Here Lies The Wicked - Chapter 49
Chapter 49: Secret Edict of Spiritual Martial Arts
“This is Zhou City Hospital. Passengers are reminded to take care of their personal belongings when disembarking from the coach. Please disembark from the back of the coach.”
07:55…
07:56…
Time began to slip by minute by minute. When Fang Zheng had waited until about 08:10 in the morning, a cloud of Gray Qi had risen from inside the Zhou City Hospital.
Grey Qi, + one.
Fang Zheng was ecstatic and he smiled widely. However, a sudden wave of realization hit him as he wondered if he was playing a farming simulation game.
Since he started with no farming experience, and then began exploring the world on his own; killing pests, clearing the weeds, and then began adding manure to fertilize the land and now he had started his second plot of farmable land.
This plot of land was the Zhou City Hospital.
As of the current events, it had manifested a single cloud of Gray Qi.
However, it seemed this plot of land was extremely fertile. It had the potential to double, triple, or quadruple…in unleashing his potential. It would be wise to keep a close eye on its growth.
One of the farming plots would be the Hall of Four Season Pharmacy.
Although the soil quality was mediocre to say the least, it consistently produced one strand of Gray Qi within short periods of time.
Right, there was a snarky little vixen in that land too.
The changing times that would catch plenty of farmers off guard would be a massive headache.
At this moment, Fang Zheng punched his palm with a serious face. He had made his decision..
In order to increase economic production, he would need to begin tiling more lands. He could not solely depend on the two plots of land he invested in.
Yes.
The land around the university could potentially be his third plot of land.
His coming days would require his focus in tilling the land by the university.
Perhaps, that spot would not be farmland, and instead, could potentially be a high production mining zone! It might actually produce up to five or ten times more Gray Qi.
In other words, this might be an oil farm.
Hehe!
Fang Zheng was incredibly excited and he proceeded to stop a nearby cab and rushed over to the university.
However, before he left, he took a final glance at the hospital behind him.
It was unknown if the original poster who made that post was successful in sneaking into the hospital at this moment.
However, not long after Fang Zheng had left, a man wearing a reporter’s cap was trying to sneak into the hospital. However, he was stopped by a security guard by the door.
Coincidentally, it was the same guard who had previously stopped Fang Zheng. The same guard who had disguised himself as a doctor, the same guard who was about 1.8 meters tall.
“Sir, I’ll need you to remove your reporter’s cap and show me your ID. Thank you for cooperating.” The security guard spoke with a stern tone.
The man in a reporter’s cap was speechless…
“Here for a consultation?”
“Yea… Maybe, guess you can say that…”
“What do you mean by ‘I guess so’? It’s either you’re sick or you’re not. Do you even know what your ailment is? Could you possibly be here for a gastrointestinal examination?”
The man in the reporter’s cap was confused.
“Please cooperate and state your business here. We have a responsibility to ensure the safety of the lives and belongings of every single person here.”
“I’ve just heard my friend tell me that the prolonged consumption of poppy shells in your takeout would induce symptoms similar to that of a drug addict. The first sign would be hallucination, the second would be the loss of memory, the fourth would be the inability to keep track of numbers, the eighth would be the loss of memory. Yes, a total of ten symptoms. Although I know my body has always been healthy, I would really want to get a checkup done just to put my mind at ease.”
The security guard was speechless…
Fang Zheng had arrived at the university with the cab he called. Upon facing the concrete walls in front of him after he got out of the car, he felt crushed.
This would be like finding a needle from a haystack. Where would he even begin?
University City was located at the foot of the Xian Tai Tea Mountains. The new tea leaves had just circulated in the market, and it seemed the merchants who sold tea would be far and few between.
Therefore, Fang Zheng rented a car with his smartphone and decided to drive around University City.
The outer rim, and then the inner rim.
He had taken turn after turn within the inner and the outer rim…and within a blink of an eye, noon had arrived. However, he came back with nothing.
At that moment, Fang Zheng received a call from his courier informing him that the Secret Edict of Spiritual Martial Art he ordered online had been delivered. After thanking the courier, he told the courier to leave the parcel in the security room and he would collect it later.
It was around one in the afternoon.
The moment Fang Zheng drove by the roundabout of the outer roads of University City along the intersection near a park, he suddenly collected a single cloud of Gray Qi.
A familiar land rover had driven by Fang Zheng.
Thus, Fang Zheng was slightly stunned by it. He proceeded to follow behind it whilst a manic gleeful grin cracked on his face. He had almost cackled out loud.
It was as if he had been infused with shots of adrenaline when he had decided to immediately chase after the land rover.
However, the land rover was too fast and too far ahead of him.
Fearing he would be spotted, he dared not chase at full speed. After tailing behind it into several different streets, as expected, Fang Zheng could not keep up with the land rover and as a result, it got away.
He had lost sight of it in front of the electrical engineering faculty.
However, Fang Zheng dared not linger any longer to search for clues so he left in a hurry.
If the Supernatural Investigation Bureau was close to the electrical engineering faculty, then it was only natural for the surrounding perimeter to be highly secured and guarded.
If he had persisted and decided to look for clues, it would only result in him surrendering himself by walking into a trap.
However, on his journey back, he was secretly feeling ecstatic.
Although his target had gotten away, at the very least he had gained some clues.
It seemed that those people were dwelling around the electrical engineering faculty.
The next step would be to set up an ambush in order to find their base of operations.
“Also, Lu Dong is also a breakthrough since his mother is a professor there. If there is any sort of anomaly in the university, she should know…”
The more Fang Zheng thought about it, the brighter his eyes lit up with spirit. If the clues pointed him to University City, then it would not be too far from all three of his fertile lands.
The moment he thought about how the land he tilled might end up being an oil farm filled him with extreme glee.
Once again, he thought about how things progressed from last night till that moment. In less than a day, he had collected three clouds of Gray Qi. Fang Zheng grew increasingly excited for his future.
He returned to his little town.
He successfully retrieved the package.
The first was one of the three books in the Ultimate Manhood series, Limb of the Wind God.
Since he had exploded in wealth overnight, with the excess savings he had, he would be able to improve his mastery of the Weightless Skill.
The next thing he saw was the Art of Pure Yang and Art of Bone Fortification.
The instant he laid his eyes on the Art of Pure Yang, Fang Zheng’s expression grew bitter.
The Art of Pure Yan’ was literally another version of the Invincible Art of Pure Yang. This would require him to train on both of his inner and outer Qi. Even though that was meant for the training of his inner Qi, it was also able to strengthen one’s organs and fortify his skin and bones.
However!
The baffling act of removing the word ‘Invincible’, deleting parts that mentioned anything about the training of one’s inner Qi to pretend this book was the same one he was looking for… The supplier was insulting his intelligence. Was the supplier tossing his intelligence onto the ground and stepping on it?
Finally, at the very bottom of the stack, it was according to the Grand Martial Elder, the single book he claimed to search tirelessly for…
When he took out the Secret Edict of Spiritual Martial Arts, Fang Zheng had a violent twitch on his eyebrows.
He took out his smartphone, took a photo, and sent it to the supplier.
Fang Zheng said, [Hehe.]
The Library of The Grand Martial Elder replied, [??]
Fang Zheng simply said, [Dear Grand Martial Elder, have you received the picture that I’ve sent? Could you explain to me if these sketchy looking rare books are supposed to be the Secret Edict of Spiritual Martial Arts, or are you taking me for a fool?]
