Heavenly Lord Asura - Chapter 51
Chapter 51: Turn of Events
The Stele of Spiritual Incarceration and the Stele of Soul’s Incarceration had one common feature, which was suck away sous.
Wutian and Little Tian finally breathed a sigh of relief. As if his strength had left him, he suddenly felt weak at the knees, his legs shivering uncontrollably.
After a long battle, they were suffering from terrible trauma to their bodies. It would take at least a few months to heal.
The fact that they had defeated a great cultivator of the Meridian Growth period would shock the world. It did not matter if they had used unconventional battle tactics.
Wutian let out a long sigh, hands clenched into fists, and was ready to strike.
Elder Wu had too solid a cultivation base. He needed to finish him off just to make sure, then he would truly feel relieved.
Little Tian was already making its move. It jumped onto the burly man’s head, spread out his legs and peed on his head.
It grinned with great pleasure, looking extremely obscene, needing a good spanking.
Wutian restrained himself, his face darkening, blue veins popping up on his skin. Had he killed all other enemies and still had some extra strength left, he would punch him with all his remaining strength.
“Caw, caw!”
Little Tian held up his head, shaking his leg, feeling good about itself: cool, charming, and smug.
It seemed that he had unless urine. Elder Wu was soaked to the skin and Little Tian had not finished yet.
A pungent smell permeated the air. On the ground, a group of bugs could not take it anymore and fled for their lives. Some nearly fainted, some burst out in anger. “Which bugger is so uncivilized, not caring if this is the right place?”
Wutian pinched his nostrils, nearly wanting to give the thing a good slap. But he also felt good at the same time by humiliating him. The two of them nearly died.
He did not mind if the body was disgusting; he searched it and helped himself to the Mustard Pouch that he found. The pouch bulged quite badly. It must be holding a ton of stuff. But he did not open it. He tucked it away and kept rummaging around. But this time, he was disappointed as he found nothing else.
“This guy is pathetic!”
“Elder Wu?” Liuyan was at the mountain peak. But from that distance, she could make out that something was wrong with Elder Wu. She could not help crying out, but there was no response.
Her heart skipped a beat. She had a bad feeling about it and wanted to call for Huoshi. But he was five miles away, tied up with Han Tian. Even if he knew about the situation here, he simply could not come over.
She was fighting with herself, hesitating whether she should act alone. At last, she gritted her teeth and slid down the peak.
Despite losing her cultivation base, she was still physically fit. Besides, she could slide down the mountain, which was not much of a challenge to her.
Liuyan pressed her hand on her belly and staggered forward. With each step she made, blood would ooze out from the wound. When she finally came in front of the portal, she took out a five-colored emblem the size of her palm. It glowed in different colors and emanated a horrible energy.
She bit her tongue and spat out the blood. Still glowing in brilliant lights, the emblem absorbed all the blood. She placed it into the portal and it disappeared at once.
Wutian frowned when he saw Liuyan, an uneasy feeling hitting him. “Prodigal, finish him off! Quick!”
Fighting back the pain, he staggered up to Liuyan. “You surely never thought things would end this way, did you?”
Liuyan’s face was pale. She looked at him for a moment and smiled, looking like a blossoming pure white lily, which was a very ironic contrast to the situation here. “Never. I never expected an innocent village boy could grow to such a strength in just a few months. Your are the first one in Redsun Mountains.”
As soon as her voice trailed off, a dull but loud sound was heard. She looked in the sound’s direction and her heart skipped a beat. Little Tian’s legs were glowing in silverish light as it kicked relentlessly with its legs.
Elder Wu’s skull cracked open, blood spurting along with the brain. It was a horrible scene.
He did not fight back, as if a walking dead. He seemed to have no sense of pain, even though his skull had broken apart. He just did not make a sound.
“Caw!”
Little Tian summoned all its strength this time. With 80,000 to 90,000 pounds of force, Elder Wu’s skull instantly shattered. His heart stopped beating, his breathing stopping, and the last sign of life left him.
He became a headless corpse, sitting motionless with his back leaning against the stele.
The Stele of Spiritual Incarceration was strange—too strange. Just like that, the great cultivator of the Merian Growth period was incarcerated here. There was no resistance from him. This was why it was so horrifying.
“We underestimated the little beast and you. This was the gravest mistake we have ever made since the last two decades. Had we left no one alive back then, things would not have ended this way.” Liuyan pulled back her eyes. She was very calm.
