He let off his hand, then struck with a palm. The bone spear flew out like a divine bolt, piercing through everything.
The newborn Soul King was still fragile. No way it could stop the terrific piercing power of the bone spear. It cried out as it crumpled, light particles falling like a rain before returning to Huoshi’s body. It did not die.
Blood spurted out of Huoshi’s mouth. His face became pale.
Han Tian kept pursuing. He grabbed the bone spear back in his hand and thrust forward.
Huoshi quickly stepped back and was down on the ground. He had no choice but to retreat; the crumpling of the Soul King caused his Sea of Qi to go on a rampage, and it was difficult to suppress it for the moment. Besides, he felt weak at the knees, as if his strength had left him after the blow.
Boom!
The bone spear missed its target, but still blasted a ten-foot-deep hole in the ground. Han Tian followed with a sideways sweep, the energy of which could cut through mountains and shatter rocks.
Huoshi was forced to beat a hasty retreat. He was far away from the mountain peak in no time.
The battle on the other side had been tragic. The blood mist in the surroundings was still lingering around.
Wutian had wounds all over his body, his flesh peeling open, and he had lost quite an amount of blood. He had exhausted over half of his strength and now was entirely relying on his determination and willpower to fight the burly man.
This land was in destruction, not an inch of land was intact. Pits were everywhere and lava was bubbling.
Little Tian’s body was red; it was drenched in blood. Both its claws snapped, so it could only depend on its teeth.
But Elder Wu was even worse in comparison. His body was mutilated. He had lost an eye. He had never suffered such humiliation before, thanks to the two frenzied little bastards.
He was utterly exhausted. What drove him crazy was the mind torment. No matter what lethal attack he inflicted on the two, they would recover in just a while. This had never happened before. If given a choice, he would rather fight the great cultivators of his level than facing these two monsters.
Wutian and Little Tian had consumed the divine liquid of the naturally born divine being. During the refinement practice, part of the divine liquid was hidden inside their bodies. But now, it came in handy as it constantly healed their wounds and injuries, as if they had an unlimited source of power.
A punch landed on Wutian’s face. It was so solid that it broke his nose and blood spurted out instantly.
As if he felt no pain, he struck out his left hand and grabbed the fist. Next, a silverish light appeared, and Elder Wu cried out in pain as a chunk of flesh was ripped off his arm.
“Son of a bitch!” Elder Wu could not control his anger. He had lost count of how many times he burst out in anger. He had no idea what kind of demonic beast it was; all he knew was it kept biting him like an angry dog. Did it have other means of attack?
He summoned his strength to his arm, sending Wutian to fly out and crash into a few large rocks. It broke his scapula before he came to a stop.
Half-kneeling on the ground, he looked at the Stele of Spiritual Incarceration beside him. An idea came to mind. He shot Little Tian a look, and Little Tian knew what he meant.
Wutian swung back into action. He swiftly came behind Elder Wu and struck out a punch and a kick. The invisible energy brought the lava several hundred feet up in the air, causing the vegetation a thousand feet away to go up in flames.
Meanwhile, Little Tian was slippery as an eel, and it was targeting his remaining eye.
Elder Wu had learned his lesson. After losing an eye, he was wary and forced to retreat, unknowing coming within ten feet of the stele.
The two seemed to have been doped. They attacked relentlessly and were unafraid of dying.
As Elder Wu retreated further and his back was almost against the stele, a sense of uneasiness hit him, and he instinctively stopped in his tracks. A pair of fists came straight for him, hitting him head-on and sending him flying backward before crashing into a huge rock.
Wutian coughed out blood from his mouth, looking weak. “We have got to finish this.”
Little Tian poked out its tongue and licked the blood off its mouth, then nodded. The two lunged out at warp speed and came in front of Elder Wu before he could react.
Wutian roared. The Essence elixir rushed out of his Sea of Qi as if a floodgate had been opened. It flowed quickly into every cell of his body. He was summoning every bit of his strength, his body glowing. He was shivering because he was excited. His body was absorbing it like a sponge.
This was too powerful, and he had lost control of it. As the energy burst out of him, the earth trembled and abysses formed. Each of the abyss was hot-red. They had awakened the Primordial Scorpion underground.
The scorpion could smell the rascals that took away the giant egg. It roared without making a sound, the lava sea billowing, putting out lava waves of tens of thousands of feet high, melting the cliff of the abysses.
Wutian was stunned to sense a faint mental connection between him and the Primordial Scorpion. He seemed to have sensed the wrath and the murderous intent in it. A chill ran up his spine, and he was too afraid to think about it. He thought he was as well finish the business and leave.
As if triggered by impact, the God’s Left Hand glowed. The light was mild but had a mysterious horror vibe. It shuddered once, as if it were a heartbeat.
But Wutian did not notice that.
He struck out a punch, which carried a sense of unyieldingness and persistence. So what if you are a great cultivator of the Meridian Growth period? I would still crush you. But things did not turn out the way he thought. The difference between them was not in stages but of the realm.
Elder Wu might be badly wounded, but his strength remained. He struck out a palm, putting out tons of Essence elixirs. Blood spurted out of Wutian’s mouth as he was blown away and crashing into an ancient tree.
Wutian smashed the tree with his hand, then clambered to his feet and charged at Elder Wu.
Elder Wu’s face grave; it was a tough battle. He even started to suspect that these two idiots were offspring of a primordial vicious beast. A Meridian Growth great cultivator has failed to kill two Reborn idiots. No one would have believed him if news leaked out.
He was wounded and had lost an eye. For a second, he thought of hitting himself in the wall. If this kept going, he could very well lose his mind.
Little Tian opened its mouth and faded into a silverish light. Elder Wu performed a punch. He had to be careful because this little beast was responsible for causing over half of his injury. If he were not careful, he might lose another chunk of flesh.
But Little Tian was only feigning an attack with its teeth, the real deal was its pair of legs. Just as Elder Wu’s punch arrived, Little Tian suddenly stopped and grinned, then descended quickly while giving his loin a good kicking.
With such a ferocious kick in such a fragile spot, he heard something crack.
Elder Wu cried out; the pain was excruciating. His wail had alarmed the demonic beasts in the surroundings, and they all looked in this direction, wondering if someone was slaughtering a wild boar.
He held his loin, jumping up and down. His face reddened, then quickly turned maroon. His eyes were bloodshot with tears flowing involuntarily. He was filled with murderous intent and grudges. If his eyes could kill, he would kill that little thing a thousand times.
That little beast was too baleful, too dirty. It had f*cking broken his eggs. How could it do this?
No matter how much hatred between them, it was a heinous crime to target his private part.
He regretted it. He should not have taken up this mission. Why did he want to anger these two monsters? If not for his greed, this tragedy would not have happened.
But things had not ended yet. Wutian took this opportunity and came within 6 feet from him, then lunged up all of a sudden, and leveraging on the momentum, he performed some violent kicks.
Before Elder Wu could react, he was sent flying into the Stele of Spiritual Incarceration. His body shook, hand dangling down listlessly. His face looked inanimate and blood spurted out of his mouth. The stele was devouring him.
His soul was snatched away. There was no cry of pain. He was motionless, just like what happened to Wutian when he touched the Stele of Soul’s Incarceration back then.