“Would you like to do it yourself, or let me do it for you?” Wutian looked at her coldly.
Liuyan let out a bright smile. The place looked more pleasant because of her smile. It was a special kind of beauty, where sorrow carried a sense of happiness. This was her truest ever smile.
When she followed Huoshi and did not agree with what he did back then, she could only put on a smiling face and support him quietly. But now, her Sea of Qi had been destroyed and the cultivation base gone. She felt useless now. Death was the best way to find closure.
She looked at the shadow fighting in the distance, her eyes filled with endless gentleness, love, and a hint of reluctance. “Huoshi, I will go ahead of you. Don’t be sad for me but be strong,” she mumbled.
She then turned to look at Wutian. “Be careful, Wutian.”
Following that, a series of snapping sounds came from her body, blood flowing out of her mouth. She killed herself by destroying her meridians.
Wutian was having a mixed feeling. Liuyan should not have died in the first place. It was Huoshi who dragged into this. But if she did not die, how was he going to answer the dead villagers and his grandpa?
Little Tian was covered in blood when it jumped onto Wutian’s shoulder. It gave him a couple of knocks on his head and looked in a direction, which meant this is not the time to feel sad yet; there is one more left.
The portal suddenly vibrated with a buzz, and a furious voice came. “Death to those who killed my disciple!”
The voice resounded in the air. Even the lava was surging and clouds dispersed. Blood spurted out of Wutian’s mouth and he was forced back several steps. He was stunned and wondering who this person was.
This person could exude such a powerful energy with just his voice, which shook heaven and earth, sent his internal organs churning, and stirred his blood billowing in his veins. This was not a great cultivator of the Meridian Growth period. It was a powerful one with an even higher realm.
“How dare you kill my beloved student and elder, you little punk! Death is your only reward!” The voice was overpowering, shaking mountains and rivers. It was definitely the top fighter of the Fire Cloud Clan.
“Yan is gone…” Huoshi’s face lacked expression. After forcing back Han Tian with a palm, he rushed over, and tears finally flowing out of his eyes.
“How could you leave me like that, Yan!” He roared, going up in black flames. Even the sky had dimmed for a second. His sorrow was inconsolable. He was bleeding inside.
The anguish was indescribable. He had never had this feeling before. Not even when his mother died.
“Don’t run, you son of a bitch!” A bone spear shot out to the roar of the spur beast. Power of Wind appeared and Han Tian came in front of Huoshi in a flash.
At almost the same time, the bone spear struck Houshi’s chest and blood spurted out. Huoshi looked hideous. As if he felt no pain, he grabbed the bone spear and pulled it out of his chest, along with a large chunk of his flesh.
He clenched the bone spear in his hand while demonic energy rushed out, demonizing the demonic soul with black flames dancing.
He threw the bone spear out with force, and it pierced through the air like a peerless divine bolt.
Han Tian hissed, throwing his body to one side while summoning a Power of Earth in his hand. He then caught the bone spear with his hand, spinning it around and striking it out sideways. Such an awesome defensive skill.
He started to launch a relentless attack. The bone spear’s motion was quick and forceful, striking down everything in its path. The surroundings shook with a series of explosions. Huoshi roared in frenzy and tried all he could but still failed to get away.
The portal vibrated even more violently, as if some terrific vicious beast was about to cross the boundary into this world. The dimension within a five miles radius was trembling and cracking. Chaotic energy started to leak in.
Next, the entire mountain range shook. Beasts were crying and fleeing, forest trampled and falling.
Birds fled in flocks, rising into the air and blocking off the sky.
Wutian was shocked. He suddenly realized that it must be the emblem that Liuyan had sent before she died. She used the portal to send a message to the elders of the clan. That was why she said ‘Be careful’ to him.
“Destroy the portal!”
Wutian and Little Tian lunged forward. They were holding nothing back this time; they were summoning their last drop of energy. The only way to stop the teleportation was to destroy the portal.
But the portal was unbelievably tough, as if it was made of an asteroid from outer space. Their attack disappeared into the portal without a single ripple.
“One more time!”
He shouted. Every punch of his was fully packed with energy. But the portal still stood there like a door to heaven. It was not very majestic, not even large, but it exuded an ancient vibe, a golden glow, and a mysterious energy.
